The Warrior Mother: Raising Children the Enemy Cannot Snatch

Read the quote for today again after inserting the name of your child and yours where required.

Did that sound right in your ears?

ECHOES OF TRUTH
ECHOES OF TRUTH

Did it feel right in your heart?

Are you confident about that?

My sister, it is meant to feel true. If you are a Godly lady, this definitely should be the reality for you.

But if your confidence is shaky or missing altogether, kindly pay attention.

The Matter Is First About the Mother

The issue is not first about the child, it is first about the mother.

The kind of child the enemy cannot have is the one that is locked firmly in the arms of his mother, a godly mother!

The reason why it seems that the devil is winning over the hearts of many children today is because the mothers have not done what they should do in training up the child in the way they should go.

The Bible is very clear on the role fathers and mothers must play in the life of a child.

In proverbs 1:8-9, the roles are clearly defined. In a home, the father gives instructions to the child and the mother teaches the child. None is to be idle.

A father is to guide the child in the right direction of life, giving an order, but a mother is to impart knowledge and aid gaining understanding on matters of life to guide the child’s choices.

The problem is that if the mother herself is in every way ignorant, how will she teach the child on making the right decisions?

A Generation Under Attack

If we have been alert to the various woke culture around the world today, gradually spreading to Africa, there is so much target on children, intentional attempts to indoctrinate children into various evil, hell-originated agendas.

In the West, teaching children less than ages eight about sex and having them explore their bodies has since become normal. Children are being brainwashed into thinking they can change their biological genders to their preferred choices.

Just a random search on the internet, there are many children books, videos, programmes that have carried various evil agendas with the aim of polluting the minds of children. Children can no longer be corrected, disciplined in schools, at home, in public spaces.

Any attempt to do that, is considered a violation of their human right and they can be taken away from their parents.

We may think those are peculiar to the West alone but the tides are fast changing than we are aware of even in our own land.

In Africa, isn’t it already a norm to have television shows, internet sites, nannies, schools (boarding and day), the church, grandparents and the likes raising our children?

The mother who is meant to teach the child has become engaged and preoccupied with many other things but the one assignment God really hoped she would take seriously!

Then over time, these same mothers complain that the child is too stubborn, is rude and impolite, is too addicted to screens, is not doing well academically, eats only junks, can’t clean up after themselves, still bed wets and every other complaint possible (Proverbs 10:1).

Why so? Because the mother had not made herself available to wrap her arms around her child and nurture, teach the child in the way he should go.  She ends up being bitter as a mother (Proverbs 17:25).

The truth is that unless a woman recognises and understands God’s expectations over her life when He gifts her children, she will take it seriously by first equipping herself with the right knowledge.

Any mother who will faithful nurture a child in the way of the Lord who has blessed her with that child, she will know she must teach her hands to war and her fingers to fight.

The enemy knows the potential of every seed a woman bears. Each seed has the in-laid ability to crush its head hence, it would not take that chance to let that child become a full blown battle axe in God’s hands.

It is only a godly mother that can raise a godly child that God will find use for in His eternal agenda. This thus makes the enemy to always come back to the woman. He would whisper sweet nothings to her ears to lure her away from being watchful and intentional about teaching her child to make the right choices in life.

The devil comes and reorders her priorities. She begins to take public appearances as more important that private realities. She focuses on renewing the outward while the inward perishes away. She is more attentive to people’s approvals and opinions of herself, her home over what pleases God.

A Mother’s Prayer Pattern

Every woman must desire the gift of the sons of Issachar, being able to understand times and seasons.

A woman in Christ who is able to know and recognise the spiritual climate of her home and the stages of her children’s growth will be able to fight the enemy accordingly and win.

She will be able to apply her heart to the wisdom for the salvation of her children. She will know when to pray for her children the various prayers Jesus prayed for His disciples.

Jesus prayed for Peter. He said that the devil had asked to sift and shake his faith but that He had prayed for Peter.

Another time, Jesus prayed for their oneness.

He prayed for their sanctification, prayed for their growth in the Knowledge of God.

Jesus prayed that they will receive the Holy Spirit.

Jesus thanked God on their behalf for having their names written in the Book of Life. This much and more will a godly woman also do over the life of her children!

A Biblical woman is able to understand that her role in her children’s life will reveal in the future if she had lived right or had failed as a mother. The mother and grandmother of Timothy certainly did not fail for they raised the boy child into a man that Apostle Paul could commit himself to.

Something a godly mother must never forget is that for every child God has blessed her with, God knew exactly what He was doing.

Just as God sent John to Elisabeth, sent Jesus to Mary, sent Timothy to Eunice and Eunice to Lois, God knew exactly what He was doing!

Everything each of those children required to learn that they may make the right decision, God had prepared it with their mothers just like He placed all the nutrients in her breastmilk.

Elisabeth hid for five months after getting pregnant. John certainly learnt this separation method from his mother and it was useful for him when he needed to start his ministry.

Mary the mother of Jesus was so quick, prompt to yielding to the Father’s will. Jesus learnt this from her as a child such that as He grew in stature, He could make the decision to seek God for Himself.

How about Timothy? Paul commented that he saw in Lois and Eunice the kind of faith that Timothy had hence in ministry, Paul said that Timothy was the only one who was not seeking his own (Philippians 2:20-23)!

What every child needs to grow into becoming all God purposed in His heart has been provided in the mother who should nurture him.

The enemy doesn’t like that, he doesn’t want that, he will fight it.

That is why a woman must submit herself to the tutelage of the Holy Spirit and let Him form Christ in her.

When Christ daily has His way in a woman, fulfilling her role as a mother becomes easier because she would be doing it not by her own strength but by the power of the Lord. She would not rely on her own wisdom or that of the world to raise God’s seeds. She would depend on God and be content with His ways. She would be daily dependent on His Word that it may light her feet and her path in motherhood

Any woman committed to raising her children for God, the enemy is terrified with the end result. Such children truly serve God’s intentions in their generation.

How Can Snatch the Child of the Warrior Mother?

Dear sister, now tell me, how will Satan snatch this child from her?

Satan wants the child early. He looks for access from a young age. He looks for carelessness, for absence, for moments where no one is watching.

He looks for open doors through cousins, neighbours, familiar people, small interactions that seem harmless where the child can be introduced to sexual immorality. But this woman is very sharp. She is present. She is not moving about while her child is left exposed. She is there, attentive, aware. She does not move blindly through life.

The Warrior Mother Raising Children the Enemy Cannot Snatch

She discerns. She sees patterns. She senses danger early. No one handles her child carelessly. No one crosses boundaries unnoticed. She is watching, and she is prayerful. Her life before God has made her sensitive, and that sensitivity becomes protection around her child.

She is not loose-mouthed. She does not speak about her children anyhow. She does not expose their lives, their struggles, their weaknesses to just anyone, even family members. She covers them with wisdom.

And she is not wicked. She understands that her children carry the same Adamic nature she herself had to struggle with as a young child and which she is still daily dying to now even as an adult . So she does not deal with them from anger, frustration, or cruelty. She deals with them with understanding.

She introduces them to the Lord. She teaches them repentance. She leads them again and again to God. From when that child can speak, she has already started guiding that child into confession, into prayer, into the knowledge of God, into the awareness of the Holy Spirit. Until they are indeed saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit. She teaches them to read Bible, not just the fable-Bibles being made for kids

So tell me, how will Satan snatch such a child?

And dear single sister, this does not begin later. It begins now. You are not waiting until you have children. You are growing now. You are learning now. You are asking the Holy Spirit to open your heart.

You begin to align your heart with His purpose. You begin to love what He has called you to. You start preparing now. You are already praying for your seeds. You are already speaking over their lives. You are already fasting. So tell me, how will Satan snatch that child that has already been covered before it even enters the womb?

And when pregnancy comes, the work deepens. You lay your hands on your womb. You pray. You command. You speak life, direction, purpose. Ayaaaa…..See, that womb is not silent. That womb is an altar. You are not just carrying a child, you are stewarding a destiny. So tell me, how will Satan snatch that child?

As the child grows, your awareness grows. You know your children deeply, in and out. You have built relationship with them. There is closeness. There is trust. They can speak to you freely. They are not afraid of you. Just as you speak openly to your Father in heaven, your children can come to you. Nothing is hidden. Nothing is too small to discuss. When Satan is coming to knock on their door, they have quickly discussed it with you. So tell me, how will Satan snatch that child?

And you are not declining spiritually. You are growing. Every year, your spiritual eyes are sharper. Every year you are stronger in the Lord. You are not unaware. You are not passive. You are alive in the Spirit. So tell me, how will Satan come and take what you are actively watching over?

Look at Mary. She stayed with her Son. She followed closely. She remained present. Even to the cross, she was there. That is a mother. A mother carries her child beyond the womb. The prayers she prayed before birth, during pregnancy, after birth, as the child grows, they do not disappear. The prayer of a godly mother does not die. Many times she is praying by the Spirit, and the Scriptures show that the Spirit helps us and makes intercession. Those prayers remain active. So tell me, which Satan will override such prayers?

This woman understands discipleship. She does not merely raise children, she raises followers of the Lord. She teaches them to carry their cross. She teaches them to deny themselves. She teaches them to follow God daily. She does not indulge them. She disciplines them. She is fierce against sin. She loves righteousness and hates iniquity. She is not casual about wrong. She deals with bad influences, removes harmful content, corrects wrong habits immediately. She is not loose. She is intentional.

She introduces the Holy Spirit to her children and ensures they are led by Him from a young age. So tell me, a child filled with the Spirit, grounded in truth, raised under watchfulness and prayer, who is the devil that will snatch that child?

Also, she is a loving wife. She is submissive. She builds her marriage with intention. She knows that one of the greatest gifts she can give her children, after the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, is a sound home. So she builds it.

There is peace. There is order. There is stability. The father stands as a father, the mother stands as a mother, and the home is aligned. In such a place, there is no space for intrusion. So tell me, which Satan enters such a home and succeeds?

Dear sister, nothing perishes in the hands of a Godly woman. If anything is perishing in your hand at the moment, it is never God’s fault. Check it very well and you’d realize that something has tampered with your Godliness and Holy Living.

May God make us such women in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Let Us Pray

Father in heaven, I have come before you today, thanking you for this Word again. I ask that You will make me a godly woman indeed. A woman who truly knows You. The Bible says that those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits. Lord, bring me into that reality. Let my walk with You be real, living, and growing daily. Let Your Word dwell richly in me, correcting me, training me, and shaping my heart until I reflect Christ in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Father, make me watchful. Open my eyes to see. Sharpen my discernment. Let me not be careless over anything You have placed in my hands. The Bible says I should be sober and vigilant. Help me to live like that. Teach my hands to war and my fingers to fight. Let me be alert in the Spirit. Let nothing slip through my hands out of ignorance or neglect in the mighty Name of Jesus.

Lord, I bring my children before You, every seed You have given me and every seed You will yet give me. The Bible says children are an heritage from the Lord. Father, I return them to You. Lay Your hand upon them from their earliest days. Let them be taught of the Lord, and let great be their peace. Let their hearts be inclined toward You from childhood. Let them love righteousness and hate iniquity in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Father, I stand against every agenda of darkness over my seeds. Every plan to corrupt them, to confuse them, to defile them, I reject it in the name of Jesus. The Bible says no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Let no evil hand touch them. Guard their minds, guard their bodies, guard their spirits. Let no wrong influence take root in them in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Lord, help me to raise these seeds rightly. Give me wisdom to teach, patience to correct, and grace to be consistent. The Bible says I should train up a child in the way he should go. Show me that way clearly and help me to lead them in it daily. Let my home be a place of light, a place of order, a place where Your presence dwells.

Father, help me in my marriage. Teach me to honor my husband. Teach me to build my home with wisdom. The Bible says every wise woman builds her house. Lord, make me that woman. Let there be peace in my home. Let there be unity. Let my children grow in an atmosphere that reflects Your order and truth in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

For this present season of my life, Lord, I yield myself to You. I choose to grow. I choose to learn. I choose to prepare. Work in my heart. Align my desires with Your will. Let no season be wasted in my life in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Father, fill my children with Your Spirit. Let them know You for themselves. Let them hear Your voice. Let them walk with You all the days of their lives, from their childhood. The Bible says as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Let this be their portion in Jeuss Name.

And Lord, let it be said of me that nothing perished in my hands. Not because of my strength, but because You helped me, You guided me, and You upheld me.

I receive grace for this calling. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
