Why Oliveshoots Kids TV?

You see, we adults have been blessed many times by the truth. We go to church. We listen to sermons. We attend Bible studies. We grow, we learn, and we are constantly being fed with the Word of God. But many times, our children are left out.

While we are feeding on truth, many of our children are feeding on ‘witches’ of Oz, ‘Uncle Good monster’, ‘Beast vampires Heroes’, ‘The magic wand potion’, ‘The Evil urchin tod’ and all sorts of unimaginable titles that have nothing to do with God and so much to do with the spirit of this world. They are beautifully produced, colourful, and attractive, but empty of truth. Empty of life. Empty of values. And slowly, these things begin to shape their imagination, their thinking, and even their fears.

If you have a burden for your children, if you care deeply about what they are being fed from the very beginning, then this is for you.

By the grace of God, The BUD Family Africa is launching Oliveshoots Kids TV on the 2nd of February. That is less than a month from now. Oliveshoots Kids TV is a Christian children’s channel created to feed young hearts with Bible truth, Christ-centred songs, and wholesome teachings while they are still tender.

This is not entertainment for entertainment sake. This is an assignment given to us by God.

We are very deliberate with everything we create. Our videos are not easy to make. We carefully write godly songs. Images are carefully, prayerfully and painstakingly created. We pay close attention to what children see, how they are dressed, and what is being modelled before them. We are intentional about modesty, decency, and simplicity. We want children to see God clearly, not wrapped in magic, fantasy, or false spirituality.

This ministry is not trying to copy what is already out there. We are responding to a need. We want to show children the real God, from the beginning, in a way that is gentle, joyful, and true.

How You Can Support This Work

As we prepare for this launch, we are asking for three simple things:

• Please keep praying for us, for strength, for grace, and for God to send labourers into His work.
• Please share this with parents, churches, Sunday school teachers, and anyone who is concerned about what children are consuming. And please subscribe to the Olive Shoots Kids TV channel and help us grow to our first 1,000 subscribers quickly, so that this work can reach more homes.
• Most importantly, pray for the hearts of the children who will be watching. Pray that from the cradle, God will touch their hearts, draw them to Himself, and raise them for His glory alone.
