Oh yes, sis! Do Not Go Into the New Year Without a Word!
Have You Received a Word for The New Year Yet? If not, why not?
What has the Lord said about the new year for you? I mean God, not your imagination. Not just you reading scriptures and choosing the one you like. I’m talking about what you investigated in prayer.
What did God answer you when you asked Him what the year would be about?
God does not always talk so much, but He answers so much, sis.
Many people expect God to appear in a dream and announce, “This is how your year would go.” But it doesn’t always happen that way. Most times, it comes as an answer to a request. An answer to an asking!
He said, “Call upon Me, and I will answer you.” The truth is, many of us don’t ask. We don’t investigate. We don’t sit down with God. We don’t ask questions. We don’t dig. We just take God like Priest Eli- ‘He is God, let Him do as it pleases Him’. Ah! That’s a tragic way of doing the Christian life!
You need to find out what the year holds. What the months hold. Because those are the things you will hold on to in prayer. If you don’t have a word from the Lord, how will you even know when God has done it? How will you know when things are going off from the initial revelation? How will you war well? How will you discern correctly?

Stop waiting for your pastor or your favorite YouTube preacher to predict the year for you. Dig! C’mon, don’t be a lazy worshipper, dig into God and dig till you touch water! What have you found in your digging, sis? What has God said to you?

And this is why, in this season, you must learn to search in silence. Don’t be carried away by festivities. Don’t be swallowed by the problems around you. Sit with God. Ask Him plainly, “Father, what are You saying?” And as you ask, you will begin to see things. Sometimes, God will even expose the strategies of Satan to you, the exact areas the enemy wants to come through, and He will give you wisdom ahead of time.
My dear sister, if I will beg you for one thing in the new year, it is this:
Do more spiritual investigations! Do more sitting with God. Do more asking. Do more digging. Fish in deep waters. Let it make sense that God’s investment over your life is not wasted. Investigate what you hear. Investigate what you pick in your spirit. Investigate what clings to you in the scriptures. And keep returning His Word back to Him until you see the manifestation.
So in these next few hours leading into 2026, dig on. Ask the Lord:
“Father, do not allow me to enter the new year empty-handed. Do not allow me to enter empty-headed, empty-hearted. Give me what You are saying. Give me something to hold on to. Give me a word for my life. A word for my home. A word for my family. A word for my marriage. A word for my calling. A word for my health. A word for my parents. A word for everything that concerns me.”
Tell Him, “Lord, I’m not leaving Your presence until You answer me.”
And oh how God loves when His children ask Him questions. The Bible says it is the glory of God to conceal a matter, and it is the glory of kings to search it out- Proverbs 25:2.
He keeps those things for your glory, sis, so, go search them out!
