A Song for Your Waiting Season

A Song of Waiting Season

Waiting. It’s not easy, is it? Yet, there’s something profound about waiting. Something sacred that often goes overlooked in the hustle and bustle of life. It’s better to wait than to rush ahead of God, and trust me, He values those who wait on Him as waiting is a demonstration of faith, surrender, and trust in God’s perfect timing.

Many believers struggle with waiting. When life’s challenges roll their ways, they’d simply just scramble for quick solutions, trying to fix things by their own strength. But for the one who waits on God? Oh, what blessedness she stores up for herself!

A Song for Your Waiting Season

A Song for Your Waiting Season

One song that beautifully captures the essence of waiting is While I’m Waiting by John Waller.

About ‘While I’m Waiting’

While I’m Waiting is the theme song of the inspiring Christian movie ‘Fireproof’. It’s a declaration of faith in God during life’s waiting seasons. Written and performed by John Waller, the song will resonate deeply with anyone who’s struggling with unanswered prayers or delays.

The lyrics remind us that waiting isn’t about passivity or despair but about active faith, obedience, and surrender. It encourages believers to keep worshiping, serving, and trusting God, even when the answers seem far away.

How to Get the Best from the Song:

1. Put It on Repeat: The more you listen, the more the truth of the song will resonate with your heart.

2. Mean What You Sing: Don’t just sing the lyrics, sis. Let each line reflect your trust in God’s timing.

3. It’s Okay to Cry: If the song stirs up emotions, let them flow. Tears are a language Daddy understands.

4. Turn It into a Prayer: Personalize the lyrics in your prayers. For example, say, “Lord, while I’m waiting, help me to worship You and remain faithful.”

While I’m Waiting: The Lyrics

I’m waiting
I’m waiting on You Lord and I am hopeful
I’m waiting on You Lord, though it is painful
But patiently I will wait

And I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I’m waiting

I will serve You
While I’m waiting
I will worship
While I’m waiting
I will not faint
I’ll be running the race
Even while I wait

I’m waiting
I’m waiting on You Lord and I am peaceful
I’m waiting on You Lord, though it’s not easy, no
But faithfully I will wait
Yes, I will wait

And I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I’m waiting
I will serve You
While I’m waiting
I will worship
While I’m waiting
I will not faint
I’ll be running the race
Even while I wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
I’ll be taking every step in obedience, yeah
While I’m waiting
I will serve You
While I’m waiting
I will worship
While I’m waiting
And will not faint
And I will serve You while I’m waiting

I will worship while I’m waiting
I will serve You while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting
I will serve You while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting on You Lord
I will serve You while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting
I will serve You while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting

I don’t know if this message is coming at the right time or it’s my thought, but I’m actually at a point in my life where I need to make a decision either to still stay with my present job or leave it due to the pressure from where I presently work. Now going through this message, I don’t know if it’s God saying to me to still hold on. I’m just confused though.
