Church, Won't You Give God the Right to Move in Nigeria?

Church, Won’t You Give God the Right to Move in Nigeria?

The Church needs to understand exactly where it stands in this nation, Nigeria. We must awaken to the sheer magnitude of the power that has been invested in us.

Church, Won't You Give God the Right to Move in Nigeria?

Too often, we look at the chaos around us and feel helpless. Many believers have become discouraged and are beginning to look down on prayer because evil still persists in the land. But this is exactly what Satan wants: a church that stops believing in prayer!

We must not agree with that lie!

ECHOES OF TRUTH

The Scriptures say, “If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them…” (Matthew 18:19). Heaven responds to agreement on earth!

And He says ‘If two…’! Two!

This means even a husband and wife praying together form a powerful unit of the church. Add children to that altar, and the light becomes even stronger. Then think of families gathering together with other believers in congregations and assemblies. There is power there.

Jesus promised that the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church. So why are we looking down on our own prayers?

Why are we speaking as though prayer is powerless? Why are we acting as though darkness is stronger than the Almighty God?

Make no mistake, family of God! This is a tactic of the enemy. Satan wants us to underestimate the power of our altars so we will stop using them. But we cannot do this. We will not agree, and the devil will not succeed! Amen!

Oh, Church, There is a Battle of Legal Rights over Our Land!

Let us confront the brutal reality of our spiritual landscape: Satan currently has legal rights to operate in our land! Oh yes!

There is blood crying from the ground, there are ancient and modern curses speaking against us, and there is systemic corruption eating away at our foundation. Through these tokens of wickedness, the enemy has secured a legal platform to destroy.

God also needs a legal right to intervene!!! But oh, Church of God, can you please answer me: Do we give Him that right?

Do our churches even care to give Him the right of way anymore? Do our cries outweigh the cry of the blood of Abelssss?

We claim the blood of Jesus, but do we actually carry it and apply it against the spirit of death hovering over our nation?

Do we mourn? Do we groan? Do we actually feel the agony of our people, or have we completely lost it?

We Need to Let the Lord In Legally!

The heaven belongs to the Lord, but the earth has been entrusted to men (Psalm 115:16). If God will move in a nation, then the church must open the door through repentance, surrender, and desperate intercession.

God, in His wisdom, has bound much of His activity on the earth to the cooperation and invitation of men through prayer. This is why the Scriptures repeatedly show God seeking intercessors, watchmen, and men who will stand in the gap. Heaven looks for agreement on earth.

This is why prayer is not small.

When believers sleep, darkness advances more freely. When believers cry to God sincerely, heaven moves.

God has chosen to work only through yielded vessels, praying families, burdened churches, and consecrated intercessors.

God needs to be invited in! Our cries must subdue the voice of our accuser who wants to hold our nation in perpetual darkness. The Heaven is God’s, but the earth has been given to us. If He must act, we must call Him in, and we must do it in a desperate way, a way far more desperate than the claims of the devil against us. This is an altar versus altar situation!

Our prayers are the legal invitation God is waiting for. He rides on the wings of our prayers, and He is actively seeking for a man or a woman who will stand in the gap. Will you fold your hands, or will you give the Lord the right of way?

Church, Won't You Give God the Right to Move in Nigeria?

Why It Seems God Is Silent

We look at the persistent bloodshed, the unchecked terror, and the deepening corruption in Nigeria, and the agonizing question pierces our hearts: Why does it seem like God isn’t answering the prayers of the Church? Does prayer even work at all?

The truth is that prayer works, but heaven does not respond to religious showmanship or cosmetic noise. Satan does not flee because a congregation is loud; he flees when a church understands spiritual legality.

For years, the enemy has been operating on solid legal ground in our nation, building altars cemented by innocent blood, systemic theft, and generational curses. Meanwhile, the Church has largely offered emotional complaints, apathy, tribalism, entertainment programs, and prayerless gatherings focused on making a name rather than staying to tarry in the secret place.

God is not deaf, and His arm is not shortened that it cannot save, but He is a legal God who respects the spiritual laws of jurisdiction He established on the earth. When we pray without deep heart-repentance, when we run our services as business as usual while the land crumbles, and when our homes remain spiritually cold and empty of real intercession, we fail to give heaven the legal right of way to overrule the claims of the devil.

But we must understand that God is listening to the quiet remnants in our land. There are hidden intercessors, a faithful minority, who have refused to bow their knees to Baal or fold their hands in despair. They are weeping in secret places, and heaven is recording every single tear. And if you are one of them, you can’t give up now! Don’t you believe the lie that the prayers are not being answered!

The problem is that we often fail to recognize God’s answers because we are looking for the spectacular instead of the strategic. We think God answering prayer must always look like immediate thunderstorms, open skies, and instant, explosive judgments from heaven. No!

Sometimes, God answers prayers by giving us the stamina to endure the shaking until the corruption is fully ripe for uprooting.

At other times, an answered prayer looks like a hidden plot of the enemy being quietly exposed before it can manifest, or a key sponsor of terror experiencing sudden, unexplainable confusion in their camp.

Sometimes, God answers a nation by first purging the very Church that is praying, cleansing our altars, and breaking our pride so that when the victory finally comes, no man can take the glory for what only divinity could accomplish.

God’s silence is never an absence of movement. While we are looking at the visible chaos, His answers are often moving beneath the surface like a root growing in winter, shifting the hidden structures of power, raising up silent deliverers, and setting a spiritual trap for the forces of wickedness.

The prayers of the few are holding back the full wrath of the enemy from completely swallowing our nation, acting as a spiritual shield over cities and highways that would have otherwise been totally consumed.

Every groan from a bedroom altar, every cry of agreement between a husband and a wife, adds to the spiritual weight in the bowls of heaven. We must not measure the effectiveness of our prayers by the immediate headlines on the news, but by the unshakeable character of the God who swore that if we call upon Him, He will answer.

Heaven is not ignoring the minority; it is storing up their intercessions, and at the appointed time, the accumulated cries of the saints will collide with the legal power of the Blood of Jesus to trigger a time of refreshing and righteousness that no bandit, no corrupt system, and no demonic altar can stop, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Church, The Time to Repent is Now!

It is time to stop pointing fingers. Let us stop merely blaming the bandits. We must look inward. Have we ourselves been righteous? Have our churches been holy?

Even in the middle of this national crisis, it is business as usual in many places. Unnecessary church programs are being organized, and the weight of the moment is being missed.

Let it not be said in the courts of heaven that your family failed in heartfelt intercession while the nation bled. Let it not be recorded that we slept while darkness devoured the land. Raise an altar in your home. Cry to God. Stand in the gap. Let your household be counted among those who gave the Lord the right of way in Nigeria.

We need our cries of intercession and repentance to outweigh the cries of innocent blood shed in the land. We must plead for mercy and cleanse our own altars. It’s time to take our place, church of the Living God!

Deep Intercessory Prayers for Nigeria

“Then I set my face toward the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.” Daniel 9:3

Sovereign Lord, we come before You with broken hearts and contrite spirits, bowing low to weep for our nation and our heritage. We confess that we have sinned against You deeply, both as a people and as the corporate Church of God, loving the systems of this world, tolerating compromise at every level, mocking the standard of true holiness, and pursuing the vanity of names and platforms while the very ground beneath us bleeds with the agony of the innocent.

Forgive the Nigerian Church for its lukewarmedness, its blinding pride, its destructive greed, and its utter prayerlessness, for we have failed to tarry in Your presence, we have failed to stay at the altar, and we have done wickedly by substituting human programs for Your manifest power.

Look upon our families, O God, and extend Your radical mercy for the homes that have shut You out, for the parents and children who have refused to give You free course in their daily lives, and for the times our altars have gathered nothing but dust.

Cleanse our lips this day, Holy Father, purging us from every faithless murmur, every bitter complaint, and every dark word spoken in anger against our own land, and break the grip of spiritual slumber that has paralyzed our sanctuaries.

Wake us up from this deadly backsliding, shatter our apathy, heal our spiritual blindness, and cause the fire of a real, desperate belief in the raw, unadulterated power of prayer to consume our bones once again, in the mighty name of Jesus.

CHURCH, PRAY! (PART 2)

“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”  Matthew 6:10

Dear Father, the supreme King of the universe, we officially stand in our earthly jurisdiction today to issue a desperate invitation for You to invade and rule over this territory. We reject every lesser throne, we dethrone the ideals of corrupt men, and we invite You to take absolute, legal dominion over the entire geographical space of Nigeria.

Let Your heavy, unshakeable kingdom, oh Lord, break forth in the North, shattering every stronghold of tyranny and fear; let Your righteousness consume the South, breaking the power of perversion and greed; and let Your majestic glory take absolute over the East, the West, and the Central regions until the entirety of our national map is swallowed up by the presence of the Living God.

We declare that the days of men ruling for themselves are over, and we command that the perfect will of the Father be executed across our communities, our boardrooms, and our streets exactly as it is executed in the halls of Heaven.

We raise a collective cry to crown You as the single Lord over Nigeria, recognizing that we have no other helper to run to, no other hope to cling to, and no other defense to shield us from the storm, so arise in Your fury and establish Your eternal throne in our midst, in the mighty name of Jesus.

CHURCH, PRAY! (PART 3)

“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.”  Proverbs 21:1

O Lord God of hosts, You are the One who commands history and shapes the destiny of empires, and we demand that You move through the current government of Nigeria with overwhelming power. Just as You marched through the systems of the ancient Babylonians and overruled the decrees of the Medo-Persians to fulfill Your divine timeline, step into the leadership of our nation today and turn the hearts of our leaders toward righteousness, whether they are willing or unwilling.

Oh Lord, our God, show those in positions of power that You alone are God, shake every seat of corruption, dismantle every hidden conspiracy, and expose every wicked plot being orchestrated in high places to destroy the populace.

We release Your divine arrows of judgment against the bandits, the terrorists, and the dark orchestrators of chaos, commanding that Your fire locate and neutralize every sponsor, every mastermind, and every perpetrator of terror in our land.

Throw, oh Dadddyyyy, the camp of the enemy into total, irreversible confusion, smash the networks of wickedness that profit off our pain, and take absolute control of Nigeria’s borders, restoring the ancient gates of our nation and securing our land from every encroaching demon, in the mighty name of Jesus.

CHURCH, PRAY! (PART 4)

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…”  Revelation 12:11

“There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.”  Psalm 91:10

We position ourselves beneath the indestructible token of the New Covenant, and we deliberately cover every individual, every family member, and the entire body of Christ with the precious, speaking Blood of Jesus.

We spray and mark our households, our gateways, and our meeting places with the Blood of the Lamb, decreeing that when the destroyer walks through the land, he must pass over our lives, our children, and our domains without causing harm.

Lord, we enforce the covenant of protection over our borders and declare that no weapon forged against us shall prosper, and no plague or terror shall have the legal right to come near our dwellings.

None of us shall be abducted by the agents of darkness, we shall not be stolen away into the wilderness, we shall not be slaughtered on the altars of wicked men, and no stray or strange bullet shall have our names written upon it.

Our going out and our coming in blessed. Though a thousand may fall at our side and ten thousand may perish at our right hand, we declare with absolute authority that the destruction shall not touch us, in the mighty name of Jesus.

CHURCH, PRAY! (PART 5)

“The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”  Psalm 24:1

Sovereign God, the ultimate Owner of the universe, we call for a massive, unprecedented divine intervention from the heavens, demanding that You send help to Nigeria from every corner of existence.

Raise up external forces and activate internal instruments of deliverance to interject our land with supernatural rescue, breaking past every human limitation, every political bottleneck, and every military failure to bring alignment to our nation.

Step directly into the governance of Nigeria, disrupt the corrupt agendas of men, overrule every ungodly policy, and hijack this entire country for Your own glory and purpose.

Nigeria does not belong to the bandits, it does not belong to the blood-suckers, and it does not belong to the spirits of darkness; it belongs to the Lord God Almighty, and we ask that You lay Your sovereign, iron-clad claim upon this territory once again through the greatness of Your infinite mercy, in the mighty name of Jesus.

CHURCH, PRAY! (PART 6)

“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night…”  Isaiah 62:6

Jehovah, the One who builds an army out of dry bones, raise up an unyielding company of true intercessors unto Yourself across the length and breadth of this nation. Awaken watchmen who are completely blind to sleep, warriors who will give You absolutely no rest and no peace until the chains of Nigeria are shattered and this country is made a praise on the earth.

Bind the fragmented pieces of Your Church together, causing us to cooperate as a singular, lethal weapon of warfare that believes in the weight of intercession once again.

Envelope my life, my spirit, and my secret place with the raw fire of intercession, oh Lord, my od, burning away every trace of spiritual coldness, and let this exact same mantle fall upon my family until our bedrooms are transformed into raging furnaces of prayer that alter the spiritual climate of our nation, in the mighty name of Jesus.

CHURCH, PRAY! (PART 7)

“Mercy rejoiceth against judgment.”  James 2:13

Father of all comfort, an ocean of innocent blood has been spilled upon our soil, and the earth is groaning under the weight of the curses and the crimes committed within our borders. We know that by human standards, judgment should fall upon us, but we cry out for the law of the Spirit of life to supersede the law of sin and death, demanding that Your mercy rise up and completely prevail over judgment in Nigeria.

Let the Blood of Jesus Christ speak louder, deeper, and more powerfully over our states, our cities, and our villages than the voice of Abel’s blood that cries out from the ground for vengeance, Lord.

Silence the accusations of the adversary, cancel the demonic warrants operating against our people, and let the voice of total redemption speak peace over our troubled waters, in the mighty name of Jesus.

CHURCH, PRAY! (PART 8)

“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” Psalm 85:6

Almighty God, rip open the heavens and rain down a terrifying revival upon Your Church in Nigeria, shaking us out of our spiritual graves and resurrecting our dead altars.

Strip away the plague of entertainment Christianity, dismantle the monuments of shallow, cosmetic showmanship, and purge our pulpits of every compromise that has made us weak in the face of the adversary, Loooorrrrdddd.

Restore to us the holy burden of Zion, the weight of deep travail, the standard of uncompromised purity, and a gut-wrenching grief for the lost that causes us to weep between the porch and the altar, Fatheeerrr.

Let the absolute reality of Your presence return to our congregations, Lord, and cause the people of this nation to believe with unshakeable conviction that You are a God who answers by fire, in the mighty name of Jesus.

(PART 9)

“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”  1 John 3:8

We step into our apostolic authority today and we demolish every active altar of bloodshed, violence, witchcraft, terrorism, and systemic darkness operating anywhere within the borders of Nigeria.

We target every demonic principality, every territorial strongman, and every blood-sucking coven that feeds upon the fear, the panic, and the agony of our citizens, and we subdue them entirely under the iron rod of Jesus Christ.

Arise, O Lord, and let Your enemies be scattered; let the structures of darkness melt like wax before the fire of Your presence, and let every work of the devil manifest as completely destroyed before the eyes of our people, in the mighty name of Jesus.

(PART 10)

“I exhort therefore, that… prayers… be made for kings, and for all that are in authority.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Father, we pray for the leadership of our country, demanding that Your Spirit move forcefully through the corridors of power in Nigeria.

Confront our leaders, our governors, and our executives with the terrifying reality that You alone are King and God, stripping away their arrogance and replacing it with the fear of the Lord.

Grant them unusual wisdom, uncommon courage, and an unyielding desire for righteousness, while simultaneously frustrating every evil counsel, paralyzing every corrupt agenda, and causing Your divine purposes to prevail over the politics of our land, in the mighty name of Jesus.

(PART 11)

“Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 124:8

O Lord God, deliver us from the trap of faithless complaining, toxic murmuring, paralyzing fear, and the unbelief that has kept us looking at the size of our giants instead of the size of our God.

Teach our hearts to trust Your word implicitly once again, re-anchor our souls in the undeniable reality of Your sovereignty, and remind us that You are still the El-Shaddai who spoke the universe into existence. There is absolutely nothing too hard for Your hand, no situation too far gone for Your power, and no nation too broken for Your grace to fix, so we fix our eyes on You alone, in the mighty name of Jesus.

(PART 12)

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.” Psalm 122:6

Righteous Father, we officially hand over the entire entity of Nigeria into Your custody, pleading that the supernatural peace of God that passes all human understanding flood our borders from coast to coast.

We command every wave of terror, every agenda of kidnapping, every outbreak of communal violence, and every ritual of bloodshed to cease instantly by the voice of the Lord.

Let the dawn of true righteousness break over our communities, let the long-awaited season of divine refreshing fall upon our weary land, and let prosperity and safety become our new national identity, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father, deliver those who have already been attacked or abducted! Break their iron chains right now by the lightning of Your power and shatter the snare of the fowler completely!

Let Your raw mercy rip them out of the very jaws of wickedness and bring them home in safety! Have mercy, Lord!

For every family currently sitting in the ashes of grief and terror, Lord, step directly into their rooms, pour Your holy oil of joy over their agony, swallow up their sorrow, and bind up their broken hearts, in the mighty name of Jesus!”

CHURCH, PRAY! (PART 13)

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time…”  Habakkuk 2:3

Father, the ancient declarations of Your prophets are hanging over this land, and we command every authentic prophecy of greatness, revival, and leadership spoken over Nigeria to manifest now without further delay.

We completely break and reject the counterfeit identity of corruption, failure, poverty, and destruction that the enemy has tried to pin upon our chest as a nation.

We declare that righteousness shall spring out of our soil, truth shall guide our paths, peace shall guard our cities, and the beautiful, terrifying fear of the Lord shall become the foundation of our culture, in the mighty name of Jesus.

CHURCH, PRAY! (PART 14)

“The time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” Psalm 102:13

The hour of human strategy has failed, the strength of the flesh has withered, and we have reached the moment where only divinity can save us, for the set time to have radical mercy upon Nigeria has finally arrived.

Arise, O Lord God of our salvation, show Your strength before the nations of the earth, heal our fractured land, deliver our people from the throat of the predator, and let Your heavy, magnificent glory return to our sanctuaries and our streets once again, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Continue praying as the Lord leads.

Let these prayers continue daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly, as the Lord gives strength and burden.

May the Lord lay Nigeria heavily upon our hearts again. May He raise praying families, praying churches, and praying watchmen who will give Him no rest until He makes Nigeria a praise in the earth, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
