Sisters, today, we are knocking on Heaven’s Door for WISDOM AND DISCERNMENT!

Say a word of prayer to the Lord.

Say ‘Oh God, please cultivate my spirit and make it loamy enough to receive Your Word today in the Name of Jesus!’

Hearing the word “Discernment”, the first thing that comes to mind is being a good judge of what is right and what is wrong. But for Christians, it’s not as simple as that. Nowadays, the lines between what is right and wrong have long since been blurred.

This is why we need to call in extra help. And there’s really nobody else than God. In Matthew 7:7, He says “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”. That Bible verse, despite its popularity, is most often than not, ignored. Do not make the same mistake.

Any decision that you have, whether it’s for your relationship, education, or even general decisions, you should seek the answers to it. From experience, God provides the most ingenious and simplest of solutions to any problem, big or small. So seeking guidance to these issues is a simple principle that we must all learn to make a habit of.

“Do not ever forget to ask things from God. Difference between us and Him is that He has been around long before the problem and He will be available after. Move with the winning team always”.

There is practically nothing as important as walking in wisdom. This is not just Sophia (human wisdom) but the wisdom that comes from above. Several scriptures in the Bible made clear expository statements that support this fact.

The great Apostle Paul in several instances while writing the epistles prayed for the people that they will receive the Spirit and workings of wisdom for them to live their lives to the fullest. The book of Proverbs from the first to the last chapter, spoke extensively about how important it was for an individual to live wisely and to discern rightly.

In fact, one of the proofs that you really have a relationship with Jesus is that you walk in a high level of wisdom, because the Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 1:24 that Jesus is the wisdom of God therefore if He lives inside of you wisdom must be on display in your life.

Wisdom produces discernment, that is, your ability to perceive and always understand things by God’s Spirit and to judge wisely. When you have wisdom, you can understand God’s divine purpose for your life. Which is why Apostle Paul prayed for the church in Ephesus in the book of Ephesians 1: 17, that they may be filled with the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that they may know the hope of God’s calling for their lives.

The Spirit of wisdom also helps you to act in ways that pleases God. Most times we think that because we are engaging in spiritual activities it automatically means that we are pleasing God but the book of Colossians 1:9 tells us that until we are filled with knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom, we will not be able to fully please God.

Also, the Spirit of wisdom helps us to live a struggle free life because it reveals to us those great plans that God has made for our own peace. The book of 1 Cor: 2 tells us that there is a hidden wisdom that God has reserved for the glorification of His people, but this wisdom can only be revealed by God’s Spirit to us.

Even Jesus needed the Spirit of wisdom and discernment for Him to fulfil His mission on the earth. The book of Isaiah 11 tells us that a prophecy had already come before the birth of the Messiah revealing that He was going to possess different dimensions of the Spirit, one of which was the Spirit of wisdom.

The Spirit of discernment helps you to make the right judgements and decisions in the face of challenging situations. The book of 1 Corinthians 2:14 tells us that the things that the Spirit of God says to us can only be understood by those who have the Spirit of discernment, this is because the instruction that God gives always appears foolish to the ordinary man.

If you therefore want to operate in a high-level spiritual judgement and to live based on God’s will for you, then you must pray earnestly for the Spirit of wisdom and discernment. The book of James tells us that if we need wisdom, we are at liberty to ask from God, who gives to all and upbraided from none.

There are two types of world: the physical world, which is a natural world of men and the spiritual world, inhabited by spiritual beings that are supernatural and these control the affairs of the natural world of men. This means that everything evil that happens physically is manipulated by unseen evil spiritual powers, in the spiritual world. Therefore, any problem or situation in the life of men is backed up by a power (Holy Spirit or demons).

There are three types of power that can be responsible for any situation in our world today. These powers include the power of the Almighty God, which is a positive power, the power of the devil which is a negative power and the power of man which can be positive or negative.

Therefore, the spirit of discernment, which is the ability of a man to identify the power behind a situation or distinguish between good and bad, is a necessity for every child of God to profit withal. Equally important is the spirit to discern prophecy which can come from God, from the devil or from man. The prophecy from God is a prediction through the power of the Holy Spirit about the future of a thing, a place, a situation or a person.

However, there is a satanic counterfeit to the spirit of prophecy, which is known as divination. In order to distinguish between prophecy from God and satanic divination, we need the power of discernment of spirit. Every Christian has a gift of discernment inherent in him, but many have failed to develop it. Such Christians run from one false prophet to another seeking a solution to their problems. You should develop this gift by living a holy life, reading the word of God and praying to God for the gift of discernment.

SISTERS, THE SUMMARY OF ALL THIS TALKS IS, YOU NEED THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND DISCERNMENT!

OUR SPIRITUAL SENSES HAVE TO BE SHARPENED!

WE ARE WOMEN, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

SO MANY LIVES ARE DEPENDENT ON US. WE NEED THE GRACE AND THE POWER OF GOD TO BE ACTIVELY SPIRITUAL TO SAVE OURSELVES, OUR FAMILIES AND THOSE DEPENDENT ON US FROM EVIL, DANGER AND THE EVIL POWERS OF THE ENEMY.

THIS CAN BE DONE WHEN WE HAVE THE ‘OJU-INU’- DEEP INSIGHT!

WHEN YOU SEE THINGS FASTER, QUICKER AND BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE.

SISTERS, YOU NEED TO PRAY FOR THIS SPIRIT!

The perfect wisdom of our God,

WORSHIP THE NAME OF THE LORD FOR SPEAKING TO YOU.

ASK THE LORD TO SEARCH YOU AND CLEAN YOU FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS

• Heavenly Father, you said in your word, in James 1:5 that if any man lacks wisdom that he should ask of you who gives liberally to all without reproaching. Lord, I therefore acknowledge that I need the wisdom that only you can give, pour upon me your Spirit of wisdom in its fullest measure in the name of Jesus.

• Lord I ask according to the book of Ephesians 1 from verse 16, that you give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the Knowledge of you, the eyes of my heart being enlightened that I may know the hope of your calling and the riches of your glorious inheritance in the saints and the immeasurable greatness of your power towards me who believe according to the working of your great might in Jesus name.

• Heavenly Father, I don’t want to keep on making mistakes and wrong turns in life, give me the Spirit of wisdom and discernment so that I can know those hidden wisdom that has been prepared for my glory. Sweet Holy Spirit according to the book of 1cor 2, I ask that you search the mind of God and reveal these things to me in Jesus name.

• Father I ask according to the book of Colossians 1:9, I ask that you fill me with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding so that I may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him and increasing in the knowledge of God in Jesus name.

• Lord, I ask that you give unto me a discerning Spirit so that I can make the right decisions at all times, that even when your instructions seem foolish I will obey them nonetheless, knowing that they will help me live directly in the center of your will in Jesus name.

• The book of Luke 2:52 tells us that Jesus grew in wisdom and stature. Heavenly father I therefore ask that you will not just give me the Spirit of wisdom but that you will help me to grow continuously in it, so that I will not fall out of your leading in all seasons of life in Jesus name.

• Lord, your word records that God granted Daniel and the other three Hebrew boys wisdom and understanding in all skills and because of this they stood out among all their peers, I therefore ask that you grant me this same spirit so that I can stand out in every sphere of life that I find myself in Jesus name.

• Scripture tells us that among the people of Israel, there was a tribe who were able to discern times and to know what the children of Israel ought to do. Lord, I ask that now and at all times, you will help me to discern times and to know exactly what I ought to do in Jesus name.

• Your word says in Proverbs that with wisdom comes long life. Father fill me with your Spirit of wisdom so that I can live long to fulfil your mandate on the earth in Jesus name.

• Lord I pray for every member of the body of Christ that you will pour upon them also the Spirit of wisdom so that they will know you heart for them and they will walk in the centre of your will in Jesus name.

• Father, I thank you for your unconditional love upon my life in Jesus Christ name

• Father, I ask that your mercy prevail over judgement in my life today in Jesus Christ name

• Father, endue me with the Spirit of discernment now in the name of Jesus Christ.

• Father, open my spiritual eyes to see what my physical eyes cannot see in the name of Jesus Christ.

• Father, by the direction of the Holy Spirit, order my steps as I walk through the Journey of life Jesus Christ name

• Father open my eyes to perceive evil before it overwhelms me in the name of Jesus Christ.

• I declare today that my days of confusion are over in the name of Jesus Christ

• Thank you Father for baptizing me with the Spirit of Discernment Jesus Christ name

O Lord, please teach me how to respond to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Let me be prayerful and sensitive, so that I can understand every instruction that the Spirit offers. Make me a sensitive servant that listens to the voice of the Holy Spirit, and make me an obedient servant that yields to his instructions. Let my obedience benefit your kingdom. Let me never regret serving you, but help me to prosper in this life, and in heaven also. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

Dear God, please guide my steps not to seek counsels from ungodly people. Assist me to seek godly counselors who may guide me into making right decisions. Help me to prayerfully consider any counsel before I take an action. Do not let me rush into judgment and regret afterward. Rather, let your Holy Spirit counsel, comfort, and empower me to appropriately make decisions that will result in positive benefits. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

Father, please guide my footsteps so that I do not sin against you. Do not let me sin against you, so that Satan will not have an advantage over me. Empower me through your Holy Spirit to obey all your commandments, and help me to faithfully serve you so that I can prosper throughout the days of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen!

Proverbs 15:1-2
Heavenly Father, Your Word says that foolishness brings joy to those with no sense; whereas a sensible person stays on the right path. I pray that I do not indulge in reckless decision-making when I need to be decisive. Lord, I also pray that I seek You always so that the plans that You have for my life may be successful. Father, help me become sensitive to Your Holy Spirit so that I can be wise and aligned to Your will, Amen.

Philippians 1:9-10
Oh Lord, I pray that I keep growing in knowledge and understanding so that I can recognize and treasure what is excellent. I pray that You continue to reveal to me what really matters, so that I live a pure and blameless life until Your return. I pray that I am not stagnant in my knowledge of You, instead let the revelations be endless, let the discernment occur daily and let my mind and soul be completely aligned to You, Amen.

Hosea 14:9
Righteous God help me to remain spiritually wise. I thank You for the ability to discern and listen carefully to Your Spirit. Lord, I know that Your paths are true and right. I also know that my righteousness comes from walking in them. I pray that I will never stray from Your path and that I will never become a sinner who stumbles and falls. I thank You for giving me insight that can help me in my daily living, Amen.

2 Samuel 14:17
Dear Lord, just as You told Samuel to not look at the appearance or height of a man’s stature, I pray that I too look not on outward appearances. God You do not see how man sees but You look at the heart. I pray that I too look at life on a deeper level and understand that there is more than what meets the eye. I pray that when making decisions I approach them with spiritual wisdom and sensitivity, Amen.

Matthew 6:10
Righteous God, I declare that Your Kingdom come, and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I pray heavenly Father that when it comes to making decisions I am in line with Your will. Let every decision I make be approved by You in heaven first. I pray that You govern my steps and direct my paths at all times. Thank You for Your divine guidance and correction in my life, Amen.

Dear Savior, I am lacking wisdom right now as I do not know what path will lead me to what You have intended for my life. I pray that You will reveal to me the things that will help me live a successful and fruitful future. I thank You in advance because You give generously and graciously to all who seek You. Have Your divine way in my life, in Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

2 Chronicles 1:10-11
Heavenly Father, like Solomon, I pray for Your divine wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Lord, I know that it is because of You that I can make the right decisions in line with Your will and purpose. So, Father, I ask for the Spirit of discernment to enable me to make sound decisions that will guide me in standing for truth and righteousness. Father, this is the prayer of my heart; in Jesus Name, Amen.

I will not be insensitive to the Spirit of God in the Name of Jesus!

From today, I begin to see!

I am a saviour to my family and friends!

Through God’s revelation, so many holes, pits and traps will be avoided by my family and friends in the Name of Jesus!

Open my eyes O Lord to behold Your glory, in the name of Jesus.

Arrows that fly by day and terror of the night, backfire, in the name of Jesus.

I shall behold and see the reward of the wicked, in the name of Jesus.
