DAY 21: CARVING OUT A BOUNTIFUL HARVEST
SCRIPTURE READING: PSALM 65:9-13
BIBLE READING: I CORINTHIANS 13
Three weeks gone!!
Like a pregnant woman, we have been travailing in prayers for the past three weeks. It’s Day 21, fam! Wow, thank You Jesus!
I hope you have been praying indeed. Have you been carving that paradise you desire for yourself out in prayers?
I believe we know that no price is too much to pay for designing and receiving the destiny we desire for ourselves. Just as the Scriptures say in Philippians 2:13 that God is the One at work in us, giving us the desire/will and the ability to do what is His pleasure.
Believe me when I say God is the one at work in us in this season and what we are doing is His good pleasure.
If you are weary, ask for His strength…
Say to yourself that ‘I am carving out my destiny and preparing myself for a bountiful harvest!!!’
Amen!
Before we move on, sing some songs of adoration unto the Lord this moment, adore him for His works in your life.
Sing of His love for you, and the beauty and glory that He has bestowed to you.
Amen!
The topic today says ‘Carved Out for a Bountiful Harvest’ and believe me, that is God’s intention for your life and mine.
No matter how much effort one puts into achieving much, increase does not come unless God gives it!
Your strength is not always sufficient for your desired blessings, but God often supports such, when you are on His side.
And when we understand that the blessings we have are not a result of our efforts, we become humble and this will make us achieve more.
Look at the following Bible verses:
Psalm 65:9,11 say: “The rivers of God will not run dry; they provide a bountiful harvest of grain, for You have ordered it so…You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.”
God is the One who orders a bountiful harvest.
God ordained that your life should be cared for, that you be enriched abundantly, that your sustenance be met personally by God.
Ordained means- ordered, commanded, decided- that it be in advance!
Do you see what God sees of you?
Sure, we have to do our part when involved in ministry, but our strategies are not the driving strength. Without His crowning our efforts with fruitfulness, we labor in vain.
“Even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.”
Wow! This means that even the most difficult places of our lives/marriages/ministry/academy can bear fruit when God orders it.
I’m not talking about a few scraggly branches with beans buds. No. I’m talking about a harvest that overflows – branches bending low and nearly breaking with spiritual, physical, ministerial, financial, academic fruits.
You’d see lives changed for eternity, broken people healed, those in despair finding fresh hope.
What are the hard paths of your life? No matter how hard, you’d see God’s hand in everything!!!
Maybe it’s talking about God to a teen who seems hell-bent on doing life his own way.
Maybe it’s an ugly and unwanted marriage problem.
Maybe it’s a difficult personal relationship.
Perhaps it’s working, working, working in God’s vineyard without achieving noticeable results.
The pathway seems hard, the soil too dense to allow a seed to enter and take root, let alone grow.
And yet there’s hope because God says those hard pathways will overflow with abundance.
Did you hear that?
There is hope for you, sister!
Psalm 65:10 also says:
You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops.
Many times, we have so many things prepared. We have been waiting, and longing; necessary things have been made available, only for the rain to come, for the showers to come, still nothing!
We know that we need that rain for progress to occur in our lives but that is not God’s intent. His intent is for you to be showered so you can grow, so that all you have planned BASED ON HIS WORKINGS in you grows.
God softens hardened lives. Lives that have been hardened by hardships, sorrows, failure, lives that have developed clumps that prevent meaning from coming forth of them. Growth cannot happen where clumps are. God blesses what grows within people He is at work in.
Psalm 65:11 (NLT) You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.
God always prepares a crowning for each year. It is not a crown of thorns but one of a bountiful harvest such that even in hard times and seasons tagged with hardship, there is an overflowing with abundance.
KJV says the paths drop fatness!
Hmmmm, our God doesn’t do it one time; it is a yearly affair for Him.
Psalm 65:12 (NIRV) The grass grows thick even in the desert. The hills are dressed with gladness.
Where there is barrenness, God causes fertility.
That verse says in the desert- a place of no water, no rain, no loamy soil- plenty and abundance of sand, thick grass grows there!!!!
Other versions say lush pasture.
Remember Psalm 23, the place called green pastures. God causes an overflowing of gladness, an abundance of joy in places that have been considered hopeless.
Psalm 65:13 (GNT) The fields are covered with sheep; the valleys are full of wheat. Everything shouts and sings for joy.
This is what God does, that you and everything about you sing for joy. You being blessed in the fields and being blessed in the valley is what God intends for you- what He has ordained.
This is what God does and what He has said concerning you.

This is what God promised His people in
Ezekiel 34:26-27
Ezekiel 34:26 (BBE) And I will give the rain at the right time, and I will make the shower come down at the right time; there will be showers of blessing.
Ezekiel 34:27 (GNT) The trees will bear fruit, the fields will produce crops, and everyone will live in safety on his own land. When I break my people’s chains and set them free from those who made them slaves, then they will know that I am the Lord.
It is the Word of God. He promises showers of blessings. These blessings crown the year with a bountiful harvest.
God has promised to break chains, set free so that people may know that He is the Lord!

I don’t know what has been stirred in you by means of these verses, Scriptures, words and songs. But I do know that there is a need in your life, a void that only the Lord can fill, a longing that only the Lord can satisfy, answers that only the Lord can give, sorrows that only the Lord can turn to Joy, discouragements that only the Lord can turn to upliftment. Take it to the Lord right this moment.
Ask that this year 2021 be crowned for you with His abundance
Ask that there be showers of blessings upon you
Ask that the Lord fulfil His word concerning you
Ask that you receive that which God has ordained concerning you, that your life be a watered land
Pray that your ploughed land be drenched with water, that your clumped soil be level, that your land be softened with rain
Commit all of you unto His hands and ask that He bless all that is in you.
If you feel you are in a dessert area and all seem barren, pray for lush pastures, green fields
Pray that God will let everything about you and around you sing for joy
Pray the words of God in Ezekiel 34:26-27. Emphasis on God’s promise to send rain and in due time. That there be showers of blessing. Pray that your trees planted by God become fruitful, that your fields produce crops, that your chains that hold you bound be broken and you be set free from oppressors
Pray that God will show up in your life as Lord!
Pray that God will make good His words, His promises in your life
Declare that this year 2021 is your year of bountiful harvest
Say this like you mean it:
‘I AM CARVED OUT FOR A BOUNTIFUL HARVEST’
PRAY TILL YOUR JOY IS FULL
Begin to thank God for His faithfulness, His love, His ever-faithful words and promises.
Appreciate Him for being God in your life and your situation.
