TOPIC: TACKLING THE SPIRIT OF ERROR!

TEXT: 2 CHRONICLES 26:14-21; I SAMUEL 13:1-14

Welcome to the 19^th Day of the Juicy July 2022 Prayer Programme. I trust the Lord that you are ready to be blessed again today. Amen! Halleluyah!

 

I pray that as you go through this bulletin, the Lord will open your eyes to see the depths He wants you to see, remove you from the way of errors and destructions and place you on the right path of light again in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Halleluyah!

 

As you have sang, so shall it be today in the mighty Name of Jesus.

 

Every spirit of error targeted at your glory, at your rising, at your marriage, at your business and all that concerns you shall be destroyed today in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

 

So, yeah, the spirit of error!

 

What is this?

 

Well, the spirit of error is basically ordained by the devil to stop the glory of Zion!

 

There is a glory that Zion should manifest but the spirit of error will say ‘No, she (Zion) is not going to shout’, contrary to what is in Psalm 102:16.

 

It is your glory, that one that will reflect the Power of God, that the spirit of error is constantly fighting against!

 

The Devil can use any means to introduce error into a person. He can use:

• Family pressure,
• Peer pressure,
• Environmental pressure,
• Financial pressure,
• Health pressure,
• Satanic manipulations or satanic bondages.

 

No matter who or what he uses, all he is looking for is the downfall of the person and the ‘glorious shame’ the person would land in- all so that the Name of the Lord will not be glorified in the person!

 

King Saul was divinely chosen as the first king to rule over the children of Israel. However, he made the greatest mistake of his life when he stepped into the office of the priest and offered the sacrifice which Prophet Samuel ought to offer. That day, he lost his throne.

 

Let us check it in I Sam. 13:8-14

 

8. He waited seven days, the time set by Samuel; but Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and Saul’s men began to scatter.

 

9. So he said, “Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings.” And Saul offered up the burnt offering.

 

10 Just as he finished making the offering, Samuel arrived, and Saul went out to greet him.

 

11 “What have you done?” asked Samuel. Saul replied, “When I saw that the men were scattering, and that you did not come at the set time, and that the Philistines were assembling at Mikmash,

 

12 I thought, ‘Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not sought the Lord’s favour.’ So, I felt compelled to offer the burnt offering.”

 

13 “You have done a foolish thing,” Samuel said. “You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time.

 

14 But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”

 

Error makes you do foolish things!

 

Error would make you do things that people would be wowed at and say ‘Even a two-year-old knows better, what is this? How foolish you are!’

 

Ah!!!

 

Error makes you hurry!

 

It makes your desperate!

 

It makes you impatient!

 

It makes you doubt the Lord!

 

It makes you not to love or depend on the Lord God!

 

And it makes you lose out!

 

It is such an evil spirit! And a very common but subtle weapon the devil uses against many believers today!

 

You make a simple mistake and to correct it, you make three more mistakes! Then the situation becomes so worst! That is the spirit of error!

 

Many have lost their jobs, position and prestige because of actions they mistakenly took.

 

Abraham in error went to Egypt and took Hagar who gave birth to Ishmael, and from him we have Islam and terrorism today. It was a terrible blunder. Only if he had not relocated!

 

Many marriages are lost today because of relocation! Many are getting married to the wrong people because they have the hope of relocating!

 

The devil for instance is using the terrible situation of Nigeria to chase so many people away from God’s glory! So many are running from lack in Nigeria but would meet with worst situations where they are running to.

 

And on the other hand, God is telling some people to travel abroad to succeed, so they won’t die- just like Jacob and his family had to travel to Egypt because God had strategically put Joseph in a place of authority to secure Israel for a long time.

 

If the spirit of error had entered into them, they’d have died of hunger. But if they had moved to Egypt without hearing the Lord, worst things would have happened to them in Egypt.

 

In 1Kings 22, there was a meeting between Ahab, Jehoshaphat, and some prophets. They wanted to know if the Lord would permit them to go battle against Ramothgilead.

 

Let me show you:

 

1Kings 22:1-9:

 

1. For three years there was no war between Aram and Israel.

 

2. But in the third year Jehoshaphat king of Judah went down to see the king of Israel.

 

3. The king of Israel had said to his officials, “Don’t you know that Ramothgilead belongs to us and yet we are doing nothing to retake it from the king of Aram?”

 

4. So, he asked Jehoshaphat, “Will you go with me to fight against Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel, “I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

 

5. But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, “First seek the counsel of the LORD.”

 

6. So, the king of Israel brought together the prophets–about four hundred men–and asked them, “Shall I go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I refrain?” “Go,” they answered, “for the Lord will give it into the king’s hand.”

 

7. But Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there not a prophet of the LORD here whom we can inquire of?”

 

8. The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat, “There is still one man through whom we can inquire of the LORD, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah.” “The king should not say that,” Jehoshaphat replied.

 

9. So the king of Israel called one of his officials and said, “Bring Micaiah son of Imlah at once.”

 

Can you see the spirit of error clearly?

 

Problem was seated so quietly on its own but someone who didn’t have any relationship with God, who had no fire to sustain himself decided he wanted to touch the problem!

 

Did God tell you, Ahab that it was time to go get Ramothgilead? What is your problem?

 

And the only man that could have helped him, he hated with so much passion!

 

The 400 lying prophets told him ‘Oh how good you are. You will succeed if you go. Just go’

 

The spirit of error entered into their tongues to push Ahab to his death! But the one single reasonable one in whom the spirit of the Lord dwelt; Ahab just didn’t want to see him! He was irritated by him!

 

Let’s see it again. It is an interesting one. From verse 13 this time:

 

13. The messenger who had gone to summon Micaiah said to him, “Look, the other prophets without exception are predicting success for the king. Let your word agree with theirs, and speak favourably.”

 

14. But Micaiah said, “As surely as the Lord lives, I can tell him only what the Lord tells me.”

 

15. When he arrived, the king asked him, “Micaiah, shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or not?” “Attack and be victorious,” he answered, “for the Lord will give it into the king’s hand.”

 

16. The king said to him, “How many times must I make you swear to tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?”

 

17 Then Micaiah answered, “I saw all Israel scattered on the hills like sheep without a shepherd, and the Lord said, ‘These people have no master. Let each one go home in peace.’”

 

18 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Didn’t I tell you that he never prophesies anything good about me, but only bad?”

 

19 Micaiah continued, “Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne with all the multitudes of heaven standing around him on his right and on his left.

 

20 And the Lord said, ‘Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?’ “One suggested this, and another that.

 

21 Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the Lord and said, ‘I will entice him.’

 

22 “‘By what means?’ the Lord asked. “‘I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said. “‘You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the Lord. ‘Go and do it.’

 

23 “So now the Lord has put a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours. The Lord has decreed disaster for you.”

 

24 Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah went up and slapped Micaiah in the face. “Which way did the spirit from the Lord go when he went from me to speak to you?” he asked.

 

25. Micaiah replied, “You will find out on the day you go to hide in an inner room.”

 

26 The king of Israel then ordered, “Take Micaiah and send him back to Amon the ruler of the city and to Joash the king’s son

 

27 and say, ‘This is what the king says: Put this fellow in prison and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely.’”

 

28 Micaiah declared, “If you ever return safely, the Lord has not spoken through me.” Then he added, “Mark my words, all you people!”

 

Can you imagine!

 

Ahab was such a sinful person! He never loved the Lord, nor did he give attention to his instructions. He even led Israel to sin! It was easy for the Lord to permit the lying spirits- the spirit of error to go into 400 prophets just to cause him to miss it!

 

Every lying spirit that has been employed against your life shall meet their waterloo today in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

 

Whatever you might have done against the Lord God of Host that can make Him permit lying spirits to operate in your life, may the mercy of the Lord wipe those things off now in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

 

And can you see why you need to know the Lord for yourself and stop relying on prophet this and that?

 

Lying spirits from your father’s house can rest on anybody to push you on, encourage you, prophesy for you in the Name of the Lord. You would think you are on the right track, not knowing they are only pushing you to the well dug grave they’ve made for you!

 

Well, Ahab never came back from that battle!

 

May you never enter by error into a situationship of no return in the mighty Name of Jesus!

 

Any ship of error which you are inside right now, conveying you to a destination of regrets, damnation and death, I ask that the Holy Spirit rescue you from it now in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

 

And Jehoshaphat would have been wiped off by this spirit too because, why was he even in a relationship with Ahab in the first place? But the Lord had mercy on him! He was spared!

 

May you not be in partnership with someone who is on his/her way to doom and destruction in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

 

In our Bible passage in 2 Chron. 26:14-21, we see a man who was a great king in Israel being prone to the spirit of error. Let’s see the story:

 

14 Uzziah provided shields, spears, helmets, coats of armor, bows and slingstones for the entire army.

 

15 In Jerusalem he made devices invented for use on the towers and on the corner defences so that soldiers could shoot arrows and hurl large stones from the walls. His fame spread far and wide, for he was greatly helped until he became powerful.

 

16 But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.

 

17 Azariah the priest with eighty other courageous priests of the Lord followed him in.

 

18 They confronted King Uzziah and said, “It is not right for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord. That is for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who have been consecrated to burn incense. Leave the sanctuary, for you have been unfaithful; and you will not be honoured by the Lord God.”

 

19 Uzziah, who had a censer in his hand ready to burn incense, became angry. While he was raging at the priests in their presence before the incense altar in the Lord’s temple, leprosy[a] broke out on his forehead.

 

20 When Azariah the chief priest and all the other priests looked at him, they saw that he had leprosy on his forehead, so they hurried him out. Indeed, he himself was eager to leave, because the Lord had afflicted him.

 

21 King Uzziah had leprosy until the day he died. He lived in a separate house—leprous, and banned from the temple of the Lord. Jotham his son had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land.

 

Did you see so clearly this spirit of error in Uzziah?

 

Yorubas will call it ‘Emi sise sise’

 

This spirit pushes one into the pit!

 

It makes you chase all the good people away from your life!

 

It makes you friendly with your enemies and put you at enmity with your friends!

 

It makes you blind to realities which even blind people can see!

 

It makes you trust yourself so much and until you have destroyed yourself, you won’t wake up!

 

It makes you believe a lie!

 

It makes you blind to and disregard your helpers!

 

It makes you offend and hate the people that God has placed on your way!

 

It makes you detest and insult the man that the Lord has purposed for you in marriage!

 

It makes you get angry at those who loving correct you!

 

It makes you heap great judgment of the Lord upon yourself!

 

It makes you offend people who would place curses on you!

 

It makes you lose out in so many areas of life!

 

It opens you to cheating!

 

It makes you very stubborn and unteachable!

 

It makes you hate advice and counsels with passion.

 

And so on!

 

This spirit is such a bad one and shouldn’t be condoned at all!

 

 

And what is its main aim?

 

• to put you in perpetual bondage,

 

• to inflict regretful afflictions,

 

• to stop you from reaching and fulfilling divine agenda for your life

 

• to make you feel you are not capable of doing things due to your past experience of errors and mistakes

 

• to destroy.

 

 

 

Just look at Uzziah!

 

This was a king that started very well; very intelligent and creative. He was the first in Israel to construct machines for wars, and he introduced at that time mechanised farming with good irrigation system.

 

When the spirit of error got hold of him, his heart was lifted up to his destruction.

 

And that is what pride does in a man! You will never be able to learn from those you should learn from!

 

Overfamiliarity will make you look down on those who the Lord has planted on your way to rescue you!

 

Your parents and spiritual siblings’ advice would be so smelly to you, you would just want them to shut up!

 

Everyone around you might be warning you of imminent danger but you will shut them down and tell them to go to hell because of some deep concoctions the lying spirits and spirit of error have cooked up as dreams and revelations for you!

 

Uzziah made the greatest mistake of his life when he stepped into the office of the priest to burn the incense on the altar, which Azariah the priest ought to do.

 

Even when he was corrected by the priest, he refused to heed the priest’s appeal.

 

Eventually, he became leprous instantly and lost his kingship. He became a leper until his death, and was ostracised from the society. His son took over the throne.

 

I decree today that every error that will be costly to you in the future, may God make it far from you in Jesus name.

 

Let’s also check Leviticus 10:1-2:

10 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not.

 

2 And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.

 

Nadab and Abihu did not know that burning a strange fire in the name of doing God’s work will terminate their lives, though they were Aaron’s children. They lost their lives forever!

 

Error and mistakes can lead to destruction, frustration, rejection, accident and calamity.

 

The way a lot of people behave and act clearly shows that they have been particularly programme for mistakes by the enemy.

 

May the arrow of deception the devil has fired into your heart be removed by fire and broken to pieces in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

 

Dear sisters, to allow error to continue is to submit your authority to Satan!

 

Many have lost their jobs, lives, relationships, integrity and even position because of the spirit of error.

 

Spirits of error set marks on men so that anywhere they go, there is a recurrence of every evil experience.

 

Why is it that you uttered that statement at that moment when that statement was not needed?

 

Why is it that it was the one sent to help you that you decided to pick offence with?

 

That wonderful relationship you once had, why did it break down irreconcilably?

 

Was it truly your church who offended you or it is the spirit of error in action?

 

Think of it, why are you regretting that action of yours?

 

Why are you planning to leave that job, that accommodation, that church, that friend, that wife or that husband? Your parents experienced divorce and the same trend is bedevilling your marriage now? Have you considered it in prayer by confronting rather the spirit of error?

 

Spirits of error can spread lies through spiritual media only so that as soon as the affected party gets to know, then she will be mistakenly moved to take a wrong step!

 

Is everyone pleading with you over your decision and your mind remains adamant? Very likely, the spirit of error is attacking that mind.

 

Ah! what great disaster this wicked spirit has caused in the lives of many innocent people. This is therefore the moment of serious cry to heaven, sisters!

From the bloodthirsty save me.

Even now they lie in wait for my life;

For the cursing and the lies that they speak,
Consume them in wrath; until they are no more.
Then it will be known to the whole earth
That God rules over Jacob.

Each evening they come back,

And prowling about the city.

They roam about for food,
And growl if they do not get their fill.
But I will sing of your might;
I’ll sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you’re a fortress for me
A refuge on the day of my distress.

O my strength, I will sing

For O God, are my fortress,
The God who shows me steadfast love.

 

 

SHALL WE PRAY, SISTERS?

 

Enough is enough of the harassment of this spirit in our lives!

 

Enough of pushing good people away from ourselves because of our smelly attitudes!

 

Enough of losing out on great opportunities and counsels because of our hard-heartedness!

 

Enough is enough of allow the spirit of error operate for such a long time!

 

No more!

 

And for those errors that are still looming, waiting on the way of my life to jump at me and pull me down, you lie!

 

I overcome you today by the power of the Holy Spirit!

 

SO, SHALL WE PRAY?

Can you have a moment of concentrated worship for a few minutes, please? Thank the Lord for this great revelation! Thank the Lord for His interest in your life to even reveal this to you! Worship the Name of the Lord for He has the power to deliver you and have mercy on you.

 

Confess the sins of the past that might have pushed you on the path of error. Ask the Lord to forgive and mercy on you. (That pride, lack of teachability, rejection of counsel, fighting the people who genuinely care- all those sins that might have brought or is bring error upon your life)

 

WHEN YOU ARE FREE IN YOUR SPIRIT TO GO ON, THEN, GO ON!

 

NOW PRAY!

 

Every arrow of errors and mistakes fired against my life to cut short my glory, backfire NOW in the name of Jesus!

 

I crush down by fire, every evil power that has vowed to destroy my progress with errors and mistakes in the name of Jesus.

 

Every arrow of shame and reproach that has entered into my life as a result of errors I have made, jump out now and be broken to pieces in the name of Jesus.

 

You power of flesh over my life, crumble by fire in the name of Jesus! (7x)

 

I disconnect myself from every man or woman that will make me fall into errors and mistakes in the name of Jesus.

 

I receive the mind of Christ to remain under the guidance of God in the name of Jesus.

 

My father, clothe me with the garment of discernment in the name of Jesus. (Pray fervently)

 

Lord Jesus, let every errors and mistakes in my life, turn to stepping stone for my greatness in the name of Jesus.

 

I bind and cast out the spirit of error and mistakes against my career/marriage/finances/friendship etc in the name of Jesus.

 

I receive the grace to be teachable and seek wisdom in the name of Jesus. (7x)

 

Every inherited spirit of errors and mistakes in my life, I cast you out of me now by fire in the name of Jesus.

 

I declare in the name of Jesus, that the spirit of error and mistakes will not have dominion over me in the name of Jesus.

 

In my actions and words, I will not commit mistakes and errors henceforth in the name of Jesus.

 

Oh, my glory!! I command you to arise and shine against all odds in the Mighty name of Jesus!

 

I escape from every trap of the enemies against my life in the name of Jesus.

 

Father make me error-proof in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

 

King Saul made mistakes that destroyed his throne, and his life. Esau made mistake that took away his fatherly blessings. I shall escape every attack of error and mistake in my life in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

 

Oh Lord, take away from my life the sufferings that came as a result of past errors in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

 

I shall not commit blunder again in Jesus name. (14x)

 

Let every error of the mind that always results in wrong judgment be wiped out of my life by the blood of Jesus.

 

In all my steps in life, Lord help me to always take the right decisions at the right time in Jesus name.

 

I bind the spirit of error at the point of successful completion of projects in Jesus name. Be burnt by fire in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

 

In my speech and action, I shall be watchful and thereby overcome the plan of the wicked who are looking for my downfall in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

 

Whatever error and mistake that have led to the present suffering or problem in my life be wiped out and destroyed in Jesus name.

 

I commission God’s fire, the word of God and the blood of the lamb to destroy the foundation of error in my life.

 

You foul spirits of error and mistakes, whether acquired, inherited, ancestral, environmental or accidental, be uprooted by fire from my life and glory right now in Jesus mighty name. (Pray fervently)

 

I receive a permanent deliverance from every mental oppression, confusion and stupidity in Jesus mighty name.

 

I refuse to be a fool and a dullard, abused, rebuked and sanctioned all the time because of unstoppable errors. From now on, excellence and perfection are my trademarks in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

 

Father, I thank you for you are able to keep me from falling through mistakes and error. Glory be to your name for ever and ever Amen.

 

The miracle of ‘How did it happen?’, my life is available, appear NOW in the name of Jesus!

 

Oh God arise and repair my life in the name of Jesus! (14x)

 

Powers oppressing my glory, right now, die in the name of Jesus! (21x)

 

Every good thing that I have lost to errors, I recover you now in the name of Jesus! (Pray fervently. Recover as many as the Holy Spirit places on your mind back. The friendship, the mentorship, the membership, the truth, the respect, the glory and honour, everything!)

 

Every stronghold of wrong thoughts that is making me to commit blunders, in the name of Jesus, scatter by fire!

 

Continue to pray as the Holy Spirit leads you.

 

Raise your prayer journal to the Lord and talk to God about all the requests therein.
