Year of Glory

Year of Glory: Your Prophetic Song for the New Year

Every new year, every new season, every new level, and every new status you desire to enter into is a gate. Scripture teaches us that God orders life by times and seasons, and He expects His people to discern them. “To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

If the Lord ever opens your eyes like He did for the men of Issachar, you will understand this deeply. They were men “who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do” (1 Chronicles 12:32). They did not move blindly. They recognized seasons and responded with wisdom.

You do not step into a new season unprepared, empty-handed, or unaware. In Scripture, gates respond to recognition, alignment and declaration. “Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in” (Psalm 24:7). Gates open when the King of glory is acknowledged, when declarations are made, when commands are issued! Ayaaaa, sis!

In a few hours, we step into the Gate of 2026. And even within 2026 itself, there will be many gates. Gates of months, gates of decisions, gates of transitions, gates of assignments. Jesus rebuked the people of His day because they could read the weather but failed to discern spiritual seasons. “You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time?” (Luke 12:56).

ECHOES OF TRUTH

We refuse to be like them. We have been activated to enter strong!

YEAR OF GLORY

Year of Glory by Dynamite Films Africa

“You shall decree a thing, and it shall be established for you.” Job 22:28

Scripture tells us that God places His Word in our mouths so that we may speak it. “I have put My words in your mouth, and covered you with the shadow of My hand” (Isaiah 51:16).

Year of Glory is God’s Word being sung back to Him. It is prophetic. Like Mary, we are meant to “keep these things and ponder them in our hearts” (Luke 2:19).

This is the kind of word you return to again and again. You repeat it in prayer. You pray it in the Spirit. You prophesy it into your own ears. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). Sometimes the first ears that must hear are your own.

You stand at the gate and you speak. You do not cross silent. You do not cross empty. “You shall declare a thing, and it shall be established for you” (Job 22:28).

And the amazingly glorious thing I realized, (never planned as I wrote the song) was that it fits! Whether you are crossing into a new year, a birthday, a marriage, a new assignment, or a new phase of life, the song fits. In this kingdom, sis, words are currency. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21).

God Himself watches over His Word to perform it. “I am watching over My word to perform it” (Jeremiah 1:12). He acts when He sees His Word spoken in faith. “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void” (Isaiah 55:11).

Year of Glory – Lyrics

[Intro]

[Chorus]
This is my year of glory
A year of glory
The glory of this year
Surpasses all my years

This is my year of glory
A year of glory
The glory that fills this year
Outshines all former days
Yes it does

[Verse 1]
I stand at the gate of the year
Oh year hear me
I have not come empty
I come with Heaven’s words
The God who crowned my past
Now goes before my future

Every burden bows
Every shadow lifts
Every closed door
Answers to His name
I am not guessing this
I am declaring
This year responds to the glory of God

[Chorus]
This is my year of glory
A year of glory
The glory of this year
Surpasses all my years

This is my year of glory
A year of glory
The glory that fills this year
Outshines all former days

[Verse 2]
Glory in my rising
Glory in my going
Glory in my labor
Glory in my rest
The oil on this season
Will not run dry
The hand of the Lord
Rests mightily upon me

What eyes have not seen
What ears have not heard
Now breaks forth in light
Now begins to speak
I go from strength to strength
I travel from grace to grace
This year carries the fullness of God

[Chorus]
This is my year of glory
A year of glory
The glory of this year
Surpasses all my years

This is my year of glory
A year of glory
The glory that fills this year
Outshines all former days

[Verse 3]
This year I walk closely with God
He leads me and I follow
I take my roots downward in truth
I bear much fruit upward in grace
My spirit grows deeper each day
And stronger every new dawn

The Spirit of God breaks through in me
He finds room
He finds voice
He finds form

I take my ground
I rule in life
I uproot and I plant
By His hand

[Bridge]
I command the morning
I speak to the nights
Align with the will
Of the Ancient of Days

Let favor surround me
Let wisdom break open
Let every step be ordered
By the Spirit of Christ

I decree abundance
I decree His peace
I decree His presence
In all that concerns me

[Final Chorus]
This is my year of glory
A year of glory
The glory of this year
Surpasses all my years

This is my year of glory
A year of glory
The glory that fills this year
Outshines all former days

[Outro]
