On June 17, 1992, Tomi was born to two after 10 years of waiting on God.
Joy filled the household of Mr and Mrs Williams as they held their bundle of joy and gave thanks to God while dancing in church the Sunday after she was born.
God blessed the family with another set of twins two years later and their joy knew no bounds!
Tomi had a very great upbringing. Her parents neither pampered her nor were strict with her.
They made sure all their children went to church and also never missed Sunday school for any reason. They taught their children the how to pray and also instructed them on how to fast.
They did this separately though. Mr and Mrs. Williams were strangers living under the same roof. They do devotions, eat together but there was a thick looming silence everytime in the house.
Despite carrying Bibles under his armpit everytime, sometimes Mr. Williams will pounce on his wife and beat her blue black.
Mrs. Williams would curse, insult, throw things at her husband and swear in return.
Tomi wondered why they taught her about God then when it was not evident in their lives.
That was exactly how her paternal grandfather treated his wife!
And her maternal grandmother was not helpful to her husband! They always fought.
Tomi prayed everyday that she would get married to a genuine man of God who truly feared God, so she wouldn’t have that kind of lifestyle.
She also made up her mind to study hard and become successful. She thought maybe her dad was that harsh to her mum because she was not educated.
Tomi eventually bagged two degrees, two Master’s and two doctorate degrees! When she went for her Post-doc in Malaysia, she met this man she believed was her husband – Dan.
He was very quiet, soft-spoken, intelligent and very godfearing!
She was sure that no evil would come into her own home as she’s got it right maritally.
Five months into their marriage however, Dan beat her to stupor for talking back at her when he was correcting her.
Her three month old pregnancy was forced out because she fell over a mortar as she was running away, trying to save herself.
She fainted always immediately and neighbours ran inside to see what had happened to ‘iyawo’. They had the quiet husband who was crying so profusely at the sight of his bleeding wife arrested almost immediately.

On the hospital bed, with tears rolling down her face, she wondered what she’d done wrong that made so much mishap to fall on her.
Dan was beside her in handcuffs, a policeman behind him. He was weeping so profusely.
‘I don’t know what came over me, honey. I have never fought in my life, never. Oh Lord!’ He wept.
His dad rushed in and fell on his son.
‘Danny!!! Ah, Danny! What have you done?’ The old man cried as he hugged his son.
‘I told you marriage is not for us in our lineage. Why did you marry? Now, see!’ He cried the more.
‘How can you escape this jail term? And prison life is horrible! Ah, son, ah! You should have learnt from me and your grandfather. Edi di o, ah! (You’ve been spelled)”
Papa had also hit his wife, Dan’s mum’s head to the wall in a fit of anger. She died as a result of the damage to her brain. She was pregnant for Dan’s youngest brother when it happened. The baby couldn’t survive it! He was jailed for ten years.
A similar thing happened to papa’s father but the wife survived it and ran away. He married thirty women but each of them ran from him because he’d beat them to stupor whenever he was angry over any little thing!

Right???
I have heard of several people, whose family curses were passed down their lineage. Believe it or not, ancestral and generational curses exists. Many people have tried all they could to become relevant, to be good and successful, some would even go to the extent of killing themselves; thinking that’s the only solution to their problems.
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds wink casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God; and bringing into captivity every though to the obedience of Christ;
You cannot do it all alone, not by the works of your hand, not by your self righteousness. Not by visiting priests, prophets and pastors by laying on of hands, it is not by going to river to bath away your curses. No! It is through God. Through God in prayers.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:11
You need to understand that, your problems are not carnal, and since it is not carnal you cannot fight against it using carnal means.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all stand Ephesians 6:12
As believers our amour is Prayer and the word of God (herein the breastplate of righteousness). Prayer is one of the ways we release the will of God upon the earth. The will of God, for you to prosper, to have promotion, to be successful, to be financially liberated, sound health and so on. This is why prayer and the Word must be combined.
It is also important that we pray with understanding (1 Cor 14:15). Understanding the will of God will help you pray correctly. The word of God is the will of God; which says that you will prosper, blessing the works of your hands, blessing the cattle of your field, the fruit of your ground and that wherever the sole of your feet shall thread He will give unto you.
Why then are you still not liberated?
Why then are you addicted?
Why then do you still live in poverty?
Why then do you work and work and still not have ends meet?
Why then are you sickly always?
Why then are you always met with disappointments?
Curses!
Curses? What then is the way out?
PRAYER!
You need to know how to pray and pray through. There is a big difference between praying and praying through. I am not going to dwell so much on this, but if truly you want to be liberated from generational curses, you need to know the right prayers to pray.
Before we go on,
What then happened to Tomi?
God is Merciful!
One day, her pastor’s daughter came to visit her at the hospital and told her about a group called “The BUD Family”.
She told her that the Juicy July programme was ongoing.
One thing led to another and she had her first prayer bulletin in her hands!
And she read Isaiah 10:27!
And the Holy Spirit whispered into her ears that “that day is today”.
The Holy Spirit ministered to her from Galatians 3:13 also and she burst out crying.
‘So, this is not ordinary!’
‘My quiet gentle husband wouldn’t have done this!’
‘And with the way I had sworn to be the best wife if God could give me the best man, I wouldn’t have spoken that badly to my husband. I would have been wise in presenting my case.’
‘The devil used my lack of knowledge against me!’ She cried.
‘He used this avenue to steal my baby from me’
‘I have been suffering under several curses! From my mum’s family, my dad’s family, even my in-laws’ family and I didn’t know!’ She wept even more.
Tomi could not contain it any longer!
‘Christ has redeemed me from all these curses? Really!!!! Why is the Devil still having a headway then? Kaiiiii!!! Enough is enough!!!’
Right then in the ward, she started praying, binding, casting, singing and worshipping God.
She started confessing the word and told the devil to get his hands off her family!
She called the police station on the phone and prayed for her husband!
She called her father and mother, spoke with them and spoke healing into their marriage.
She reminded them about the things they already knew but had forgotten.
Her husband met with the Lord too and his sentence was reduced to a year.
She learned to trust on the finished work of Christ and not on her works.
She overcame her pride and insultive character by reading the word, confessing it and spending time with God and with other believers.
Her husband came out after a year and they got joined together again. Soon, they were celebrating God’s faithfulness with their three kids and their large, fiery congregation of believers.
Her parents halted the planned divorce and became marriage counsellors.
Hallelujah!
No matter the situation you are facing, the power of God is greater and mightier!
The blood of Jesus is available to redeem you from any curse be it from sin or from other avenues you have unknowingly walked into!
As long as you believe in the finished work of Christ, you shall not inherit any curse!
And if you have, you’d be delivered today in Jesus Name!
You may try to please God by merely obeying laws, but the bible calls it the curse of the law. Are you willing to lean on the grace of God today?
Are you ready to trust in God’s power alone?

I command all curses and hand-me-down of evils from my fathers and forefathers not to transfer, go exactly where Jesus wants you to go and do not come back. I cancel all demonic assignments on my life!
In the name of Jesus, I separate myself from every curses and hand-me-down of evil from my fathers and forefathers in accordance with the word of God in Hebrews 4:12.
I speak against every foul spirit managing the curses in my life. You and the curses and those hand-me-down evils, are expelled by the fire of the Holy Ghost in the Name of Jesus!

Every curses and hand-me-downs of evil from my fathers and forefathers that hears my voice, I command you to attack the strongman. Do not stop in the name of Jesus. I order civil war in the name of Jesus. Evil spirits attack each other in the name of Jesus. Destroy your own kingdom. Out of my life!

I loose burning judgement and destruction upon you curses and hand-me-downs of evil from my fathers and forefathers in the name of Jesus.
Curses and hand-me-downs of evil from my fathers and forefathers, what are you waiting for? I command you to look at Jesus and do what he tells you to do. Look at Jesus! (Repeat) Do what he tells you to do! (Repeat)
I cut all evil spiritual connections I have with you and burn them away in the name of Jesus. Burn off now! (Repeat)
I tell you that we have looked for the devil’s trouble but we are fine. We are soaked in the Blood of Jesus.

Curses that give away my entitlements to others, Lord take away these curses from my life.
Curses that turn sweetness into sorrow, Lord take them away from my life.
Curses that make my family and I to be poor after having had so much wealth initially, Lord, waste them now!
Curses that have made me to take back seat though I was destined for greatness, Lord send fire on them now! Let them burn to ashes!
My destiny of greatness that curses have withheld, Lord cause them to be released unto me by fire!
Curses that are congenital in nature, Lord send them parking from my life with your fire.
The curses that came on me by the virtue of the family I was born into, Lord use your power to wrought deliverance for me.
Curses that came into my life in the mid-night, Lord arise in your power and send them out of my life.
Spoken words of curses that put my life in bondage let the authority and the power of God loosen the chains of these words in my life.
Curses responsible for my barreness, Holy Spirit judge these curses!
Curses responsible for lack of promotion at my working place, Lord I pray consume them with fire.
Curses that lock me up in a prison of life, the Lord renounces you and set me free.
Curses that would make me have still births, Lord do not allow these curses to operate any more in my life.
Curses spoken into my placenta, that turn my life upside-down, Lord, let these curses be wasted with a mighty fire.
I break free from every curse of the law for the word of the Lord says I am redeemed from the curse of the law (Gal 3:13)
I break all generational curses of pride, lust, perversion, rebellion, witchcraft, idolatry, poverty, rejection, fear, confusion, addiction, death, and destruction in the name of Jesus.
I command all ancestral and generational spirits that came into my life during conception, in the womb, in the birth canal, and through the unblical cord to come out in the name of Jesus.
Father in the name of Jesus, by the power in the blood that your son shed on the cross, I come against any stronghold that the devil has built in my life, and I close the door against the devil into my life! He is no longer welcome in Jesus name
I decree that I am blessed and not cursed. Therefore, any curse working against me or my family, I nullify it in the name of Jesus!
BUD, I declare that you are blessed in the name of Jesus! Curses are not your portion, curses of addiction and unfaithfulness to God, we nullify you in BUD in the mighty name of Jesus!
Henceforth, only goodness and mercies shall follow me in the name of Jesus.
I declare that the nations call me blessed! My friends call me blessed, my coworkers call me blessed! I am blessed in the city, blessed in the fields, in my going out and coming in, in Jesus name!
I come against curses of addiction and unfaithfulness, regardless of their source in my life and in the life of my loved ones!
I confess my sins and ask for forgiveness for thinking I could do it all on my own.
Help me to remember that without faith, I cannot please you. Help me to know that I cannot please you with mere works but only by obedience to you as you lead me.
Grant me the grace to continually obey you and abide in your presence
Continue to pray as the spirit leads…
