LORD, FOR A BLISSFUL MARRIAGE! (For the married)

JUICY JULY

DAY 15

THEME: LORD, FOR A BLISSFUL MARRIAGE! (For the married)

TEXT: PROVERBS 24: 3-5

BIBLE READING: PROVERBS 31

Is God not wonderful? Another Juicy July is upon us and we are on to its 15th day already.

For as many of us who have been partakers of this season in the past, you can join me to attest to the fact that God has truly been lending His special attention to hear us during this season.

It is always as though He also has been waiting for this time of the year with us.

Once again, He is set to hear us again and anew. Can you give God an offering of whatever kind at this point?

Glory!!!!

So, for today, we are going to be pleading and asking and praying for a BLISSFUL MARRIAGE!

A blissful marriage!

There rarely is a woman who doesn’t think of, dream of, pray for or desire a good marriage.

This is because when you look at the very essence for which God made a woman, it is directly linked to marriage. Take it or leave it.

Well, I am not just talking off my mind or head. Go to the Scriptures and you will see it there.

Genesis 2:18 says ‘And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.’

That was why the woman was made!

1 Corinthians 11:8-9 says ‘For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.’

This is the Scriptures.

And it is true.

This is why our hearts yearn for a marriage.

This is why we desire to get it right.

This is why our hearts go ‘awwwwnnn’ when we see affections and marital love.

We also want to experience it. We also want to be held, loved and cared for.

However, we look around and we realize that not everyone has this sweet marriage that we daydream about.

We see that so many homes are upside down. So many homes aren’t what the Lord says they should be like.

Or maybe your own home is also like that.

You are wondering if this is all it is about.

You are enduring, struggling and managing.

You feel no joy. No peace. No contentment. No satisfaction.

That was not how the Lord intended it to be..

God created a flawless, holy place. A place of joy and bliss. A place where Heaven and earth met together. A place of fellowship.

The place called, EDEN!

A place where God visited physically to abide with the man and woman.

It was after the creation of this blissful place that he created the man, Adam.

To compliment and help him, he made Eve!

Then, He brought them both into this BLISS that He had created.

It was bliss first, before marriage!

What a gracious God we serve!

Not only that. He also created a hierarchy. A hierarchy that made God first, the man second, the woman third.

The man is directly submissive to God and the woman is directly submissive to the man. Right?

They both were in this bliss. In this joy. In this beauty. In this amazing Holiness. In this glorious love. In this abiding peace of God.

Until….

The Devil visited!

Then, he wasn’t happy with the dominion God had given to these two. He wasn’t happy that they had the power of reproduction. He wasn’t happy that they were enjoying constant fellowship. He wasn’t happy that they were made in the image of God. He wasn’t happy that God had given them authority! He wasn’t happy about the hierarchy!

So, he came into the garden and went to the bottom of the hierarchy. He went to chat with her about the One that is at the top of the hierarchy.

‘Eve, is it true say your Oga wey dey for top say make you no chop that fruit?’

Before you know it, the dominion was taken!

As soon as Eve agreed with God’s enemy, took a bite, took the leadership of the home, called her husband aside also and gave him to eat it, the hierarchy was reversed.

Satan became the one in charge. The woman was then right after him. Putting the man at the end of the ladder.

God was no longer in the picture.

The will and the plan of the Lord had been messed up with.

The atmosphere in the blissful Eden changed.

The Devil was laughing at His Maker hysterically.

The woman had suddenly gone into hiding.

The man was nowhere to be found.

Then, God called out to the one who was representing the home.

The one to whom he had given the keys of the home to.

The man!

‘Adam! Adam! Where are you?’

‘Lord, I am sorry. I heard you call but I couldn’t answer because I am naked’

‘Naked? What happened to the clothing of glory that I had clothed you with? Have you eaten the fruit that robs one of my glory? The one I asked you not to eat?’

‘Well, yes, Lord. The one who You gave to me when I was peacefully on my own. The one You said should come and help me, when it was not like I complained to you that I needed anyone. Yeah, she brought the fruit to me ‘

‘And you ate it, Adam?’

‘Erm, yes, I did!’

‘Adam! I gave you an instruction for your home, marriage and life. But you foolishly sat down idly, folding your arms and allowing the woman you should be leading lead you!  You watched her listening to the devil and watched as she gave the dominion over . And you sit down there blaming me for giving you a woman? Is it now my fault?’

‘Erm, erm….’

‘Woman, why have you done this?’

‘Ah, the devil came and gave me to eat. He said you were lying and that we won’t die when we eat it. He said….’.

‘How dare you listen to a snake? An ordinary snake? A defeated snake? You think you are still alive because you can still talk? You are dead! The glory is dead! The fellowship you enjoyed with me is dead! The glory you were wearing as clothing before which didn’t make you know you were naked is stripped off and dead! I meant it when I said you would die! And now see, you would no longer be immortal. You were made from the dust and you will return there.’

‘And you Adam, because you listened to your wife. Because you put her first instead of me. Because you sat down idle while she led you. And because you allowed her to have a chat with my enemy. I have cursed the ground now. You need to work terribly hard now. You will now struggle. You will run around for your family till you die. You don’t work, no food for you. You need to be in charge of providing for your home. You will need to work work work work and sweat and carry everything on your head henceforth’

‘And you woman, because you didn’t stay in your place. Because you usurped the authority. Because you led when you should be led. Because you obeyed my enemy, and also caused your husband to sin with you, now when you want to give birth, you will go through terrible pain!’

‘Ah, my God!’

‘Not only that, marriage is no longer a cooperative enterprise for both of you. It is now a power tussle. It has become a struggle for dominance between both of you. You’d desire to dominate him but he shall rule over you!

God also gave a judgment to the snake. We will look at that later on.

To seal it all up, you know what God did???

He sent them out of the bliss!!!

He uprooted them from the automatic love, joy, bliss and all He had marvelously prepared for them!

Genesis 3 : 23 says: So the Lord God banished Adam and his wife from the Garden of Eden, and he sent Adam out to cultivate the ground from which he had been made.

Genesis 3 : 24 says: After banishing them from the garden, the Lord God stationed mighty angelic beings to the east of Eden. And a flaming sword flashed back and forth, guarding the way to the tree of life.

He removed them far from the bliss and from HOME where the inner content was automatic. And he guarded it so they wouldn’t return!

Since they decided not to follow the blueprint of God’s Will….

Since they decided to do marriage their own way….

Since the divine hierarchy was nothing to write home about in their marriage….

He sent them out to go do it THEIR OWN WAY!

Blissful Eden is only for people who will do it MY OWN WAY!

No room for disobedience here!

No room for chatting with the devil here!

No room for questioning what God had said here!

No room for husband lazing around while the wife leads here!

If I, THE LORD YOUR GOD won’t be the Lord of every part of your home, I’d rather not be Lord at all!!!!

And so, can you see why we are here?

We say ‘Oh Lord, for a blissful marriage!’ but bliss is only in EDEN!

Are you ready to abide by the terms?

If you are ready to abide by the terms of Eden, you can go back today!

Many now enjoy the bliss of Eden again in their marriages.

You said how?

Through the verdict God pronounced on the snake!!!!!

Halleluyah!!!!!

And God faced the snake and said:

‘….I’m declaring war between you and the Woman, between your offspring and hers. He’ll wound your head, you’ll wound his heel.”’

Who is the ‘He’ being spoken about in that verse??

Call His name, let me hear!!!!

JESUS!!!!

Oh, I’ve got tears in my eyes right now!!!

Jesus! Our Jesus!

God had to make Jesus come through a woman!

A cursed woman!

He put a holy seed into a cursed woman. And this holy seed became a man like you and I.

He had all the opportunities to sin but He didn’t.

Even when the snake visited Him like He did visit Eden, Jesus refused to bow as the first Adam did! He instead powerfully resisted Him!

But the devil wounded his heel indeed as the Holy one went to Calvary and was slain!

And as his sinless blood greeted the cursed earth; and his voice of victory echoed in the earth…IT IS FINISHED!!!!

There and then, the seed of the woman crushed the head of the serpent!!!!

And the Scripture was fulfilled!

Halleluyah!!!

Herein lies our victory!

In here dwells our hope!

And now, through that Blood, we have access back to Eden, if we can prove to the Lord that we will stick to the terms!

If we can prove to God that we are going into marriage for Him, not for us…

We’d have the keys back!

The keys of bliss!

Let’s sing our first song for today:

LORD BLESS OUR HOME (A hymn)

(Download here)

Families all around us are crumbing every day,

Yielding to the enemy and throwing life away.

Bind our lives together, Guard us with Your truth;

When the struggle seems too great,

Lord, keep our eyes on You.

Chorus

Lord, bless our home, protect our home;

Let it be a refuge in this world of sin.

Lord, reign within,

keep us strong and true;

And when we need You most, Lord,

draw us close, committed to each other.

Lord, bless our home; we give our home to You.

2 Thank You for Your goodness;

our love was in Your plan.

Help us face the future always

trusting in Your hand.

Keep us warm and tender;

Keep us clean and pure.

Drive us to each other’s arms,

and make our love endure.

So, marriage is a big deal to the Lord!

Do you know the first miracle God performed?

It was at a wedding!

Do you know what God likens a godly marriage to?

The relationship between Christ and the church!!!

What!

Marriage is a big deal to God!

And He needs us to see it as a big deal!

Do you know an event that will happen to the saints and Christ after life is over?

The MARRIAGE supper of the lamb!

This is why as married women , we must understand that marriage means so much more to God than you read in fairytales and TV series.

The Lord is waiting on your marriage to be the EDEN-styled marriage.

In an EDEN-styled marriage, these things are found:

Bliss

Daily Fellowship with God

Submission to God

Surplus supplies

Peace

Oneness between the couple

Regard for the hierarchy

Enmity for the Devil

Nakedness

Oh what a wonderful life this is!

Oh what a life God intends for us!

Oh what a bastard the Devil is to even try to rob us of these lovely gifts!

But the EDEN-styled marriage described above, is it a reality in your home?

Sincerely speaking, is it?

Before we go on, what exactly is this bliss we have been talking about?

This is a feeling that so many people have not felt before.

Even I, for the first time experienced bliss a few months ago. It left me on fire. I broke out in tongues many times, tears rolling down my face, His breath blowing over me.

It is an indescribable feeling!

So surreal!

That lady called ‘bliss’ I believe is locked in obedience.

Oh my!

Obedience!

I saw somewhere recently that the love language of God is OBEDIENCE and I concur!

It is even in the scriptures.

If you love me, keep my command!

Obey my command, if you truly love Me!

Ayayayayaya

I felt bliss over my spirit, soul and body as I intentionally yielded my life over to obedience. And say ‘Lord, not what I want but what You want!’

He gives bliss as soon as you step your feet on obedience!

I speak from a place of experience!

I am actually speaking from a place of bliss right now, sisters.

I desire you to have this feeling and even greater.

I want you to look at your man and just break out in singing even though he is an imperfect man just like you.

But what is bliss?

No dictionary can explain it though.

It is better experienced than defined. Ayayayyayayaya

But what does the dictionary say about it?

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defined blissful to mean ‘full of, marked by, or causing complete happiness’.

I am not satisfied with this definition though.

Happiness is of this world.

Bliss is from the world yonder!

The world beyond here!

Heaven!

I checked a Bible dictionary though and it says:

‘….the highest degree of happiness; blessedness; exalted felicity; heavenly joy’

Oh that is better.

Highest degree….I love that!

Heavenly joy!

Many of us have not felt joy before.

We have all had happiness and all. Glory be to God.

But you know joy, ehn, it is simply scarce!

And to worsen it, in marriage, so many are struggling. They are discontented. They are not happy, talkless of being joyful. Talkless of having the highest degree of joy!

Ayayayayyayayya

Bliss!!!

To me, it feels like a breeze over my body. It is a mixture of joy and peace. It draws tears from my eyes, pours more love for my husband into my heart, gives me huge contentment for all we have and makes me burst out singing and crying in holy awe of God!

Yeah, something like that.

I just can’t put it into words!

Joy is in the heart. Happiness is on the face. Bliss is on the heart, face, body, soul, spirit!

Joy is long lasting. Happiness is of the moment. Bliss is higher than the combination of both.

Joy transcends happenings around. Happiness reacts to things around. Happiness is felt when ‘Oh, he helped me with the chores’ or ‘Oh, he got me a gift!’ or ‘Oh, we have a child on the way’

But bliss is soooooo deep! Even though they have no food at home. Even though he couldn’t afford to surprise me for my birthday. Even though we are waiting for the fruit of the womb.

It is rooted in God!

It is such a high standard that we all should press onward towards!

Lay your hand on your head and quickly make this decree in the name of Jesus:

MY MARRIAGE SHALL BE FULL OF BLISS.

THE MARK OF BLISS SHALL BE ALL AROUND IT.

EVERYONE WHO COMES IN CONTACT WITH MY MARRIAGE, MY FAMILY SHALL BE TOUCHED BY DIVINE BLISS!

In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT CAN ROB US OF THIS BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE?

SIN:

All have sinned and come short of the GLORY OF GOD. The Glory of Eden. The glorious bliss!

To have a blissful marriage, sin has to be dealt with, dear women.

God cannot entrust you with His Eden when you are stained with inquiries.

You have no regard for God.

You have no regard for hierarchy.

You have no desire to seek for your Biblical roles in marriage.

And when you even find it out, you outrightly disobey it.

How then can it be blisssful?

Isaiah 1:18 is your solution: Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

So, come to the Lord Jesus. Tell Him of those sins that are cheating you. Ask the Lord to forgive you. Make a decision never to return to those sins. Tell Him to help you stay true to your words. Begin to walk in righteousness by DAILY walking with the Lord. Making SUBSTANTIAL time to pray and study His Word!

To have a blissful home, the husband and the wife must rid themselves of sins!

IDOLS: Many married women today still have idols in their hearts, hindering them from enjoying marital bliss. They are in marriage but outside of it. They are full of comparisons. They regretfully complain every now and then:

‘Oh if I had married that one instead!’

‘Oh, if we can just have that car like those people!’

‘Oh, if I hadn’t married from this tribe’

‘If only this my husband can also do his PhD like that other man’

‘If I only you are tall now. I wonder how a man will be short like this.’

Sentiments upon sentiments!

Idols upon idols.

Complaints and murmuring.

Lack of contentment.

A dead man cannot start dictating things when he is dead! Be dead to yourself, your feelings and desires and allow the Lord lead you into your bliss!

Idols will make you make you sorrowful. You will never be contented! Trust the Lord and in His bliss, you will find love, joy and pure bliss!

LACK OF TRUST IN GOD

Many of us have not known God and who we do not know, we cannot trust. When we hear of Him and His works, they probably sound like story books in our ears.

But excuse me ma, the Lord is real!!

Ask Him to reveal Himself to you!

Ask humbly, not so that you can boast about it. And you will see Him!

We need to trust God and understand that He is our Maker. And that our Maker won’t lead us into rubbish.

Stop protecting yourself from your own husband. Give it all up to God! Trust that God wouldn’t leave you alone in this marriage. He’d be there down every road with you. And because of this, you can trust all His prescriptions for a blissful marriage.

LACK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM:

Ah, see, the fact is, without the Holy Spirit, you cannot have bliss. This is the truth! See, joy, the younger sister of Bliss is part of the fruit of the Spirit. You don’t have joy yet and you want to experience bliss? It doesn’t work that way.

Jesus did not start his ministry until the Holy Spirit came!

As John the Baptist announced Him in John chapter 1 as the Lamb of God, and He dipped Him into the waters, the Holy Spirit came upon Him!

And you want to know how Christ lived sinlessly in this world?

Matthew 4:1 says ‘Then Jesus was led by the Spirit…’

Luke 4:1 also says ‘Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness’

Full of the Spirit!

Led by the Spirit!

That was Jesus!

To make it, He had to CONSISTENTLY be FULL OF and LED BY the Spirit of God.

What are you full of sisters??

What leads you?

What commands your dressing? Your speech? Your character? Your actions? Your thoughts? Your relationship with your husband?

How then can you enjoy the bliss of the Lord?

You need the Holy Spirit!

Tarry until you receive Him!

And wait to receive Him, not for a selfish motive (He won’t give you that way)

Let it come from a hunger and a desire that cries ‘I can’t do life without You’

That’s the cry that cannot be denied!

LOVE FOR THE WORLD:

Love for the world will not allow you to love God. If you desire the way the world runs its marriages. Where husbands are at the bottom of the ladder and women are the boss ladies, bliss will be far. If you love the things of this world, you will not be able to keep the words of the Lord. And once there is disobedience, bliss will not be found!

LIES OF THE DEVIL

The Devil tells a lot of lies about marriages now that so many people have swallowed. If you believe anything contrary to the Scriptures, you have been fed with the devil’s lies. And yielding to the devil’s lie was what chased Eve and her husband from EDEN in the first place! Have you swallowed any lies of the devil? Lies like:

Nothing like submission in this home. He submits to me, I submit to him!

I am not planning to be one with my husband. My money is mine. His is his! He has no right to tell me how to spend MY money!

It is my body. I decide what I want to do with it. I decide how many children I want. I decide when I want to give him sex.

He is not my lord! Why should I obey him?

All these lies and more are from the spirit of REBELLION! They are fighting the DIVINE ORDER! They will rob you of the bliss you so desire!

HATRED FOR MEN AND EVERYTHING MANLY

This is the order of the day now. Many Christian ladies hate the mention of man, masculinity, submission, patriarchy, headship and so on. Hmmmmm….your heart needs to be purged because these will rob you of the bliss! It is contrary to the Will of God! It is directly fighting God!

WALLS

These are some destructive measures we have put in place to ‘protect’ us so we do not experience what our moms, aunties, neighbors, pastor’s wives etc passed through in the hands of their husbands.

These walls came into our lives as a result of our backgrounds and personal experiences.

Sorry about all you have had to go through but if you don’t pull down the walls you’ve built around yourself, it might collapse against you in marriage.

BLISS thrives in FREEDOM. It needs a large place to express itself. It cannot be confined in darkness!

PRAYERLESSNESS

Christian wives and mothers, you need prayers to function! You cannot submit to your husband naturally like that. You need daily prayer!

You cannot build a home on your own. You need wisdom. And for wisdom, you get it in prayer!

What of the children? How can you bring them up in the ways of the Lord?

Through prayer!

Well, if you don’t pray, how can you know God’s mind for your life?

How can you avoid accidents and evils of the enemies from penetrating your home?

God’s will and plan is hidden in prayers! You need to ride on the wings of prayers into your desired bliss.

Build your prayer life, dear mama! Arise and start building. It is very simple. Just decide to pray for a certain amount of minutes/hours everyday. Keep to that and soon you’d see yourself growing in it.

Don’t let anything stop you from praying. When you fail once, try again. If sin comes knocking and you are defeated by it, pull yourself up instantly and visit the Cross again. He’d be right there, waiting to cleanse you again and give you another chance. He doesn’t have a last chance. His mercies endure forever.

So, keep praying, mama! And rely on the Holy Spirit so you don’t waste your time everyday praying things that are outside His Will!

LACK OF BIBLE TIME

Many married women do not read their Bibles! See, you won’t know anything about God’s Will. God’s mind. God’s commands. God’s Word, for your marriage if you do not study your Bible!

Start a relationship with your Bible today. Pick it line by line. Underline the striking verses. Memorize them. Use them when you pray. Preach it with others. Love the Scriptures. That’s how to grow. Just start! Give it twenty minutes for a start and ensure you don’t miss a day.

You do all these things and see if you won’t be led into the perfect pure bliss of Eden!

The text for our prayer today is Proverbs 24:3-5. I will put it forth in three translations of the Bible so we can read it thrice and let it sink in:

Proverbs 24:3-5 KJV

Through wisdom is an house builded; And by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled With all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong; Yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

Proverbs 24:3-5 AMPC

Through skillful and godly Wisdom is a house (a life, a home, a family) built, and by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation], And by knowledge shall its chambers [of every area] be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong and is better than a strong man, and a man of knowledge increases and strengthens his power;

Proverbs 24:3-5 Message

It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation;

It takes knowledge to furnish its rooms with fine furniture and beautiful draperies.

It’s better to be wise than strong; intelligence outranks muscle any day.

You can understand where I am going now, right?

WISDOM!

We need wisdom!

We might have read many books to boost our KNOWLEDGE. But knowledge isn’t Wisdom!

Knowledge is good but it can never build your marriage!

Just like food is good but it cannot build your body until it is consumed!

When the realization dawns on you that ‘Oh, I must eat to grow’- that is UNDERSTANDING!

But when you pick up the food and you start to eat, there, that is WISDOM!

Wisdom

Understanding

Knowledge

The inseparable triplet that will lead a marriage into her bliss!

We are going to be praying for wisdom to build our homes for marital bliss amongst other things today.

There are many things that can make a home blissful: Money, children, handsome husbands, good-paying jobs, friendly in-laws, etc.

However, the question mark on these things is that for how long?

Those things are no guarantee that the home, or marriage will be blissful even when Christ is in it.

You may not necessarily need wisdom to start a home but the Bible says to build it requires wisdom.

For a home to have a solid foundation, the Bible points to UNDERSTANDING.

Then, to give it the right accessories that gives that beauty and the kind of aura you want of it, KNOWLEDGE is required.

But in Proverbs 4 vs 7, the Bible says that WISDOM IS THE PRINCIPAL THING so get it! Then in all you do, seek understanding.

It is saddening that most of the time, what we seek first is knowledge when it should be the third thing.

The role of wisdom, knowledge and understanding is to help you to not make foolish decisions, to keep you and preserve you; you find life and obtain favour from God because of WISDOM (Prv. 4:6; 8:35).

There are many references to a foolish woman in the Bible: See Prv. 9:13; 10:1; 12:4; 14:1; 17:1; 17:25; 19:13; 21:9.

It will be terrible to have the God of wisdom and be a woman of foolishness.

To bring our homes into the glorious bliss designed by God, we need WISDOM!

Let’s listen to this song before we pray:

The Perfect Wisdom of our God by Keith and Kristyn Getty:

(Download here)

The perfect wisdom of our God

Revealed in all the universe:
All things created by His hand
And held together at His command.
He knows the mysteries of the seas,
The secrets of the stars are His;
He guides the planets on their way
And turns the earth through another day.

The matchless wisdom of His ways
That mark the path of righteousness;
His word a lamp unto my feet,
His Spirit teaching and guiding me.
And O the mystery of the cross,
That God should suffer for the lost,
So that the fool might shame the wise,
And all the glory might go to Christ!

O grant me wisdom from above,
To pray for peace and cling to love,
And teach me humbly to receive
The sun and rain of Your sovereignty.
Each strand of sorrow has a place
Within this tapestry of grace;
So through the trials I choose to say:
“Your perfect will in Your perfect way.”

.

.

.

.

.

The lyrics of the song recognize God as the Possessor of all wisdom.

His wisdom paved the pathway for all creation.

The last verse is our focus: the singer says that she craves the wisdom from above, the wisdom that helps pray aright for peace, helps choose love, and humbly accept God’s rulership over her.

Even when the path is dark, to still choose to Trust that His way is the best.

We cannot have a blissful marriage if we do not seek His wisdom like this song speaks so that we can build the right home where God will dwell. And also to have the understanding that will lay a solid foundation that even our children will be able to build their own homes upon. And lastly, to be equipped with the right knowledge that makes our homes a home indeed.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

SHALL WE PRAY?

Thank God because He is interested in your marriage.

Thank Him for founding your home for His glory.

Thank Him for His intentionality to make your marriage work.

Worship Him for His desire to ensure that your marriage is enjoyed and not endured.

Appreciate His name for the number of months, years, that He has joined you with your husband.

Thank Him because despite all that you have experienced in your home thus far, He has not left you for a moment.

Thank Him because He has been true to your marriage and He is not yet done with you or your husband.

Thank Him because the good work of your marriage that He has started, He is going to bring it to completion even unto the day of our Lord Jesus.

Sing a hearty song of Thanksgiving to Him.

Thank You Lord for the beautiful gift of Eden, Lord!

Today, I have been made to realize that Eden was even made before marriage. That bliss was made before marriage. Oh Lord, everything that wants to hinder my marriage or hinder our entrance into the provided bliss, I destroy by fire in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ!

Satan, you might have failed over the marriage of Adam and Eve but hey, I have been redeemed by the Blood of the lamb. You will not succeed at having my own marriage in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ!

Lord, please break every wall, every idol that is hindering my husband and I from entering into the bliss you have prepared for us in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Take over my heart Lord and take away every worldly principle that I have taken in one way or another that is destroying my marriage in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Now, cry to the Lord singing this song:

I don’t have the strength of my own/2x

Come Holy Spirit, fill me with Your wisdom,

Come Holy Spirit, fill me with Understanding

For I don’t have the strength of my own.

Turn the song to a prayer: Lord, I can’t build my home without Your wisdom, please I need Your wisdom, give it to me Lord in abundance in Jesus name.

The anchor Scripture says through wisdom a house is built, say:

‘Lord, let Your wisdom reside in my heart that I may build my home, my marriage with it.’

‘Let Understanding take root in my heart that I may with my husband and You Lord, lay a solid foundation for our marriage for many generations to come.’

Father, any block that has been laid in the foundation of my marriage that spells foolishness and doom, Lord, by Your mercy, uproot it and let understanding take its place.

Father, every foolishness resident in my heart that will hinder me from having a marriage, a home that speaks of wisdom, Lord, by fire and force, let it wither, let it dry up, let it burn to ashes.

Foolishness, be gone from me in Jesus name!

I refuse to be foolish, I refuse to be a dunce, I reject stupidity in the name of Jesus!

Lord, take me to the brook of wisdom and let me drink to my fill!

Take me to the pasture of understanding and let me eat to my content!

Take me Father, to the shed of Knowledge and let me learn the truth that will help my home, help my marriage!

Dear God, let my mind be drawn to the multitude of counsel that will help my marriage and lead me to safety.

Your Word is a light to my feet and a light to my path, help me Father to pursue after it. Keep my feet from straying towards darkness. Let the entrance of Your Word give light and understanding to me a simpleton.

Concerning my Children, help me Lord that I will not be a foolish mother to them. Let me not raise them unto foolishness.

Fill my mouth with grace that I may speak in the abundance of Your wisdom. Let my mouth speak Your wisdom and bring forth life and preservation.

I refuse the spirit of nagging in my marriage

I reject the spirit of foolishness in my marriage

I refuse the spirit of being quarrelsome in my marriage

I am a spring of comfort to my husband

I am a well of refreshing waters to my husband

I am a vineyard of blooming grapes to my husband, he drinks of me and he is preserved, he is renewed

At this point, lay all your weaknesses before the Lord and ask for strength to overcome them. Those weaknesses that are hindering you from giving your best to your husband. Pray for grace to daily live out the life of wisdom that God has desired of you.

Next, pray for those specific matters that you know you need wisdom for, that your home need wisdom for. Ask the Lord to intervene.

Pray with our anchor Scriptures as you are led.

Pray in tongues if you can.

Thank Him for He has answered.
