KNOCKING ON HEAVEN’S DOOR FOR MY PERSONAL REQUESTS

JUICY JULY 2020
DAY 19
PROGRAMME THEME: KNOCKING ON HEAVEN’S DOOR
THEME FOR THE DAY: KNOCKING ON HEAVEN’S DOOR FOR MY PERSONAL REQUESTS

TEXT: MATTHEW 7:7
BIBLE STUDY: JUDGES 8

Today is the 19th day in the month of July .

It is also the day of the Lord, so I want to make sure that the bulletin for today is minimalistic.

We are going to be going into our prayer journals- the one that everyone was advised to document at the very beginning of our prayer programme.

If you do not have one, it is not too late to quickly think through your life and family and start to write out those things you do not want, those things you want, those things you want to be changed etc.

Pick your prayer request one after the other and send them right into Heaven! The Lord will honour you and make His face shine upon you.

As you look up to Heaven in faith, crazy faith, the Heavens will be opened unto you and your requests will be answered in the Name of Jesus.

We will look at the following Bible verses that show the power and right that we have in Christ Jesus to pray. Make sure you read the verses so loudly repetitively as God leads you. Then, pray with the verses if any prayer drops on your mind.

LET’S GO!

Matthew 7:7 ESV
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Matthew 26:39 ESV
And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

Matthew 6:6 ESV
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Philippians 4:6-7 ESV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

James 5:16 ESV
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

Ephesians 6:18 ESV
Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

1 Chronicles 4:9-10 ESV
Jabez was more honorable than his brothers; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.

Colossians 1:9-12 ESV
And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

2 Corinthians 12:8 ESV
Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me.

Romans 8:26 ESV
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

Matthew 5:44 ESV
But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Philippians 4:6 ESV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Philippians 1:9-11 ESV
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Ephesians 1:17 ESV
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,

Ephesians 1:15-23 ESV
For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might …

Luke 18:1 ESV
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.

Psalm 145:18 ESV
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

NOW, LET US HAVE OUR SONG FOR TODAY:

IT IS TITLED “Lord, I Need You” by Matt Maher

SING SO HEARTILY FROM THE STANCE OF VICTORY, KNOWING THAT YOUR LABOUR IS NOT IN VAIN IN THE LORD.

Lord, I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You’re the One that guides my heart

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
Where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

So teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
When I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus, You’re my hope and stay

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

You’re my one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
