JUICY JULY DAY 2- MADE BATTLE-FIT

JUICY JULY 2024 DAY 2

JUICY JULY 2024 DAY 2

THEME: MADE BATTLE-FIT
DATE: 2/7/2024
TOPIC:MADE BATTLE-FIT
TEXT: JOEL 3:9-17
BIBLE STUDY: ROMANS 8

Welcome to Juicy July Day 2. I trust you had a great time praying yesterday. If you are yet to key into the prayers, I’d urge you to open up your heart to the Lord. I’d urge you to take all the prayers seriously. I’d urge you to cry out for a revival in your soul. When you need electricity badly in your house, you will pull the lever of your generator until it picks up. If it doesn’t pick up, you’d keep pulling and turning the key till it does. Keep pulling at the lever of your spirit this season until there is a spark that becomes highly inflammable. Those huge and hearty desires of lif, lay bare before the Throne of Grace. Until we catch fire, don’t let’s stop! Make sure you touch Heaven and ensure that Heaven touches you. Do not allow what the Lord is doing in this season to pass you by.

Let us take this song before we look at what the Lord has for us today:

HAVE THINE OWN WAY LORD by Jim Reeves

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!

Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.

Mold me and make me after Thy will,

While I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!

Search me and try me, Master, today!

Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now,

As in Thy presence humbly I bow.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!

Wounded and weary, help me, I pray!

Power, all power, surely is Thine!

Touch me and heal me, Savior divine.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!

Hold o’er my being absolute sway!

Fill with Thy Spirit till all shall see

Christ only, always, living in me.

PRAYER

As we go into what the Lord has for us for today, can you just bow your head and ask the Lord to speak to you? That He would make His word real in your heart and that He might awaken you unto understanding. Amen.

WORSHIP

Take a worship song (A worship song is a song, not about how good the Lord has been to you, (that is ‘praise’) but how worthy the Lord is, how great He is, how mighty He is. It is not about you or your family but about HIM! Worship His Holiness, worship His greatness, adore His majesty. Make sure you really worship before you move on from here.

MADE BATTLE-FIT

This is the overall theme of this prayer programme and as we get further into the introductory part of Juicy July 2024, we need to understand what it means to be battle-fit. Have you taken time at all to ponder on what this means?

I had the opportunity of seeing someone crazily preparing for a marathon in one of the Western countries sometime last year. And to ensure he was fit for the marathon, he had a strict regimen. He was doing intermittent fasting- he only had six hours to eat per day- he’d have to eat everything he could within 12noon and 6pm every day. Anything outside of that, he wouldn’t be able to eat. He also had a particular number of kilograms he needed to lose, so every evening, he would spend time running on the treadmill for a specified time. He had a number of kilometers to cover from his house and round a bridge and back, walking and running. There were certain things he wouldn’t eat even though he liked them. I kept wondering why someone would put himself under so much duress just because he wanted to participate in a city marathon. He was however doing that to be fit for the race because the race was that of endurance- it could be as long as for eight hours. So, he needed to get his body ready so that it could carry him through the race.

We have so many people like this in the world today. Everywhere you turn, you see talks on fitness. People abstain from what they like to eat, eat what they do not enjoy, put their bodies under stress just to be fit for a marathon, a contest, a show, the social media, health, etc. Here’s what the Bible has to say about that in 1 Timothy 4:8 (LB) Bodily exercise is all right, but spiritual exercise is much more important and is a tonic for all you do. So exercise yourself spiritually, and practice being a better Christian because that will help you not only now in this life, but in the next life too.

It says the spiritual exercise is MUCH MORE IMPORTANT! I mean, that is like a 100% prescription that we choose spiritual exercises. These will profit us not only in this life but in the life to come! Oh my my!

And that leads me to you, dear sis. I know that when Juicy July comes, we all aim at praying and fasting and crying desperately to God. That is great. But asides this month, how do you exercise your spirit? I mean, from January to June and then from August to December? Even during the Juicy July, how else apart from fasting do you exercise your spirit? Is your spirit fit for battle? If any little battle comes your way now, can you face it head-long and come out smiling in triumph?

One brother recently who according to reports sadly only had time for his career, academics and just a regular church attendance and the normal daily devotional life of an average believer got an information from his village. He was told that while his mom was tilling her farm, sand spilled into her eyes and she got blind. Of course, he didn’t have to be told that what had happened was spiritual, so, he embarked on emergency labors of prayers and waiting on the Lord.

One day as he was passionately praying for his mom, he got a feedback! Something struck his stomach and that was the beginning of his own very very short battle. His stomach became hard as rock. I mean, in the space of a SINGLE DAY, he was rushed from one hospital to the other. He could only ask for mercy helplessly before he lost the ability to speak any further. It was while he was waiting to see the doctor that he passed on! The years of labour, all gone! The money spent on courses and all, gone! The hopes and future plans, all gone! Why? Because he wasn’t fit for the battle of life that he had embarked on!

One of these days, my husband and I were having a serious prayer session. Then, I got a feedback. I instantly knew it was a feedback. The pain was so much to handle, my husband ran to and fro until I told him: ‘Sweetie, this is a feedback. Let us note that prayer point we were taking, we would have to take it again’. All that we tried to do to remedy the situation proved abortive. So, I asked my husband that we joined hands together and send God’s judgment into the camp of the enemies. We prayed using all the available weapons of warfare that we could access at that point and before you know it, the pain disappeared. It wouldn’t have happened if the spirit had not been trained for battle. It was after that that we repeated confidently and victoriously the prayer point the enemy didn’t want us to utter.

Also, the Lord graciously revealed a lady to me one day. She was in a marital battle- as a victim. She was extremely helpless, speechless, in tears, covered in bruises, wounds and blood. When I woke up, I knew, ahhhh, this lady’s spirit has not been well trained for this journey. The battles of her ancestral generations are going to frustrate her marriage and her end wouldn’t be good- she’d end up in bruises! I had to bury myself in prayers for her.

I understand that you are fit for your career. If you are not around, noone else can do what you do. Amazing! It is impressive that bodily, your BMI is fine, everything about you is in order and you are very fit, great! Financially, you are the fittest person ever, there is nothing you want to ‘carry’ with money that you would be handicapped to do. Lovely! You really have done a whole lot of investments in yourself and your work and career etc. You have really built yourself some beautiful cottages. Great! But, dear sis, How fit are you spiritually? As you are building cottages investing your time and passion in making your physical life beautiful, are you also building some fortresses for your life spiritually? Only fortresses last, dear sisters! The Lord is interested in MAKING you fit for the battles of life, big or small! But, are you ready to be MADE?

Yes, ask yourself, dear sister. ‘Am I really ready to be MADE a warrior?’

Let me tell you another story today:

THE MAKING OF EAMON, THE WARRIOR

In the heart of the rugged mountains lived a seasoned warrior named Kael. His arms bore the scars of countless battles, and his eyes held the weight of a thousand sorrows. Kael was a guardian of the village, sworn to protect the land from marauders and dark forces that threatened its very existence.

One moonless night, Eamon approached his father, his voice trembling. “Father, why must I become a warrior? Why can’t I tend to the fields or weave mats like Mother?”

Kael’s gaze hardened. “Because, my son, our land demands it. The enemy encroaches, and our people look to us for protection. A warrior’s duty is not a choice—it’s a calling.” He took his tender hands and rubbed his caloused ones against them. “Plus, Eamon, you are my son. The son of the great Kael is condemned to fight!” He said without mincing words, his eyes boring deeply into Kael’s.

One fateful day, Kael stood before his son, his expression stern. “Eamon, it’s time for your final test. You must fight me.”

Eamon’s heart pounded like a war drum as his father, Kael, stood opposite, eyes rock-hard. Eamon’s palms sweated, and his legs wobbled. He’d seen Kael spar with others, but this was different. This was blood against blood.

The crowd held its breath. Mothers whispered prayers, and children peeked through gaps in the fence. Elara, Eamon’s mother, stood at the edge, her face covered in a mask of worry. She’d stitched Kael’s wounds after battles, but this—this ripped her own heart open.

Kael lunged at Eamon suddenly and the impact of his father’s attacks jarred his bones. He almost let out a shrill scream but he knew he had to parry back for survival. “Put on your fighting spirit!” Kael’s voice thundered. “A whole land counts on you!”

Eamon’s mind raced. He wasn’t a warrior. He was the boy who climbed trees, who listened to Elara’s lullabies. Tears formed in his eyes as he tried to find a way to fight this determined ‘enemy’- His father.

“You are my son,” Kael spat, each word a whip. “Don’t you know what that means?” Eamon’s legs gave way, and Kael caught him, fierce as a storm. “This is no game! Our enemies won’t spare you because of your pain, boy, fight!”

Eamon’s vision blurred. He tasted iron—the blood from a split lip. Kael lowered him gently, eyes unyielding. “Fight,” Kael whispered. “For our land, for honor, for every heartbeat that depends on you.”

And so, they clashed that day—father and son. Eamon’s breaths failed but looking into his father’s determined eyes- eyes black as death, he knew he had to live! His fainting soon turned to determination and he wrestled with his dad. The sun dipped, shadows stretching. Kael fought as if Eamon was no kin—as if blood meant nothing against the weight of a nation.

After the fight that day, as Eamon lay in the dust, half-dead, gasping for breath but still clinging to his sword, Kael caught him, relentless. “You’re no longer just my son,” Kael said. “You’re a blade, forged in anguish!”

Eamon squinted to look into his father’s face and glimpsed pride and sorrow warring in them. He forced a short smile.

“You fought,” Kael said. “That’s what it means to be my son.”

As seasons passed, Eamon’s muscles grew taut, and his spirit hardened. He learned to read the wind, anticipate an opponent’s strike, and find courage even when fear clawed at his throat. Kael’s daily lessons were harsh but effective—they molded Eamon into a blade, sharp and unyielding.

Then came the day when the enemy breached the mountain. Their banners waking like vultures hungry for death. Kael, grizzled and battle-worn, stood beside Eamon. “This is the day of battle,” he said. “Defend our homeland.”

The clash of steel echoed through the land as Eamon single-handedly fought with the desperation of a cornered wolf. His arms burned, and his breath came in ragged gasps. But he remembered Kael’s words: “Pain is the forge where valor is shaped.”

Eamon’s blade danced, and enemies fell. Blood stained the greens, and the wind carried the cries of the fallen. When the last foe lay defeated, Eamon stood amidst the carnage—a warrior forged in anguish, yet unbroken.

Kael clasped Eamon’s shoulder, his eyes filled with pride. “You are the weapon our land needed,” he said. “You are a warrior, my son, Kael’s son!”

LESSONS FROM THE STORY

1.There was a Father Warrior and there had to be a Son Warrior!:

A fish only gives birth to a fish! A lion gives birth to a lion! If we call the Lord our God a warrior, we must be warriors ourselves or we would be bastards! The son of the great Kael is condemned to fight! The son of the Great King is condemned to fight! You must fight, sis! Where is your fighting spirit?

2. There are marauders and dark forces that threaten the very existence of the land!

Whether you know it or not; whether you like the sound or not, you are either surrounded right now or are about to be surrounded- yes, by enemies who want to plunder you! In fact, if you are a child of God, you are already surrounded! You have pitched your tent with the Lord of lords, so the prince of this world, the world, his agents are pitched against you already!

3. You prepare ahead of the battle!

You do not prepare for an examination on the day of the examination or you must be such a very bad bad student aiming for some robust failures. A singer who would be a great one wouldn’t start her vocal trainings on the day of the singing contest! A fighter doesn’t begin to sharpen his weapons or train his muscles, gait and composture on the day of the battle. You prepare way ahead of time! You just know that one day, the enemies would arrive the land and must be prepared for them- could be today or twenty years ahead- you do not give up preparation!

4. You are prepared for battles in pain:

If any time you witness heartbreaks, attacks, envies, hatred from men, hunger, insults, needs, antagonisms and all,  you cave in and just weep and fall into depression and question God, you are not ready yet for life. These are the little sparrings that prepare you for the Big Battle ahead. These are the little sub-battles that your father exposes you to so that you are prepared for the day of battle! Even if you cry, you must arise again and then fight, warrior! You must or your muscles will never be trained! You can’t keep running! Like those marathoners, you must put in some DAILY disciplines that will train your muscles for battles and these aren not without pains at times. Fasting is not easy for instance, praying for the ones who hate you is not easy, going on personal retreat is not easy, submitting yourself under authorities is not easy, letting go and letting God is not easy, waiting for the Lord is one of the most difficult things to do, hoping against all hope is hard- but these are some of the exercises that build our muscles, sis!

5. Your Father is aware of and is in that fight with you:

Oh yes! Don’t you ever think that the Lord has just pushed you into the yard alone to battle with the enemies. Oh no, He is right there in the yard with you. He is desiring that your hands lose their tenderness and become trained and calloused! He is eagerly cheering for you to come out of the ring victoriously! He is right there, sisters. He is! Oh, may the Lord open our eyes to see that behind these tough times sparring at us are the most tender eyes and the most gracious heart ever, bleeding for us! He is right there beside you sis! I remember one of the main battles I have faced in life, while lying in pain, tears strolling down my face, helpless, hopeless, without any strength and ability, the Holy Spirit spoke to me. I was surprised. ‘You are here?’ I asked and He said ‘Yes, I am’. ‘Like what! How can You be here and allow me in this condition?’ I asked in awe but I never got an answer instantly. I only got a repeated assurance of His Presence- ‘I am here’. Child of God, the LORD is right beside, cheering you on!

6. If you faint in the Day of Adversity, your strength is small!:

Eamon was only able to single-handedly face the enemies and beat them all down because he had a big big strength! But the strength was not an inborn, instant thing. It was a cultivated strength. That was what happened to the other brother that I told you about. He was going into a terrible battle with an emergency strength- it does no good! It cannot last! In fact, God doesn’t trust such strength. I don’t know if you understand what I am talking about. Let me share this with you. After many people read The Lovers’ Diary, which is the story of how the Lord brought my husband and I together, I got numerous emails and messages informing me of their decisions to wait on the Lord in prayers. I remember some fasting for 7, 3, 14 days as the case may be.

After that, I got some daunting news- ‘Oh, God didn’t show up!’, some said ‘I believe I will see the impact of the prayer’ and so on. After a while, following up a few of those people up, I met with discouragements and souls that were downcast. One even told me she was going to attend a Christian matchmaking programme because God was taking too long. I wondered deeply within me- ‘The story that inspire you to cry to the Lord, was it emergency strength that brought the testimony about? Was it a one day, one month, even one year consistent prayers that brought these people into a spiritual state where they could bring the Lord down into their situations? So, why would these people think that just these few days of waiting would do?’

Emergency strength will fail. When delays attack it, it will faint. When a little jab here and a little jab there hit it, it will falter. Only a cultivated strength endures, dear sisters. God is the only One however who can determine for how long He needs you to cultivate before He shows up. But if you start tilling, training, exercising, fighting and all, and you couldn’t continue that, you will reap pains and regret. Just like someone who start gyming. If the person starts and stops, the person will come back with a story to tell. The whole muscles will respond with roars. It could have been better for the person not to have started than to have started and stopped just like that! We need a big big strength in this journey of life, dear sisters! We dare not face this evil life with a small strength or we will simply faint!

MADE BATTLE-FIT: THE TRAINED SPIRIT

Look all around you, dear sisters and you will see so many people fainting! So many people dying! So many people unable to withstand the little spars! So many people angry at and questioning God! It is because they have not been made battle-fit! They are not battle-ready! And if you notice the word ‘made’, you will realize that it is a process. It is not something that is done spontaneously. You do not have a beautifully decorated cake just by thinking about it or talking about it. You go through the process of listing the ingredients, getting them, sifting the dry ingredients, mixing the wet ingredients, withdrawing your mixer, plugging it and on and on and on until you make a beautiful cake! These people we see fainting around us (or maybe we ourselves) must have resisted or not given in to the Hands that ‘make’, therefore, we haven’t been made!

And no, we aren’t fighting with our hands or that might have been easier. We aren’t fighting with our money or that might have been so easy for the rich. We aren’t fighting with our strengths or by our intellects or the weak and the unitelligents are in trouble then. We are fighting with something deeper! Something unseen! Something so expensive that so many cannot afford- a robust, strengthened spirit! Oh yes, that is it!

Proverbs 18:14 says: “The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?”

What will sustain you in the day of your adversity is your healthily trained spirit! If your spirit is untrained, even at just the sound of war, before even facing it, it will utterly be wounded. What then can that wounded spirit do but to flee or to surrender or to be destroyed?

A trained spirit! Oh how much this is so missing today! Even many churches no longer emphasize its importance, hence the reason for the great number of walking dead-men around us!  A trained spirit it is that will sustain my infirmity!

No, it is not by naming and claiming! It is not by morning-by-morning positive affirmations! It is not by making friends with powerful people! It is not by carrying placards! It is not by going to the courts and fighting for your rights. It doesn’t come from much studying and education. You don’t get it by being religious. These will not train your spirit!

Yes, these can train your mind. They can make you sound well-read and intelligent. They may make you seem ‘spiritual’ but in the reality, you are simply an empty carcass! A powerless container! A deflated balloon- without a trained spirit!

Some are busy fighting physically that they cannot be able to fight spiritually! They are busying hating, insulting, scheming, proving their worths, struggling, engaging in enmity, having headaches from the tussles, using painkillers and then continuing the whole wrong wars again! These people are busying trying to ensure that they are respected so, they are fighting for it tooth and nail! Doing this and achieving that, buying this and possessing that! Yet, they can never be satisfied. They might appear okay and happy online but you get into their closets and see the most frustrated, pills-dependent, fainting and dying ‘Christian’ souls ever! It shouldn’t have to be like this if we yield to the making of the Lord!

Psalms 144:1 says Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:”

Can you see this powerful verse? It is quite revelational, you can take a look at it again. It is the Lord who is our strength! Do you know what this means? The Bible says if we faint in the day of adversity, our strength is small! If God is our strength, why then would our strength be small? It probably is because the Lord is not our strength then! If He is our strength, then, it just must be big!

Then, it says it is this same God that teacheth our hands to war and our fingers to fight! Oh how amazing! He is our strength and the way He infuses the strength into us is by training our hands and fingers to fight and to war! He intentionally exposes our hands and fingers to fights and wars so we can be learned! This verse was written by David. And do you know how the Lord trained David’s hands and fingers? ‘Oh how terrible! Oh how devastating!’ our flesh might be tempted to scream when we remember all that David went through but we can’t mention powerful warriors in the Scriptures without making reference to this amazing man!

1 Samuel 17:31-39 read thus: What David said was overheard and reported to Saul, and Saul sent for him. David said to Saul, “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.”. Saul replied, “You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a young man, and he has been a warrior from his youth.”

But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it.

Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”

Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head. David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them. “I cannot go in these,” he said to Saul, “because I am not used to them.” So he took them off.

Oh powerful! Oh graciously amazing! This passage is full of so many lessons. It would be beneficial for you to dwell on it for a while and draw out your lessons after this prayer.

Do you know why David was able to confront Goliath unafraid? He had been trained! That little boy was battle-fit! He might not look it, his muscles might not look it but you needed to see the muscles of his spirit! Extremly trained and fit!

He had defeated a lion and a bear! He had fought for his sheep and rescued them from death. He had done all of these with his bare hands and a very shielded, extremely forceful and powerful spirit! Oh my my! I pray the Lord gives you understanding.

Saul dared compare Goliath who was only full of a bag of certificates and experiences on things that concern the mind and the body with David who had been under the dews daily drawing in strength, power and training for his spirit, gaining extraordinary expertise along the line? Now, it is not by power, nor by might but by HIS SPIRIT! His Spirit inside of us! His Spirit that has been poured into us by training!

HOW IS YOUR SPIRIT TRAINED?

Now, just think about it. Do you have a trained spirit? I am not asking if you can quote the scriptures or if you go to church of if you are a pastor’s wife or a minister yourself. Oh no! All these do not equal a trained spirit!

How long time do you dedicate to training your spirit every single day? How much do you feed it? How much time do you spend with your Master daily, not telling Him of your needs or problems or asking for His hands but just learning His ways? Has He even really become your Master? Your Lord? Your King? Does He call the cards in your life? Does He have the final say in all that you do?

All these do not come just by naming and claiming, It is not by studying key-points and books on temperaments and all. They come by exposing yourself to the Spirit and becoming enslaved to Him! He tells you go, you go! He tells you come, you come! He tells you ‘don’t respond rashly’, you obey! He tells you ‘fast’, you fast! He has you bound to Him!

2 Samuel 22:35 says “He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.”. If we are to do extraordinary things like break bows of steel with our bare arms, we must understand that our Trainer is God Himself. He is the One who teaches our hands to war. So the first thing:

  1. Initiate a fiery relationship with God through intense prayer and STUDY of the Word.
  2. Keep the relationship consistent
  3. Be led by the Spirit daily
  4. Maintain a daily Silent Meditation alone with God (even if it is for 15 minutes)
  5. Don’t run away from adversities, those are the sub-battles training you for the big day.
  6. Desire to do God’s Will daily (Choosing His Words, thoughts, ways, reactions above yours)
  7. Cut away the excesses (The malice, comparisons, secular movies and music, talkativeness, bad friends and circles etc)
  8. Engage in fasting consistently (One a week, four times a month etc)
  9. Pray in tongues daily (if the Lord has blessed you with this precious gift)
  10. Choose Self-denial daily. (Intentionally say ‘No’ to the desires of your flesh. It wants to overeat, say no. It wants to oversleep, say no. It wants to lie and insult, say no.)

ROUNDING OFF

Let us round off today with our text for the day: Joel 3:9-13:

Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for holy war; stir up the warriors! Have all the soldiers come forward, have them come up!

Beat your plowshares into swords, And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak man say, “I am a warrior.”

Hurry and come, all you surrounding nations, And gather yourselves there. Bring down, Lord, Your warriors.

Let the nations be awakened, And come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, For there I will sit to judge All the surrounding nations.

Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread the grapes, for the wine press is full;

The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great.

I don’t know if you understand what is happening in that text. The Lord had had enough! The enemies had dealt with His land enough! He needed to deal with those enemies in His wrath but guess what? HE NEEDED WARRIORS! Warriors who would throw away their weaknesses, declare their strengths, key into the Strength of the Lord, sharpen all their weapons and then assemble to do wars for the Lord, with the Lord!

Are you ready to be made into a warrior?

Are you ready in your weakness to declare ‘I am a warrior!’?

Are you ready to beat your plowshares into swords and beat your pruning hooks into spears?

Sisters, are you ready to be made battle-fit?

Are you ready to start exercising your spirit every day, consistently?

Are you ready to start cultivating your strength for the day of battle so that you are not suddenly met that day with emergency strength that will do you no good?

PRAYER TIME

WORSHIP

Let us take some quality time to worship the Lord for His Word that we have just gone through. Thank Him for the specific revelations that He has given you today. When you are done, move on.

SPIRITUAL SANITATION

Begin to sanitize your life right now. Rid your life of every sins and iniquities with the Blood of Jesus. The Lord does not hear the prayers coming from the mouth of a sinner, but if such confesses and forsakes the sins, the Lord will have mercy, hear and forgive.

ATMOSPHERIC SANITATION

Now, take charge of your environment. Begin to cover where you are now with the Blood of Jesus. Cover yourself with the fire of the Holy Ghost.

TEACH ME TO BE STRONG by David Omodunmiju

Rescue my heart

As darkness rises

I see men fall along the way

But I seek your strength

In all my weakness

By my strength I cannot prevail

You are the way

The truth and life

And in your hands

I am sure secured

You were like me

And You made it home

And so I come now without one plea

Teach me to be strong

Help me to be close

Tell me when I’m wrong

Be my guide

Lead me through the night

Keep me focused on you

Help me overcome

Lead me home

Teach me to be strong

Help me to be close

Tell me when I’m wrong

Be my guide

Lead me through the night

Keep me focused on you

Help me overcome

Lead me home

Lead me home

Lead me home

On this narrow way

The path is fading

Oh come Lord Jesus and light my path

Remove from me these little foxes

And every weight lest I should fall

Let my desires be for things above

Present me blameless when You’re revealed

Let the same grace that kept the old saints

Usher me home where I see You

Teach me to be strong

Help me to be close

Tell me when I’m wrong

Be my guide

Lead me through the night

Keep me focused on you

Help me Jesus,

help me overcome

And when my faith is shaking

Be then my Prince of Peace

Keep me from falling

Wrap me in Your embrace

And help me know that I’m never alone

Teach me to be strong

Help me to be close

Tell me when I’m wrong

Be my guide

Lead me through the night

Keep me focused on you

Help me overcome

Lead me home

Father, let me feel Your comforting presence even in the toughest times. Reassure me that You are cheering me on in the Name of Jesus.

Lord, I plead in Your mercy, increase my strength so that I do not faint in the day of adversity. Help me to cultivate strong spiritual muscles from now on in the Name of Jesus.

Ah, Lord, help me not to be a weakling daughter of a warrior in the Name of Jesus.

Father, I ask in Your mercy, awaken my spirit to always discern the spiritual climate around me. Make me vigilant and watchful in the Name of Jesus.

Lord, I plead in Your mercy, help me to daily put on the whole armor of God, that I may stand firm against the wiles of the devil in the Name of Jesus.

Lord, cover me with Your divine protection. Shield me from all harm and danger in the Name of Jesus.

Father, I ask in Your mercy, place a hedge of protection around me and my family. Keep us safe from spiritual and physical threats from this day forward in the Name of Jesus.

Lord, I plead in Your mercy, make me into a warrior fit for Your kingdom in the Name of Jesus. Oh, make me a warrior, Lord.

Father, remind me that my battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil. Help me to from this day forward focus on the true enemy in the Name of Jesus.

Lord, fill me with the Holy Spirit. Let His power flow through me, enabling me to be a mighty warrior for Your kingdom in the Name of Jesus.

Lord, give me a warrior’s heart, bold and courageous in the face of adversity. Take away this weakling heart, Lord, and create a fighter’s heart within me in the Name of Jesus.

Lord, grant me discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and the wisdom to counter them effectively in the Name of Jesus.

Lord, I ask in Your mercy, help me to maintain spiritual fitness through consistent prayer, fasting, and studying Your Word in the Name of Jesus.

Lord, make me sensitive to the leading of Your Spirit. Guide my steps and direct my actions in every battle in the Name of Jesus.

Father, please help me to overcome any weaknesses that may hinder my effectiveness as a warrior in Your kingdom in the Name of Jesus. Oh, make me fit Lord. Daddy, cut me to size.

Lord, grant me the endurance to keep fighting, even when the battle is long and hard in the Name of Jesus.

Keep praying as the Lord leads you.
