JUICY JULY 2023
DAY 1
THEME: FLIGHT FROM EGYPT
TEXT: Exodus 19:4
BIBLE READING: Luke 15:11–32
It is our year of Juicy Perfection! This year, we turned seven good years. That alone is a reason enough to ensure we get the best out of this year. Not only that, the way this year started on a miraculous note for us is proof that God has enough in store for every BUD who would pray! Do you remember how it all started?
It was first an idea for a movie shoot. The funds started trickling in, we thought we would never be able to achieve it. Then, before we knew it, the funds started to gush in for the support of the project and the movieshoot came to a reality. We were able to raise a huge sum of money for the project, we had our movie launch and so on. Just within these last six months, the Lord has done so much for us in the family and in us. Hallelujah! This is surely our year!
Say it confidently with me: THIS YEAR IS MY YEAR!
And do you remember what the Lord prophesied into our year in February, during our anniversary? I will remind you in case you have forgotten it or in case you had taken His Word to us too lightly. Now as I remind you, make sure you tarry with Jesus till these promises become a reality in your life. Amen?
The Lord promised us that 2023 is:
- Our year of rest
- Our year of juicy perfection
- Our year of change of raiment
- Our year of light
- Our year of gladness
- Our year of joy
- Our year of honor
- Our year of feasts
- Our year of good days
Can you take each one and begin to say:
Oh Lord, I key into Your promise with The BUD Family that this is our year of rest. May this promise be translated into REALITY in my life in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Do this for each of them. Amen?
When you are done, continue.
.
Let us take our first song for today before we go on. It is titled :
‘Come Again’ by Elevation Worship:
So, I’ll wait for You to come
I’ll wait for You to come
‘Cause when I’m with You Lord
It always leaves me wanting more
Here’s our praise, You can dwell within
Come again, come again
Let the glory in
I’m open, I’m open
Come again, let the glory in
I’m open, I’m open
I’ll wait for You to come
I’ll wait (yeah) for You to come
(‘Cause when I’m with You)
When I’m with You Lord
It always leaves me wanting more (say it)
Here’s our praise, You can dwell within
(Come) come again, (come again) come again
(Let the glory in) let the glory in
(I’m open) I’m open, I’m open
(Oh, come again) come again
(Jesus, come again) let the glory in
(I’m open) I’m open, (I’m open) I’m open
(I’m open) I’m open, I’m open

(I’m open) I’m open
(Woah-oh, oh-oh) Woah-oh, oh-oh
And I’ll wait for You to come, hey
I’ll wait for You to come
(‘Cause when I’m with You)
When I’m with You Lord
It always leaves me wanting more
(Here’s our praise)
Here’s our praise, You can dwell within
(Say, come again) come again, (come again) come again
(Let the glory in) let the glory in
(Say, I’m open) I’m open, (I’m open) I’m open
(Come again) come again
(Let the glory in) let the glory in
(I’m open) I’m open, (I’m open) I’m open
It’s every room, every part
Every room, every part of me
It’s where You wanna live
It’s where You wanna be
You wanna dwell right here with me
It’s not a building You wanna fill, it’s my heart
This empty space is what You wanted all along
It’s not a building You wanna fill, it’s my heart
This empty space is what You wanted all along, yeah
It’s not a building You wanna fill, it’s my heart, yeah
This empty space is what You wanted all along, hey

This empty space is what You wanted all along (You love when I’m empty)
You love when I’m empty, yeah
You love when I’m empty (You love when I’m empty)
You love when I’m empty
Just when I don’t have enough (You love when I’m empty)
Just when I don’t have enough (You love when I’m empty)
When I don’t have anything else to lean on (You love when I’m empty)
When I don’t have anything else to lean on (You love when I’m empty)
You love when I’m empty (You love when I’m empty)
You love when I’m empty (You love when I’m empty)
When I don’t know the answers (You love when I’m empty)
When I don’t have the solution (You love when I’m empty)
You love when I’m empty (You love when I’m empty)
‘Cause you do miracles with empty things (You love when I’m empty)
Yes, You do miracles with empty things (You love when I’m empty)
You do miracles with empty things (You love when I’m empty)
You do miracles with empty things (You love when I’m empty)
(It’s not a building) it’s not a building You wanna fill, it’s my heart
This empty space is what You wanted all along
(It’s what You wanted all along)
It’s not a building You wanna fill, it’s my heart
This empty space is what You wanted all along, hey
Is what You wanted all along (is what You wanted all along)
Is what You wanted all along (is what You wanted all along)
Is what You wanted all along (is what You wanted all along)
Is what You wanted all along (is what You wanted all along)
I’m what You wanted all along
I’m what You wanted all along
I’m what You wanted all along
Come on, tell Him
It’s okay to be bold like that (I’m what You wanted all along)
You love me (I’m what You wanted all along)
I’m what You wanted all along
(I’m what You wanted all along)
You can fill me (I’m what You wanted all along)
I’m open, I’m open
Come again, let the glory in
I’m open, (I’m open) I’m open
(Come again) come again
(Come again) let Your glory in
I’m open, (I’m open) I’m open
(Oh, come again) come again
(Let Your glory in) let Your glory in
I’m open, I’m open
Welcome back!
.
Let’s see what the Lord has for us. I pray that your heart is calm and ready to receive from the Lord in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.
STUCK IN EGYPT
The Lord had great plans for the children of Israel but there they were, stuck in the middle of Egypt! The Egypt that their fathers, Jacob, Joseph and his brothers had brought them into! These men were long dead but their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren were still there, struggling and laboring in the Egypt they were brought into.
The children of the King were there in slavery to the sons of bondage!
The children of the promise were there hopeless and helpless, serving the accursed people of Egypt!
The head had become a tail!
The beginning had become the end!
The beautiful had become the ugly!
The loved had become the hated!
The very children of the Lord were far from freedom. They were far from rest. They were enslaved and it seemed as though no one could rescue them from the great hands of the great pharaoh!
Slavery is such a bad thing. When we are slaves to something, it rudely takes our time, our peace, rest, joy, energy, talent- everything- without any apology. It will even take these good things from us and still expect us to say ‘Thank you!’ as if it was doing us any privilege at all.
Slavery!
Similarly, many Christians are still in Egypt today. The Egypt that is not making them serve the Lord well. Egypt is inhibiting their growth in all ramifications.
FREE INDEED
When you saw the theme of this year’s Juicy July, I guess you must have asked yourself what you needed to be free from. It might seem to you as though this edition of Juicy July is not for you since you are free and not in bondage of any kind. But I am here to tell you that not everyone who walks around free is actually free! To even shock you, everyone is under one yoke or the other! Oh yes! There is no one walking on the streets of this world who is totally free. Well, before you think I am being heretic, let me show you from the Scriptures:
Matthew 11:28 says: Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
See? You are either carrying the yokes and burdens of this world/Satan or you are bearing the yokes and burdens of the Saviour!
And no matter how we try to see it, the majority of the whole world hasn’t entered into the soulish rest promised in the verse above. Majority are still laboring under the tasking, heavy, slavish bondages, burdens and yokes of Egypt- of the Devil!
This month, we shall not only be free, we shall be free indeed in the mighty Name of Jesus!
Now, personalize that:
This month, I shall not only be free, I shall be free indeed in the mighty Name of Jesus!
This month, my family shall not only be free, we shall be free indeed in the mighty Name of Jesus!

WHAT IS FREEDOM?
- Freedom is the ability to act at will
- It is the state of being unrestricted or unencumbered by external forces, limitations, or barriers. It is the absence of constraints or impediments that allow individuals to act, think, and express themselves freely.
- Freedom is the ability to make choices and decisions without coercion or undue influence.
These are all online definitions. But from my own experience with Christ and from His Word to us however, freedom is deeper than these.
So, what does it mean to be really free indeed?
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE FREE INDEED?
To be free indeed is:
- A state of being completely free from the yokes, dictates, desires and burdens of the evil people of this world.
- A state of being totally free from the power of self and the flesh.
- A state of being free from negative family patterns and generational troubles.
- A state of entering into the rest that only Christ gives.
- A state of being controlled only by and being answerable only to the Holy Spirit!
- A state of doing exactly what the Lord wants us to do, where He wants us to do it, how, when and with whom He wants us to do it.
- A state of daily walking in victory over the Devil and all his wiles and being a threat to his kingdom.
With these expositions we have had above, you know just like I do that we need a divine touch. We need to be free indeed!
We shall be praying very shortly but before then; shall we take another worship? This is titled:
‘I’m free’ by Lynda Randle.
So long, I searched for life’s meaning-
Enslaved by the world and my greed-
Then the door of my prison was opened by love-
For the ransom was paid-
I was free!
I’m free from the fear of tomorrow-
I’m free from the guilt of my past-Woooh!
I’ve traded my shackles for a glorious song-
I’m free- Praise the Lord, free at last!
I am free from the guilt that I carried-
From the dull empty life- I’m set free-
For when I met Jesus he made me complete
He forgot the foolish child I used to be-
I’m free from the fear of tomorrow
I’m free from the guilt of my past-Oh
Oh! I traded my shackles for a glorious song-
I’m free! Praise the Lord, free at last!
OOOH! I’ve traded my shackles for a glorious song!
I’m free, Praise the Lord free at last!!
HALLELUYAH!

I won’t forget, the wonder of how You brought
Deliverance, the exodus of my heart

You found me, You freed me
Held back the waters for my release

Lord of every victory
Hallelujah, hallelujah
You have torn apart the sea
You have led me through the deep
Hallelujah, hallelujah
[Verse 2]
A cloud by day, is a sign that You are with me
The fire by night, is a guiding light to my feet
[Pre-Chorus]
‘Cause You found me, You freed me
Held back the waters for my release
Oh Yahweh
[Chorus]
You’re the God who fights for me
Lord of every victory

[Interlude]
[Bridge]
‘Cause You stepped into my Egypt
And You took me by the hand
And You marched me out in freedom
Into the promised land
And now I will not forget You
I’ll sing of all You’ve done
Death is swallowed up forever
By the fury of Your love
‘Cause You stepped into my Egypt
And You took me by the hand
You marched me out in freedom
Into the promised land
Now I will not forget You
I’ll sing of all You’ve done
Death is swallowed up forever
By the fury of Your love
[Chorus]
You’re the God who fights for me
Lord of every victory
Hallelujah, hallelujah
You have torn apart the sea
You have led me through the deep
Hallelujah, hallelujah
And You’re the God who fights for me
Lord of every victory
Hallelujah, hallelujah
You have torn apart the sea
You have led me through the deep
Hallelujah, hallelujah
[Interlude]
Come on there’s freedom in this house today, there’s joy in this place
Can you prophesy with me? You stepped in
[Outro]
‘Cause You stepped into my Egypt
You took me by the hand
And You marched me out in freedom
Straight into the promised land
Now I will not forget You

Death is swallowed up forever
By the fury of Your love
