JUICY JULY: 5 TIPS FOR GETTING IN THE PRAYER MODE

Personally, I am right in that mode of prayer. My heart is swelling within me for something huge that is coming. I am praying in the Spirit. I am excited. I am happy, listening to prayer songs and getting the atmosphere set. But maybe you are not in the mood yet. Maybe you don’t have the excitement yet. Maybe you are still indecisive about how you will wait on the Lord for a whole month. Well, this is why I am here. I am here to encourage you to seize this opportunity!

This Juicy July isn’t the normal one. This is the seventh year of The BUD Family International. You can imagine how covenanted this Juicy July is. So, don’t play around. This is that kind of Shiloh that brings Samuel about! Ayayayayaaa! I feel it deeply within me! The Spirit bears witness within me that this is a covenanted season for The BUD Family and all that is associated with her. Better key in! Better get in!

5 TIPS TO GETTING IN THE PRAYER MODE

1. Start playing anointed prayer tunes.

The one I am listening to at the moment is ‘I will stay’ by Dunsin Oyekan. You can also listen to it. You can wear a headphone and just be lost in the tunes.

2. Start praying in the Spirit if you are baptized in the Holy Spirit.

โ€œHe who speaks in a tongue edifies himself.โ€ 1 Corinthians 14:4. Speaking in tongues can help you express what is in your spirit and which you cannot express with words. Stay praying in the Spirit and soon enough, your spirit will open up! Halleluyah!

3. Get rid of fire extinguishers.

Get rid of those spirit fire extinguishers. That sad mood, that next episode of movie, that gist with friends and family, that mountain of food, that sleep, that dirty phone call that is knocking- block them all off now! Jesus would usually always pull aside to the mountain to concentrate because you know what, the Holy Spirit doesn’t allow roommates! He has the whole room of your heart to Himself or none at all!

4. Command your spirit to open up!

Galatians 5:17 says: For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Oh my! You want to pray. You desire to love the Lord. You love to be intimate with the Lord. But you are weak. Your spirit is sleeping. It is willing but it can’t rise above the flesh. The flesh keeps winning over it. Ah, that’s not good at all! Now, be violent and fight that flesh. Tell it to get out of the way! And command your spirit to open up. The best song that comes to mind which you can use for this is ‘Open up’ by Dunsin Oyekan. Sing it till your patched, dry spirit opens up and connects to the Spirit of the Lord. Amen.

5. Start binding the Devil and all his works against you!

You cannot be ignorant of the ignorant of the devices of the Devil. The last thing the devil wants is for you to be free and you can be sure he’d try to stop you! Ayayaayayayaya! The Bible says in James 4:7 that- ‘Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you’. Now, start resisting him. Start confessing with your mouth that you cannot be stopped. Start commanding him to leave you ‘IN THE NAME OF JESUS!’ He must obey!

SAY THIS LOUD AND CLEAR: I am not ignorant of your devices oh Thou enemy of my soul, Satan! But concerning this Juicy July prayer programme journey that I am embarking on, you cannot stop me! You can not hinder me! I stand in the Name of Jesus against all the evil plans you are concocting against me and I declare they shall not prosper against me or my loved ones! For this reason, was Lord manifested that He might destroy the works of the Devil! All works and plans of the Devil to weaken my faith, make me mourn, make me sick, make me deflated in the Spirit, I invite the fire of the Holy Spirit upon you now! Fail and burn to ashes in the Name of Jesus!

I am set free to pray through this Juicy July!ย  (14x)
