Hello sisters! Good day!

Welcome to the third day of the Juicy July program, I believe the Lord has started great things in our lives already.

Today, we will be looking at *BE STILL AND KNOW…*

Our text today begins with a description of who our God is. It is a quick reminder to you about who your Maker is. In times of old, God reveals Himself to men based on their encounters with Him.

To Moses: God was revealed as the “I Am that I Am.” Genesis 3:14

To the children of Israel as “Jehovah M’Kaddesh” (the God who sanctifies). Leviticus 20:8

To Abraham as “Jehovah Jireh” (the God who provides). Genesis 22:9-14

And it goes on and on like that.

One important thing however is that in every situation they found themselves there was a part of God that was revealed to work for them.

Little wonder why the Psalmist understood what God represents for Him even in the midst of so many troubles. So for every situation you pass through, God is set to reveal and make known an aspect of Himself to you!

Just as He will do today.

God our Refuge signifies Him as a place of safety, protection and shelter. HE is also a place where you can turn to for assistance. (Read that again).

Our world today is characterized with troubles and difficulties, you can hardly turn on the TV without news of unrest staring right at you. Nowhere is safe- even places that were once termed ‘safe regions’ have lost that title.

There is this tempest in our heart, fears, anxieties, perplexity and uncertainty.

What is happening to our world? What is happening in our country?

The mother is scared for her children and the children for their parents. The husband is anxious when the wife is taking too long to get home and the wife is destabilized because husband isn’t answering his calls.

But we seem to have forgotten something

Or we are forgetting what His word says👇🏼

*Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof*

So, make noise all you want ye heathens
Turn the world upsidedown all you desire
Make all the troubles you desire
Oh let the sea roar at the top of it voice

It means nothing to me, Blessing, it mean nothing to me. You know why? Because👇🏼

*God is in the midst of her (put your name here); she shall not be moved, God shall help her, and that right early!*

*The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge*

But sister Blessing, didn’t you hear of the kidnappings happening everywhere; even the bandits are increasing; COVID 19 is resurfacing with increasing numbers daily; even death tolls are greatly increasing.

Oh I hear!
I even see it on the news!
But have you also seen what I saw today?
Oyah see it👇🏼

*Psalms  46:9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.*

Kai!🔥🔥🔥 (Pray in the Spirit).

GOD our Refuge!There is also an aspect of God that was mentioned in the text, ‘GOD our Strength.’

Because we are humans, there are times we allow what we see and hear make us fret and as a result we lose our strength. The weight of troubles could make us feel weak, tired and lack willingness to continue. At this point, not only does our spirit feels weak even our body respond to that weakness.

What is that constant roaring of the Devil in your life that has made you lose all strength?

What represents that mountain of difficulty always confronting and leaving you helpless?

What is that situation that has become like a trademark associated with you that whenever it strikes you bow completely to it?

Who represents that giant of trouble that throws you down all the time?

It all ends today!

Because, God our Strength is here to breath upon us!

He is here to make that mountain crumble

To see that giant fall right at your feet

To cease that troublous wind!

To fight the battle for you!

*46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.*

Mind you sisters, being still does not mean you should be quiet.

Being still means:

Do not focus on the weight, height or degree of the trouble

Do not be confused or perplexed

Do not fret nor be scared

It means remain calm even when the situation calls for unrest!

Jesus was right there in the boat when the tempest arose in Mark chapter 4. He wasn’t worried because He knew He could not die on the sea! The sea isn’t capable of swallowing our Lord!

Stay calm beloved? That sea of trouble cannot drown you!

That mountain of problems cannot crush you!

No, you cannot die!

Let there be stillness in your heart but open up your mouth and rebuke that wind of trouble now!

Enough is enough!

The Devil has joked with our peace for too long!

Enough of the troubles in our heart already!

We take no more chances with him!

How can we be scared of him?

How can he steal our peace?

Little raging and your heart is all troubled.

You live in constant fear of the unknown

Don’t you know that fear is from the pit of hell?

Enough is enough!
We negotiate no more!
We bargain no more!

The Devil troubles my life no more!
I fear no more!

There is stillness!
There is calmness!
There is peace!

ARE YOU READY TO PRAY?

Begin to worship God for what He is set to do in your life. Oh, appreciate Him for what He is doing already!

Appreciate God for the revelation of Him as our Refuge and Strength.

Now, place your hand on your chest, call your name instructively and sing this song if you know it!

Blessing,

Abba Father, every mountain of troubles confronting my life right now, I command it to be leveled!

Let there be an heavenly blast upon that mountain now! Breaking it into pieces and melting it completely!

Oh God, there is a storm in my life (mention what the storm is to Him). Storms too heavy for me, I hand it over to You Father.
Command Your calmness upon this storm Lord!

Father, reveal Yourself to me as my Refuge! Let me find safety in You!
Safety for me!
Safety for my family!

Father, I refuse to bow to that trouble from today henceforth! That trouble always confronting me bows out of my life right now!

Father, make war on my behalf! Fight this battle for me (mention the battle to Him).
Fight for our nation oh Lord!

Defend us Abba Father.
Defend us from the hands of terrible men!

Oh God, let the wars seize!
Let the killings seize!
Let the unrest stop!
Break their bows and cut their spears asunder!
Burn with fire their instruments of war!

Continue to pray as the Spirit gives utterance.
