DAY 2: THE FORCE THAT MOVES MOUNTAINS
TEXTS: Matthew 21:21; Matthew 17:20, James 1:6
BIBLE STUDY: Matthew 8
It’s day 2 of our fast. I want to believe you prayed very well yesterday and you’ve started squeezing out the juice. All we have prayed about is so in the Name of Jesus!
Today is another very beautiful day! Have you read the text?
If you have, you should be able to tell what force I am talking about in the topic.
What is that force that can move mountains and equally move the hands of God?
Can you?
It is the only force that is both a fruit of the Spirit and a Gift of the Spirit!
Without it, we cannot please God!
Do you know it now?
Oh, Great!!!
FAITH it is!
We will be looking at this force today but before we do that, let us take a very powerful and popular hymn together:
Sing with your whole heart. God will inhabit your worship!
TITLE: I KNOW WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED.
1) I know not why God’s wondrous grace to me is daily shown, nor why with mercy, Christ in love
redeemed me for his own.

Oh Lord, speak to my heart today. Charge me, Lord! Help my unbelief! Increase my faith! Give me that gift of faith that I may please You continually. Thank You Jesus for answering me. For I have prayed in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
Today, we will looking at and praying for one important ingredient needed in this journey. Juicy July would come and go without you getting anything great if you don’t possess this force!
F-A-I-T-H!
First and foremost, we need to understand that this ongoing spiritual exercise requires a great degree of faith before we can see results!
We need to understand that without faith, it will be difficult to move God’s Hands.
The Scriptures even tells us that “Without faith, it is impossible to please God.”
If truly you want to get the best, then you need to activate your faith.
What percentage is your faith level?
1%, 50% or 100%.
Maybe you are thinking “WELL, LET ME JUST JOIN THIS PRAYER, MAYBE GOD WILL ANSWER MY PRAYERS”
Remove the maybe!!!
The ‘maybe’ is contrary to faith!
And you need a measure of faith to move God’s hand!
Those mountains in your life need the push of faith! That is the most potent bulldozer ever!
A little faith is even mightier than all the bulldozers of this world put together!
We all need mountain-moving faith!
We need faith that moves God’s Hands!
The purpose of mountain-moving faith is to remove the things which come into our lives to hinder us spiritually, mentally, financially or physically.
Some people believe that this promise only pertains to spiritual mountains, however, in Matthew 21:21, Jesus used faith-filled words to cause a fig tree to wither from the roots and die. That was natural, not spiritual.
In Mark 11:22-26, Jesus said, “whosoever,” so this is for the believer, not just for the pastor or someone with some kind of special calling.
You have the potential to operate in the same faith that I have!
We have the potential to operate in the same faith that Jesus operated in while on earth!
Isn’t that amazing???
He also said, “When you stand praying, forgive.” Operating in mountain-moving faith is dependent upon operating in forgiveness. Faith pleases God, but faith works by love (Galatians 5:6).
It is impossible to please God and to hold something in your heart against someone at the same time. *You forgive because you choose to forgive and because it pleases God, not because you feel like doing it.*
From the above, we can see that the faith that works is the faith that is:
1. fully trusting.
2. forgiving
3. full of love.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN FAITH IS ABSENT?
1) When there is no faith, there will be fear: Many pray and do not receive answers simply because they are bound by fear. And fear is a resultant effect of lack of faith.
Many are afraid of what had happened in the past or what the future holds. And this is because they have not yet come to trust that God has truly forgotten their past and that their future is gloriously secured in His hands. They are afraid of whether their prayers will even be heard.
2) Where there is no faith, there will be doubt: Doubt is when one is uncertain about something.
When we don’t trust God enough, it shows that we are uncertain about Him.
Before one can receive anything from anyone, there has to be a degree of certainty that one will get that thing.
When you go and meet you rich daddy, you are sure as you go that he give you that thing.
Why not go to God the same way? He is even better than your dad and mine!
Go on your knees in prayers that ‘SURE! My God will do it! He only wants me to ask, that’s all!’
Are you certain about God’s ability?
Do you trust God?
A doubtful person can not receive from God!
Matthew 21:21 says ‘Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and DO NOT DOUBT, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”
That invariably means to move any mountain, no matter the size, you need faith!
3) Where there is no faith, there will be lack of confidence: When you don’t have absolute trust in something, then you won’t be confident about it.
1 John 4:14,15 says
“And this is the confidence that we have In him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
BABES, if you do not have substantial faith, it will be difficult for you to confidently table your requests before God.
You would just be like ‘Don’t let me trouble God with this request, it is too small. Don’t let me go to God with this one, it is too big. This one, I think I should take to him. If He wills, He will do it for me. No need to start praying about it. What if He doesn’t do it?’
No confidence in His Faithfulness!
You can’t get anything from God that way!
The question now is:’ HOW STRONG IS YOUR FAITH?’
Do you think you have GREAT faith that will allow you squeeze out all the juices?
Are you sure a little fear is not lurking at the corner of your heart?
Are you sure you are not having some doubts in your mind?
Or maybe you just want to participate in the fast because you also want to feel among, not because you are confident that you will receive something from God?
BABES, I need to tell you that it will take FAITH to move mountains.
Today, you need to pray for a mountain shaking faith. Pray with all your heart and answers will come speedily in Jesus Name

PART 2
Begin to ask God for pardon and forgiveness.
(Before faith, the number one thing that needs to be dealt with is SIN. *Because no matter how strong your faith is, SIN will hinder you from getting answers to your prayers.*)
Confess all of your sins to the Lord.
Ask for forgiveness over all the sins.
Ask for mercy and pardon for times when you have doubted Him.
Ask for mercy for times when you have allowed fear to doubt what God can do.
PART 3
Pray these prayers assuredly.
1) Oh Lord, increase my
faith! (7x. Your eyes shut!)
2) Oh Lord, I choose to trust you wholeheartedly, help my unbelief (21x)
3) Oh Lord, I want to have a walk of faith with you, trust me and hold my hands lest I stray (Pray vehemently)
4) Heavenly Father, give me a heart that trusts absolutely in you.
5) I cast out every spirit of doubt and unbelief in my life out by your fire in Jesus Name. (2x)
6) Father, give me a heart of faith in your word so that I will believe every promise you have for me.
7) Father, give me a child-like faith that easily believes and trusts so that I can trust you blindly as my Father in Jesus name.
8) Father, give me a faith that sees beyond my problems and sees only you as the One who specializes in solving problems.
9) Almighty God, let me be strong and hold firm to my confessions of faith in you. Let me demonstrate absolute confidence and believe that you will definitely grant all my requests in Jesus Name.
