It’s Day 2, sisters! Glory to Yahweh, for starting with us, so powerfully yesterday.

 

And today is another explosive time of release in His Presence. And I pray that all GOD has in mind for us, we will receive in Jesus’ Name.

Today, by the grace of God, we will be considering the topic: ASK FOR SHOWERS; NOT DEWS!

 

Before going any further, we need to understand the words: ‘showers’ and ‘dews’.

 

We all know that ‘dew’ is a kind of wetness that settles, most especially in the morning, on plants. It gives a kind of light refresh on them. But, after some time, especially when the sun is up, the dew gradually dissipates, till the plant is dry again.

 

See sisters, we are just like the plants in the above illustration. When we gain entrance into the household of God, through the new birth, we are babes, who daily request for dews; just early in the morning refreshing upon our lives, which obviously will not sustain us throughout the day.

 

But as we keep growing in our walk with God, He begins to call us into something deeper. He calls us to step up from requesting for dews but to enter into His showers.

 

Besides, dews only fall on the topmost part of the plant. It does not get to the root of that plant. And this is how it is in our lives as well. When we ask for dews, they drop on the peripheral surface of our lives, just what we request for.

 

But when we talk of ‘shower’, oh my, it is an outpouring, an overflowing, an overwhelming, a release, etc, that soaks, drenches, drains, penetrates into the deepest part, that is, the root of the plant.

 

We all know how it feels to be beaten by a downpour of rain, right? You get soaked, all your clothes get wet, even to your inners. Everything you put on, carry with you, and have around you that time gets affected by the rain.

 

You know if you do not take care of yourself almost immediately, you may nurse the aftermath of the effect of the downpour, which is cold, for days, if not weeks.

 

This is how it is supposed to be with us, spiritually too. That we do not recover from the effect of the showers, even after the Juicy July.

 

Kai!

 

Sisters, why should you settle for dews on a daily basis, when GOD Himself has promised us showers? We can’t just be living on temporal, short-term blessings, when we have been given the keys to possessing overflowing abundance, on a daily basis.

 

And that is why GOD deemed it fit for us and thought it sweetly of us, to usher us into His showers, for the rest of the year and even beyond, during this year’s Juicy July, by putting it out to us and saying: ‘My daughters, request for showers; enough of dews.’

 

See what Psalms 2:8 says: “Ask of Me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.”

 

Kai, sisters!!!

 

And this is what we are going to be doing all through this month.

Now, let us look at our text.

 

Zechariah 10:1 – Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

 

GOD says we should ask Him for rain, not rain drops. Kai. He said He will give showers of rain, not dews o, my sisters.

 

See, GOD has given us the blank cheque; our own duty all through this program is just to do what, to ask. ASK FOR SHOWERS!

 

Dews will not sustain. Dews won’t last long.

 

As for me, I am tired of experiencing dews in my life. I want showers, of increase, abundance, fruitfulness, divine settlement, overflowing miracles, overwhelming breakthroughs, and jaw-breaking testimonies.

 

I don’t know about you, sisters.

 

See, it is God’s desire for us in The BUD Family that every day, we are greeted with floods of outstanding testimonies of the wonders and miracles of GOD.

 

And that is what He is set to do. I pray we will all be partakers in Jesus’ Name.

 

AMEN.

 

 

Now, let us take a clue from our first song, for a deeper understanding.

 

You know, as believers, when we pray, we are releasing floods of blessings from the Throne of GOD, right? If we now add fasting, kai, it is like increasing the torrent, frequency, and speed of flow of the answers to those prayers into our lives.

 

But there are ‘gates’, that limit the flow of the flood of God’s blessings, into our lives.

 

They act as shields, protecting us from being touched!

 

They act like umbrellas, protecting our showers from reaching down to us!

 

What kind of evil protections are those? They just must be pushed out of the way!

 

You know, some gates don’t mind if we keep getting dews o, that is not a problem to them. But when we talk about showers, they say Lailai faabada! (Never! God forbid!) They don’t just want showers to reach down to us, so they start to shield the flows from reaching us.

 

Shout this very deeply, sisters!

 

Every evil gate the Devil has mounted or is mounting around my life, shielding me from being drenched with great flows of blessings from on high, Holy Ghost Fire, break them down now by the Fire of the Holy Spirit in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

 

Shout again:

 

Every power that says I can enjoy dews and drops but not showers and rains, I subdue you now by fire in the Name of Jesus! Lose your hold over my life now in the Mighty Name of Jesus! (Lose your hold!!! 14x)

 

 

AMEN, sisters!

 

To get the gates open, we will need to pray to a certain degree, where the torrents of the flood, will be so powerful, that their force alone will be greater than the strength of the gates, standing in the way; and it will open!

 

 

Kaaaaayaaaa!

 

Say very vibrantly, sisters:

 

Those barricading gates must open up today! Barricading gates are broken down today in the Name of Jesus!

 

Psalms 24:9 says ‘Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.’

 

Oh my! Gates must be lifted! Doors must obey! Why? Because we command them in the Name of the King of Glory!!! The God of the Showers! The Controller of the floodgates! Halleluyah! Amen!

 

Kai! And when the gates fling open, what rushes out? Flood! Sisters, the flood the gates had prevented from entering into your life a long time ago would simply have no choice but to rush in! And as they rush in, testimonies upon testimonies begin to rush into your life! Halleluyah!

 

Flood! A great outpouring! An overflow!- that will leave you soaked, drenched, drained! With such penetrations that will enter into every corner of your life, and reach every aspect of your soul.

 

Sisters, this is why we have to cry out to GOD:

 

‘Oh LORD, ride on Jesus, let it rain! Until I am soaked in and with the showers, don’t stop releasing.’

 

Dear sisters, we must pray o.

 

Remember, the Bible says: ‘Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.’ But I will love to add, don’t just open your mouth wide, “Open your heart wide”, as well.

 

You know, some people short-change themselves in the place of prayers. Their mouth will be saying: ‘and for the showers, I plead’, but their heart will still be holding on to: ‘let the dew of heaven fall upon my thirsty soul.’ Forgetting that, GOD looks at the state of our hearts.

 

And of course, He grants it to them. But, after the dews fall, and their thirst is temporarily satisfied, won’t they get thirsty again? Of course, they will.

 

Instead of asking for dews, my dear sisters, ask for showers that will have a lasting effect on your life, family, ministry, career, profession, future, marriage…just name it.

 

I pray that GOD will help us during this season, to maximize the opportunity we have been given to ask well, in Jesus’ Name.

 

Funny enough, another set of people request showers, but they are afraid of receiving them.

 

Kai!

 

They feel, that when the release comes, it will hit them so strongly, that they may not be able to bear it.

 

Ah! Don’t let the devil deceive you, my sisters.

 

Arise, get up and knock off or knock out that fear, doubt, and unbelief. That voice that whispers to you, and asks you: ‘Can it be true?’ ‘Will it really happen?’ ‘If it will happen, how will it come?’, shut it up; silence it, in the Name of Jesus.

 

Get rid of those thoughts, and ask GOD to strengthen your faith to accept, believe, and receive.

 

Open up your heart, sisters!

 

Open up every department of your life to GOD, dear sisters.

 

Tell GOD to enlarge your coast and capacity, to be able to accommodate and welcome the showers.

 

Pull down your old barns and storehouses, and build bigger and larger ones, creating more room for the outpouring.

 

Kai! With these, GOD will know you mean business, and you are ready for Him, as much as He is ready for you.

 

Be intentional about it, sisters!

 

I pray God will help us!

 

As for me, I’m asking for showers of rain.

 

So, we will be using today, to prepare our hearts in readiness for what is still yet to come, in subsequent days.

Say these prayers powerfully, from the depth of your heart:

 

Oh LORD, I’m tired of dews! Truly, it is refreshing, but it doesn’t satisfy. And it does not last long. And now, You have given me an open cheque, to request for showers. Here I am, LORD, nothing else, but the showers.

 

Showers, I want! Showers, I desire! Showers, I ask! Showers, I plead! Showers, I cry! Showers, I request! Showers, I need! Release it upon me, in the Name of Jesus.

 

Oh LORD, enlarge my coast, widen my capacity, to be able to receive, accommodate and welcome the release of the outpouring, that is set to come upon my life in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

 

Oh LORD, my Father, prepare me by Yourself, both physically and spiritually, to be flooded. Kai! LORD, open up my spirit man, of Your own accord, and fill me up with Your strength, to receive in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

 

Oh Lord, I am tired of dews! Let it rain on me heavily from this day forward in the Mighty Name of Jesus!!! (7x)

 

Oh Lord I am tired of managing and enduring, set me up for a great breakthrough in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

 

Oh Lord, Soak me! Drench me! Drain me! Immerse me! Wet me! Overshadow me! Dip me deeper into your showers! Do not release me, until You are done, LORD. Help me not to struggle with You, in the Name of Jesus.

 

Faithful Father, help my heart to be in agreement with my mouth. Let the desires of my heart, match the confession of my mouth, so that there will be a manifestation, in the Name of Jesus.

 

Channels of my spirit, open up in the Name of Jesus. I command you ‘Ephphatha’, be opened. (Ephphata, open up! 21x)

 

You spirit of valleys, get out of my life now forever in the Name of Jesus!

 

You spirit of lows and downs, enough is enough, I disgrace you out of my life now in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

 

You gates blocking my breakthroughs from locating me, I curse you with Heavenly ammunitions now in the Name of Jesus! Blow open! (14x)

 

Oh Lord, help me never to settle for good when You have best prepared for me in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ!
