TOPIC: TOUCH ME OH LORD, FROM HEAD TO TOES

TEXT: JEREMIAH 1:9; LUKE 7:14-15; MARK 1:41-42

BIBLE STUDY: ROMANS 12

TESTIMONY HIGHLIGHT

Let us read through these testimonies before we start. May your own testimony also arrive speedily and gloriously to the Glory of the Lord alone in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

TESTMONY 1: Good day mama, I am the same person that sent one of the prayer request that was posted on our bulletin today. It was concerning a particular family that was kidnapped, requesting the house to join me in prayers for the release of the remaining children after the first child was killed in the presence of the mother. This prayer was sent on the 7th and it was posted today being 15th. I just wanted to inform you that few days after sending in the prayer request, the news got to us that the children have been released after the parents paid a certain amount of money. I am grateful to God for His intervention even before the the prayer request was posted. Thank you so much ma’am.

TESTIMONY 2: Praise God sisters, the devil will not close my mouth. I’ve been having the feeling of(it isn’t big, so don’t share yet until the big one comes, but I decided that I’ll be given testimony daily whether it is big or not My Father Must be glorified in my Life). So twas on I think day 4 or 5 when we were praying about recreation or strongman, I can’t pin-point and I was praying at work, and all of a sudden I got a feedback, it was as if someone saw me almost free and was about feeding me in that revelation, I jerked up and intensified the prayers, I prayed and gave them my own meal for them. A breath the breath of peace and freshness. Glorrryyyyy.

Also, our house rent at home expired and our landlord knows us as one who pay before our rent expires. But this year came by April and we couldn’t pay. I and my Mum, infact my family became agitated, afraid at what would happen to our lives next and this was a concern to us all. Every of our moves to pay proved abortive. Infact, recently my brother who does forex and has been saving up so as to sort the money from it lost about 200,000 and it was such a huge concern. My mum even left the house for weeks to her sisters place in another state to avoid shame and embarrassment. And just this morning she called me to say that our Landlord called my brother and asked for my mum. Then he said it’s because of the house rent my mum ran away, then my landlord became shocked and called my aunt’s husband that why would she leave the house and travel for weeks without them even seeing her. That she should have stated it that they could have given her some time, and so they said my mum should come back home, I bless God cos He’s began giving us peace about the issue, and I know He will perfect it by paying it(our rent) for us and pay all our other debt in Jesus name. AMEN.

PRAYER

Praise the Lord for the testimonies. Ask the Lord to take all the glory for them. Ask that the Lord will glorify Himself the more in the lives of the testifiers. And that the Lord will give everyone heartily participating in the Juicy July Prayer programme great testimonies to the glory of His Name. Ask for your own testimonies also.

WHAT IS A TOUCH?

A touch is a physical contact or connection between two beings. It can be an expression of affection, comfort, healing, or transmission of powers and energies. Because touches are transmitters, they can transfer both good or evil.

EVIL TOUCHES

An evil touch is a contact with a negative, demonic, or harmful force. It can manifest through various means and have detrimental effects on a person’s life. The devil is such a copy-copy. Anything he sees the Lord does so well, he imitates. Because he is aware of the amazing powers of the divine touch, he is into the business of transferring rubbish through evil touches also.

The devil uses several means to achieve his schemes. It could be through a simple handshake. One pastor shared an experience of how an agent came around to hs office for an evil assignment but thank God the Holy Spirit alerted him on time. He saw that the hand was not ordinary and if he accepted his handshake, he’d be a ‘goner’! So, the man tried so hard to ensure the pastor shook his hand but he refused blatantly.

It could be through a kiss (like how Judas betrayed the Lord) or a hug.

I don’t know if you saw that video that was making rounds so months or years ago of a woman who targetted the stomach of the bride during their wedding. Oh what an evil world!

Some would put evil rings on their fingers and try to touch your head, make your hair or ‘play’ with your child. Just a little touch like this and many husbands/wives have been snatched away from their spouses.

And all these evil touches do the reverse of what the divine touches do. They bring sicknesses. They instill fear. They lead to spiritual, emnotional and marital bondages. They cause confusion. They bring about division. They introduce darknes and so on.

REVERSING THE EFFECTS OF EVIL TOUCHES

Thank God we are not without hope. In case we are already victims of these terrible touches, we can be free. We just need to:

Engage in Fervent Prayer and Fasting: Jesus taught that certain situations can only be resolved through prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). Thank God for Juicy July. Get rid of those evil effects now, sis!

Repent and Confess our sins: Acknowledge and confess any sins or involvement in ungodly activities. Repentance opens the door for God’s forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9).

Plead the Blood of Jesus: The blood of Jesus as we saw some days back has the power to cleanse, heal, and deliver from all forms of evil (Revelation 12:11), engage the Blood, dear sis.

Renounce and Break the Curses: Verbally renounce any curses or evil covenants. Use the authority in Christ to break their power (Galatians 3:13).

Engage in Spiritual Warfare: Engage in spiritual warfare by using the Word of God and prayer to combat demonic forces (Ephesians 6:12-18).

Engage in Worship and Praise: Worship and praise invite God’s presence and can break the chains of oppression (2 Chronicles 20:22).

Apply Scriptures: Speak and declare God’s Word over your life. The Word of God is powerful and effective in breaking the chains of evil (Hebrews 4:12).

WHAT IS A DIVINE TOUCH?

A divine touch on the other hand is a supernatural contact from God. It is a touch of power, transformation, and healing that brings about significant change in one’s life. This touch is different from an ordinary touch of a friend, spouse, or colleague as it carries the essence of God’s presence and power. It is a touch that transcends the physical and is able to affect the spirit, soul, and body. Hallelujah!

BIBLICAL TOUCHES AND THEIR SIGNIFICANCE

1. Jacob Wrestling with God: Jacob wrestled with an angel and was touched on his hip, resulting in a limp. This encounter transformed Jacob’s identity to Israel, meaning “one who struggles with God” (Genesis 32:24-32). This means that divine touches can lead to a transformation of identity and purpose- and probably even leave a physical mark behind!

2. Isaiah’s Lips Touched by a Seraphim: A seraphim touched Isaiah’s lips with a live coal from the altar, purifying him and commissioning him as a prophet (Isaiah 6:6-7). This touch represents purification and empowerment for divine service.

3. Daniel Touched by an Angel: Daniel was touched by an angel, which strengthened him and gave him understanding of visions (Daniel 10:10-19). Oh how amazing!

Oh God of Mercy, Touch me today in the Mighty Name of Jesus Chrst. (7x)

4.Jesus’s Healing Touches: In Matthew 9:29 – Jesus touched the eyes of the blind men, and they received their sight.

In Mark 7:33-35 also, Jesus touched the ears and tongue of a deaf and mute man, and he was healed!

SCREAM:

Touch me oh Lord and heal me of all my ailments that I know of and the ones that are yet to manifest in the Moghty Name of Jesus Christ.

5. Jesus’ Compassionate Touch: In Mark 1:41-42 – Jesus, moved with compassion, touched the leper and healed him.

In Luke 7:14-15 also, compassion moved the Lord and He touched the bier of the widow’s son, and he was raised from the dead.

SCREAM:

My Father, have mercy upon me. Look upon me in your compassion, oh Lord and touch me for life in the Name of Jesus.

6. God’s Empowering Touch: In Jeremiah 1:9 which is our text for today, God’s touch empowered Jeremiah for ministry. While Jeremiah was saying he was not fit, the Lord made him fit. How? By a touch on his tongue!

SCREAM:

Touch me, my dear Lord that I may be empowered to do all You want me to do for You and be all You’d have me be in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

7. Jesus’ Transformative Touch: In Matthew 17:7, Jesus’ touch dispelled the disciples’ fear. Are you battling with fears, depression, a lingering sin or whatever it may be, that touch from Heaven will transform you into something else- happy, confident, strong, meek, quiet, sweet- you’d be so surprise.

CRY:

Oh Lord, touch me and transform me into everything the Devil does not want me to be in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

8. Jesus’ Resurrecting Touch: Matthew 9:25 – Jesus took the hand of Jairus’ daughter, and she was raised from the dead.

CRY VEHEMENTLY, YOUR HANDS RAISED

Oh dear Lord, my God, touch me, hold me by the hands and pull me from every death, deadness and darkness into your glorious light in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

9. Jesus’ Blessing Touch: In Mark 10:16, Jesus took the children in His arms, put His hands on them, and blessed them.

BEND YOUR HEAD BEFORE THE LORD AND CRY:

Oh Father, I bow before You today, touch me, Lord. Touch me and bless me, my God, I pray in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

SIGNS YOU NEED DIVINE TOUCH

We all need divine touch. If you are married, wouldn’t you want to be touched by your husbands? Of course, the little pat on the buttocks as he passes behind you to the fridge, the gentle squeeze on your neck as you both are having a discussion etc. These touches keep the sparks in the marriage burning high.

However, there are some categories of people who need our touches more. Like a sweet newborn baby, a sick person, a confused, sad person etcc. So, what are the categories of people who need the divine touch urgently?

You who have a longing to know God more deeply and intimately.
You who feel spiritually dry or disconnected and needing a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
You who are seeking renewal and revitalization in your spiritual life.
You who are dealing with chronic illness or any form of physical affliction.
You who are experiencing deep emotional pain, trauma, or distress.
You who are feeling trapped or oppressed by spiritual, emotional, or physical forces.
You who are lacking joy, peace, and fulfillment in life.
You who are needing direction and clarity for major life decisions.
You who are dealing with recurring negative patterns or curses in your family lineage.
You who are struggling with persistent sins or temptations and needing strength to overcome.
You who are feeling called to a higher level of service or ministry and needing God’s empowerment
You who have character problems and can’t get free no matter how hard you try.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU RECEIVE DIVINE TOUCH?

You are healed from illnesses and diseases.
Your broken heart and wounded emotions are restored.
You are delivered from sin and spiritual bondage.
Your character and behavior align more closely with God’s will.
You experience a renewal of your mind and spirit.
You become empowered to live a godly and Christ-centered life.
Lost health, relationships, and opportunities are restored.
Your strength and vitality are renewed.
Broken lives and dreams are rebuilt.
You receive spiritual gifts and abilities for ministry and service.
You gain strength to overcome challenges and obstacles.
You become equipped to fulfill your divine purpose.
You receive assurance of God’s presence and love.
You find comfort in times of trouble and distress.
You experience peace that surpasses all understanding.
You gain clarity on God’s will and purpose for your life.
You receive direction for life decisions and choices.
You are granted wisdom to navigate life’s challenges.
Your spiritual fervor and passion are revived.
You become more sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
Your relationship with God deepens.
You overcome long-standing issues and obstacles.
You experience new levels of success and victory.
You witness the miraculous power of God in your life.
Your trust in God’s promises is strengthened.
You gain confidence in God’s ability to intervene.
You develop boldness to step out in faith.
You have a powerful story of God’s intervention to share with others.
Your testimony serves as an inspiration to others.
You experience an overwhelming sense of joy and contentment.
You find peace that guards your heart and mind.
You feel satisfaction in God’s presence.

HOW ABOUT A TOTAL BODY TOUCH?

How about a total body touch from God, dear sis? How about us not being satisfied with God touching our heads alone, or our ailing hearts etc? How about asking the Lord to touch us from head to toes, dear sis? Oh what a glory will fill our lives then! We will experience complete healing, total restoration, and empowerment from head to toe. All aspects of our being then experiences a holistic transformation then!

So, my dear sisters, this is what we will be doing today. We will be asking the Lord to have mercy upon us in His great compassion and touch us from head to toes. Amen?
