Why has the church been able to cope with methodism and machineries and left out the Holy Spirit? How is it possible that the Church has been deceived to go by a cheaper, ineffective, dead power of determination, zeal, mechanicalism and all instead of the Power of the Holy Spirit? How can the very promise of the Father (Luke 24:49), the One that our Lord and Saviour Jesus came to pave His way so He could indwell us be shoved aside and not harnessed at all?
Oh what a shame! Oh how low the church has fallen! And oh no wonder the church is so powerless, tasteless and being greatly influenced by the world it should be influencing.
But no, we can’t back down! We can’t see what is clearly in the Scriptures like this: the faith of our Fathers; the promise of the Father; what Jesus said would come so He must just have to go (John 16:7); a great opportunity to have God living inside of us; the abundant grace of the Lord to live above sin, self, Satan; the very power, might, ability and life of God- so glaringly and decide to walk away.
No, we can’t see all of these and back out, cowering under the burden of religion. No way!
And this is why we must do what Jesus Christ told His disciples to do when He was to leave. He asked all of them to tarry in the upper chamber to continue to cry for the promise of the Father.
The promise of the Father is the Holy Spirit. He is the power of God. He is the life of God. He is Zoe! The spirit that has been dead since Adam-years ago can now bubble with life. We can now individually sit before Abba Father with no veil in between. Jesus has paid the price, we now must go withdraw the promise! Until the fire falls, we should never rest!
It took the disciples ten days of prayers and yes, the fire fell. We are going with that. We are following in their footsteps. Wish we could have all the time in the world. Wish we could all be gathered in one place but no problems, we can always connect online and still have the fire spread.
March is that month that we are stepping into Zoe! We are tarrying until we carry! We are praying until the power is activated in our innermost.
The Olive set of the Woman in His Steps Disicpleship Course has just graduated. You cannot just go and fall back into your rooms, cold and lifeless after the fire of the course has died down in you. The New Generation of 2024 also, where are you? Are you still continuing powerfully? Is the prophecy of being a ‘Dynamite’ constantly being fulfilled in you?
We must pray! The ones who hadn’t tasted the Holy Spirit must taste Him! You must carry God!! It is not just for pastors or for people who are into the ministry. Every child of God should be so filled with the Holy Spirit till rivers of living water burst out of her! The ones who have lost the connection must reconnect! The ones who are enjoying Him must go deeper. The ones who are waist deep must now swim in! The BUD Family Africa cannot just be by name, we must be empowered for this name and calling!
March 8th to March 18th, 4.30am to 5.30am prompt, let’s gather in our own Upper Chamber and cry for the promise of the Father until fire falls! Ready? Get set. Get all that you need set. Start praying, probably fast, you can even start reading (Ablaze for God by Wesley Duewel, our book for the month can be a good start. That booookkkk! It will be shared in the group soon). Get your devices ready, internet set. If you don’t have data, reach out to any of the admins and ask for that. Charge your devices and set alarms. Let your bestie wake you up, call the family member you know and encourage one another. Let us pray until fire falls. Are you ready?
