TOPIC: AN OVERFLOW OF FINANCIAL BREAKTHROUGHS AND FAVOUR
TEXT: II CORINTHIANS 8:9, PSALMS 102:13, PHILIPPIANS 4:19
BIBLE READING: GALATIANS 3
Today is the 9th day of July and yes, the 9th day of the Juicy July program. We bless God for having brought us thus far, indeed the Lord God is faithful, glory to God, Hallelujah.
I welcome you once again sisters to this powerful, life-changing, special program. I bet you’ve been wet, soaked, drenched in the outpouring showers from our heavenly father, for while we yet speak, the Lord has heard and answered us, and as a result, He’s just about starting with us.
What we have seen and tasted before now is just the tip of the iceberg, He’s launching us into the deep from today going forward in Jesus name. AMEN.
Let’s look into today’s topic as the Holy Spirit opens our eyes to the revelational truth and blessings in God’s word.
The topic is: AN OVERFLOW OF FINANCIAL BREAKTHROUGH AND FAVOUR!
Before today, we have experienced showers, we have been wet, we have been soaked, even drenched. We have experienced furnishing, and freedom, and even had to swim and drip, but today, it’s an overflowing experience.
Let a sister who’s ready for a great breakthrough shout: ‘OVERFLOW… 🔥’
There’s need for us to look into some key words in our topic today as the Holy Spirit illuminates our minds with understanding. I pray our eyes be opened to see, touch and catch the revelation we each need for our breakthroughs today in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
The word Overflow means:
To spread over…
To fill beyond the brim…
To flow over…
To overwhelm…
To be high above…
Gloooooorrrryyyyy!!!
The word Breakthrough means:
Any major progress that overcomes a significant obstacle…
An act of overcoming an obstacle…
An act of penetrating restrictions…
The word Favour means:
Gaining divine approval or acceptance…
Special benefits or blessings…
A divine kindness…
God stepping into one’s situation to make a worthwhile difference…
Financial breakthrough and favour:
Having abundance materially and financially…
A sudden, unexpected change in your worth and financial value
Let’s look at II Corinthians 8:9
“You are familiar with the generosity of our Master, Jesus Christ. Rich as he was, he gave it all away for us–in one stroke he became poor and we became rich.” (MSB)
Let’s also look at Psalms 102:13
“You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favour to her; the appointed time has come.” (NIV)
And then, Philippians 4:19
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” (NLT)
Halleluyah!
From the above verses, we can be assured that poverty is an enemy that God has defeated for you. This is clear very well in 2 Corinthians 8:9 above. This scripture shows that Jesus has broken the yoke of poverty. However, many Christians are still poor.
What is poverty?
- It is a condition where there is little or no money and other material possessions.
- It is a state of scarcity of means to live.
- The yoke of poverty is therefore an evil spiritual hold on someone that quashes their ability to prosper in life.
- A yoke of poverty frustrates your efforts to be rich financially and materially.
There are some signs to note when someone is operating under the yoke of poverty. There would be:
- Investment without profit
- Wrong investment errors,
- Immense debts
- Complete lack of means to get the basic things of life
- Inability to settle even very little debts, etc.
Some days ago, I came across a social media post and I believe it wasn’t a coincidence. The post said and I quote “Many of us are not going through a lot, all we need is just money.”
It is so true that one of the major problems common to man is the issue of finance, lack of money. Yes, everybody has need of money. However, as children of God, Joint heirs with Christ, money problem shouldn’t be our lot.
We are not meant to be poor because Jesus has exchanged our poverty for his riches, He willingly became poor so that you and I, sisters, can become rich, kai 😭
So, what happened to us?
Why are we beggarly?
Why are we wallowing in poverty?
Why are we eating from hand to mouth?
Why are we wearing rags in the name of clothing?
How can we be suffering nonstop?
Does it mean Christ’s sacrifice is useless, null and void in our lives?
Capital NO! It’s a blatant lie from the pit of hell.
“… yet for your sakes (yours and mine) HE became poor…”
The Bible didn’t say He will become or that He is becoming, He already did, past tense sisters, past tense, all that riches that He had, He gave it all up for you and for me, so tell me, why is the story different with you, why is the story different with me?
But wait, sisters!
Did you read the text above that talks about ‘favour’?
Let me show you.
Psalms 102:13 says: “You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favour to her; the appointed time has come.” (NIV)
Oh my! Sisters, what do you think would happen if favour steps in our financial states right now?
If an overflow of favour visits your family right now, what do you think would happen?
Wait! What exactly is favour?
Favour is an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual. We can therefore describe divine favour as tangible evidence that a person has the approval of God.
Oh my!
I can say that favour is when God decides to step into our situations and surprise us!
Oh sisters, are you getting this?
When He steps in, poverty must step out!
Lacks must get out!
Begging must give up!
Debts must bow!
Halleluyah!
Then, what can favour do to our finances?
Let’s quickly examine three Bible stories and pick some lessons from them.
The story of Queen Esther in Esther 4:11, Esther 5:1-3
11 “All the king’s officials and the people of the royal provinces know that for any man or woman who approaches the king in the inner court without being summoned the king has but one law: that they be put to death unless the king extends the gold sceptre to them and spares their lives. But thirty days have passed since I was called to go to the king.”
5 On the third day Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the palace, in front of the king’s hall. The king was sitting on his royal throne in the hall, facing the entrance.
2 When he saw Queen Esther standing in the court, he was pleased with her and held out to her the gold scepter that was in his hand. So Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter.
3 Then the king asked, “What is it, Queen Esther? What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be given you.”
Ayaaaaaaa, former poor Hadassah on the streets of Persia was in front of the whole king, her poverty and that of her people about to be forgotten forever!
From here, we can see that:
- When the day of one’s favour comes, traditions and protocols will be set aside. Remember that the tradition obtainable then was that no one went into the forecourts of the king without invitation. The penalty was death. But because it was the set time to favour Esther and the Jews, that tradition was suspended and the King lifted his sceptre towards her.
The Story of the man at the Pool of Bethesda– John 5:1-15
Let’s quickly look at this interesting story:
5 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.
From here, we can see that:
- Wherever you are, favour can locate you
- Favour brings you under divine focus and attention
- Favour does not care about your background, history, limitations and the past.
- Favour brings to an end years of stagnation, unfruitfulness and frustration instantly
The Story of Fisherman Peter- Luke 5: 1-8
5 One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God.
2 He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets.
3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”
5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”
6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.
7 So they signalled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!”
From here, we can learn that:
- The fact that you are experienced does not mean that you would not have struggles or disappointments. Peter had so much experience with fishing but his experience failed him.
- Favour turns our struggles into testimonies
- Favour singles us out for an overflowing miracle
- Favour makes us sing a new song.
This is exactly what we need right now, sisters. We all need financial breakthroughs in one way or the other and we need favour to flow in to our lives so that every unfavorable happenings in our lives would give way. Amen?

The glorious riches of Christ have been given to us, and we live no longer in poverty but in abundance in the mighty name of Jesus.
Please pray fervently and earnestly. The heavens over you are already opened, and your answers pour out in torrential showers in Jesus mighty name.
LET’S DIG IN NOW:
Begin to appreciate the name of your Father who’s in heaven.
Tell Him how much you love and appreciate Him.
Call Him beautiful and sweet names that He bears, and that He has been to you.
Please for His mercy peradventure you have falling short of His glory. Ask him to forgive you.
NOW, LET’S GO DEEPER
My finance come forth in the name of Jesus.

Every stone that will not allow my finance, my wealth, my prosperity to get to me, I call on heavenly angels to begin to roll you away now in the name of Jesus.
I release the ministry of angels to roll away every stone hindering the extension of my finances, my wealth, my prosperity in the mighty name of Jesus.
Every door, every gate shut against my finance, Holy Ghost fire consume you, give way now in the name of Jesus.
Every financial misfortune turns to me now for testimonies in the name of Jesus.
I receive supernatural supplies in the mighty name of Jesus.
I’m favoured on every side in every area of my life and endeavours in the mighty name of Jesus.
I decree and declare that my name attracts favour in Jesus name.
Favour speaks for me in unimaginable ways in Jesus name.
I decree and declare it is my set time, it is my favour time, my set time is now in the name of Jesus.
I breakthrough financially by the blood of Jesus.
The level of favour I experience and enjoy going forward begin to multiply by the fire of the Holy Ghost.
O God my father anoints my head today with oil of prosperity and let my bank account overflow with money in the name of Jesus.
As from this moment, my position has changed from borrower to lender in the name of Jesus.
Father, I ask You in the name of Jesus to send ministering spirits to bring in prosperity and funds into my business.
Let men bless me anywhere I go.
I loose angels in the mighty name of Jesus to go and create favour for my company.
Every good thing presently eluding my business should flow into it in the mighty name of Jesus.
I reject every spirit of financial embarrassment in the mighty name of Jesus.
Father, block every space causing unprofitable leakage to my company in the mighty name of Jesus.
No more debts, no more financial setbacks! I experience no diminishing return in the mighty name of Jesus.
The riches of Christ are poured out on me.
The favour of Christ envelopes me all about.
Overflow of favour, overflow of wealth, overflow of riches, overflow of abundance I begin to enjoy now in the mighty name of Jesus.
I decree and declare my reality is overflow of breakthrough financially, materially, favour wise (mentioned them as the spirit leads) is mine in Jesus name.
LET’S MAKE SOME DECLARATIONS BEFORE WE ROUND OFF:
As God was with Joseph in Potiphar’s house and business, so the Lord is with me.
As things prospered in Joseph’s hand, so all that I lay my hands upon shall prosper.
I will be blessed at home and I will be blessed in the fields, in the name of Jesus.
My God has enough riches in heaven in Christ Jesus. Henceforth, I possess the riches of heaven, in Jesus’ name.
I have passed through the night of financial crisis. Beginning from today, my morning of joy is starting in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
The Lord prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies. He anoints my head with oil, my cup runneth over (Psalm 23:5).
The wealth of the sinner is laid up for me (Proverbs 13:22).
I am like a tree that is planted by the rivers of water. Everything I do shall prosper. (Psalm 1:3.)
I will not faint, for in due time and at the appointed season, I shall reap if I faint not. (Gal. 6:9.)
My God supplies all of my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19.)
There will be no poverty of body, soul and spirit in my life. The anointing of God upon my life gives me favour in the eyes of God and man all the days of my life. I shall not labour in vain. I shall walk this day in victory and liberty of the spirit.
Continue to pray as you’re led.
Raise your prayer journal before heaven, decree and declare ‘Every of my prayer requests as written down in this journal turn to me now for an overflow of testimonies in the mighty name of Jesus.
Bless the name of the Lord for answered prayers.
