TESTIMONY HIGHLIGHT
Let us read through these testimonies before we start to pray. May your own testimony also arrive speedily and gloriously to the Glory of the Lord alone in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
TESTIMONY 1: I’m here to testify of God’s goodness. Each time I read the testimonies here, I’m reminded that I haven’t shared mine yet and wonder when I will. First, I want to bless God for His supernatural provisions. Around this time last year, I was nearing the period for my postgraduate project. Anyone in the Animal Production Department knows how challenging finances can be, from buying the animals, formulating their feed for the experiment, and providing shelter for them. These were expenses I couldn’t afford at the time. My supervisor initially promised to let us use his animals, requiring only that we feed them and gather the necessary data. Unfortunately, he lost all his animals. It felt like all hope was lost, and the project had to be done. My supervisor told me I had to find the money myself and that he couldn’t help. I wrote this challenge in my journal as a prayer point, asking God for supernatural provisions. Trust me, God came through. He surprised me, and now I’m finally done with my project. I return all the glory to God.
Second, I’ve been trusting God for my sister’s marriage. She and her husband had been living in different states, which isn’t healthy for them or their kids. I wrote down a request, not knowing how God would do it, but asking Him to bring them together under the same roof. Before the end of last year, the process of them living together began. We are trusting God for perfection by August, and I believe God will perfect it.
Third, in July 2023, I was in a relationship where I had lost my peace. I prayed to God for clarity on what to do. Issues that I had been ignoring became clear to me, and the relationship ended. I want to bless the name of the Lord that I didn’t settle with him before these revelations. It could have been a disaster. I bless God for His intervention.
TESTIMONY 2: The Lord gave my sister a bouncing baby girl during theis juicy July after 4years 8month of waiting
TESTIMONY 3: I really want to thank God for what He did for me, one of my prayer requests for this juicy July was for me to get my confirmation letter at work. Actually sometime around late May/early June this year, they started giving out these confirmation letters, infact I was the one who informed some of my colleagues and we went together, on getting there, they got their letters but mine wasn’t there, infact my file was not even in that office at all talk less of the letter, they told me I should check back the next week which I did, still my file wasn’t there, after much going back and forth, the file was found and they printed the letter, next was for it to be signed and given to me but I was told they wouldn’t give it to me directly again that it had to follow due process to get to my Department and then I’ll get it from there, it kept delaying, so I included it in my prayer requests for juicy July, that I will get it this month but from Sunday, during my prayers, I started telling God that I wanted to get the letter this week and did God answer! I went back to the same office today and the man handed over my confirmation letter to me! Hallelujah! God is indeed faithful, I trust God that all other requests will also be turned to me for testimonies soonest to the glory of His name, Amen.
TESTIMONY 4: I really want to bless the name of the Lord for such a community like the BUD FAMILY. I joined the family last year before the commencement of the JUICY JULY and it was also my birth month at the time and yet my birth month again. Yes, I’ve asked God for a community that I’d be discipled in His ways and also be accountable to and HE used a dear sister to shew me this platform. And I must say I am graced to be a part of this BLESSED FAMILY. Secondly, at the time of the JUICY JULY last year,I had just finished my final year awaiting service year, the Lord indeed glorified himself I’m serving now and in a place where HE hath already gone ahead of me to bless the ground. I also want to thank the Lord for my elder sister, she delivered my Neice on the 1st day of Juicy July. Indeed, the hands of the Lord hath been evident in my family and I want to return all glory to HIM! PRAISE THE LORD.👏👏
TESTIMONY 5: Last year juicy July, there was never a day I broke my fast earlier than 6pm, it has helped me to fast for longer period since then, because my number one prayer request was spiritual fervency. I got healed of chest, upper back, breast and arm pains. Before, the pains always begin at once. I asked for a healthy baby before 2024 juicy July, and God did in May. I’m typing this testimony with my baby on my chest. I asked for divine provisions for my daughter, God has been faithful, someone has been footing everything that pertains to her schooling. My Msc result was approved, after a long time, and I got the notification on Oct, 2023. I got a Job. I’ve been enjoying divine favor and help on all sides, together with my family. Financial provisions right, left, and centre. All these are written as prayer requests last year juicy July, and they have all turned into testimonies to the glory of God alone.
PRAYER
Praise the Lord for the testimonies. Ask the Lord to take all the glory for them. Ask that the Lord will glorify Himself the more in the lives of the testifiers. And that the Lord will give everyone heartily participating in the Juicy July Prayer programme great testimonies to the glory of His Name. Ask for your own testimonies also.
THE VICTIM OF CIRCUMSTANCES CURSE
We all have experienced moments when life seems to conspire against us. These moments can make us feel powerless, as if we are merely pawns in a cruel game. To be a victim of circumstances means to be at the receiving end of evil. It means to suffer from situations beyond one’s control, resulting in pain, suffering, or disadvantage. It means to be a disadvantaged person. It means being caught in the snare of unforeseen and uncontrollable events that bring about suffering/pain. This can include accidents, unwarranted hatred, hardships, envy, jealousy anger and so on.
HOW DOES THIS CURSE MANIFEST?
This curse can be manifested in so many way. I will be showing us some of them now so that we can get a hang of the topic and pray vigorously against it.
INSTANCE 1: There is a new business model in town and everyone seems to be enjoying it, making a lot of profits and being blessed by it. You decided to watch it for a while and after some months, you decided to put in a substantial amount of money in it. Just a few minutes after depositing your lump sum in it, the business model collapses. Gbam! It was as if the business model was expecting you to put in the money so that it can crash with it. People started to ask you if you had not been seeing the news for the past few days. That there had been a rumour that it was about to crash and so many people had been able to get their money out. You are shocked to the bone because you had been on the lookout, doing your research well. That is being a victim of circumstances.
INSTANCE 2: There was a pathetic story of a lady that was killed in a BRT bus in Lagos some months ago, right? Oh, that story made me weep sheepishly. The lady, Banke, I think was a victim of circumstances. She thought she was just going to surprise her elder sister. She thought she was just entering a normal BRT bus. She never knew that her end had arrived. She never knew that the BRT bus was where she would be finished up by human butchers. Oh, God have mercy!
Innocently entering into dangerous situations; falling into the hands of kidnappers; walking into death traps; stepping on charms etc are all examples of falling victim to circumstances!
INSTANCE 3: A professor was said to have waited for 12 years to have a child. They waited on the Lord, prayed and fasted. And God answered their prayers. To assist his wife, he went to the village and picked up a 12 year-old girl. Unknowing to him, he was picking up a demonic lady who was deep in witchcraft. With his own hands, he went to bring evil into his own home. It was after the girl had succeeded at killing him (because the coven said his death would be so ‘delicious’ for them) that the girl confessed.
That was how the professor fell victim to a well-planned circumstance against his life and destiny. When one helps those with terrible malicious intentions, one might eventually fall victim to circumstances.
INSTANCE 4: Everyone gives a good testimony about a particular man for instance. They tell you how godly, calm, helpful and amazing the man is. Everyone you have met who has related with him gives this testimony. Then, it was your turn to meet him but the first thing that greeted your ears was a thunderous shout. Then, he tells you to walk out of his office! And you are shocked. Even everyone is shocked that that was your experience. The secretary then explains that he had just arrived from a court session that had just finalised his divorce. Hmmm, that is being a victim of circumstances- meeting good people on their bad days.
INSTANCE 5: There are certain people who have been marked by the wicked ones for slaughter and destruction. The vehicle they would enter that day had been marked for a fatal accident. If someone enters that bus and despite the Holy Spirit’s warning for the person to get down, the person refused because of time and whatever he needs to meet up with, he’d finally be a victim of circumstances. Being on the same boat with someone or something that is fated for disaster.
INSTANCE 6: I heard of a young boy who was just roaming about his street one day when the police stormed their vicinity. They started to spray the tear gas and I think that tampered with his coordination. Before you know it, one of the policemen hit this guy’s head with the bottom of his gun. That was how he lost consciousness. For so many days, he was unconscious. When he woke up finally, he had become something else- slow, mentally ill, uncoordinated and so on! Oh, he was a victim of circumstances.
I can go on and on but let’s stop here. I am sure you now have an understanding of what this topic means.
VICTIMS OF CIRCUMSTANCES IN THE BIBLE
Here are some biblical examples of individuals who were victims of circumstances:
- Jacob: Jacob was cheated by his father-in-law, Laban, who deceived him into marrying Leah before Rachel and changed his wages multiple times. Despite Jacob’s diligence and integrity, he found himself at the mercy of Laban’s treachery (Genesis 29:25-27). That was how the father-in-law turned him into a polygamist by fire by force. And he robbed him of his years and labour and wages.
- Joseph: Joseph was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and later falsely accused and imprisoned in Egypt. He was an innocent young man who faced great trials due to the envy and malice of others (Genesis 37, 39).
- Job: Job faced immense suffering, losing his wealth, health, and family. Though he was a righteous man, his life was struck by calamity after calamity, testing his faith to the core (Job 1-2).
- Dinah: Dinah, the daughter of Jacob, went out to visit the women of the land, but her innocent stroll turned tragic when she was violated by Shechem (Genesis 34).
- Eve: Eve was deceived by the Devil, leading to the fall of mankind. Her gullibility and disobedience to God’s command resulted in catastrophic consequences (Genesis 3). She was a victim of circumstances that were greater than her. She was oblivious to the fact that what the Devil was doing through the serpent was a continuous of his rebellion against God! She was roped in between and submitted humanity into the hands of the Devil!
- John the Baptist: John became a victim of King Herod’s rash vow. To satisfy the request of Herodias’ daughter, Herod beheaded John, an innocent man who spoke the truth (Matthew 14:6-10). Can you see that? Herod was so impressed by his daughter that to satisfy his daughter, he asked her to make any demand. And you know what the girl asked for? John’s head! Oh my! What a victim of circumstances John was!
- Peter: The devil had planned a circumstance for Peter. He was ready to sift him like wheat! And if not because Jesus had foreseen this and prayed ahead, his plan might have come through! Peter would think he was the one really denying Christ, he wouldn’t realise that it was the Devil planning his ‘wheat-sifting’ circumstance! (Luke 22:31-32).
- Hezekiah’s Son: Hezekiah carelessly showed everything in his palace to the envoys from Babylon, leading to the eventual plundering of all he had shown (2 Kings 20:12-19). The prophet came and asked him about it and he confirmed it that he had indeed showed the Babylonians everything in the palace and the temple. He gave the enemies a free exploratory excursion into his life. The prophet said that for what he had done, everything those envoys had seen would be taken away- but during his sons’ reign. He was satisfied with that judgement as long as it wouldn’t happen during his own time. Oh what a selfish father! Hezekiah’s son became a victim of his father’s sin and carelessness. How unfortunate!
- David: David became a victim of circumstances when he saw Bathsheba bathing. He was supposed to be on the battleground, leading his people to war! He was instead relaxing and fell into victimhood! (2 Samuel 11). This is a situation that happens and would have people say ‘Ah, and I should have been at the church o’; ‘Ah, and my sister asked me to go with her o’; ‘Ah, had I known….!’
These examples show how individuals, despite their integrity or righteousness, can fall victim to circumstances beyond their control. It shows how the curse of victimhood can strike unexpectedly and bring about severe consequences. Oh may the Lord indeed deliver us from evil in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
HOW DOES THIS CURSE COME?
The Bible says, “A curse causeless shall not come” (Proverbs 26:2). Here are some reasons why this curse may manifest in our lives:
- Carelessness: As in the case of Eve, who got deceived by the serpent. She was carelessly chatting away with the ancient , witty serpent! She should have consulted her husband for clarification when she suddenly saw a serpent talking to her like a human! (Genesis 3:6).
- Spiritual Insensitivity: Being dull of hearing, sight, and understanding in spiritual matters can make us fall into these snares, having the curse activated over us. (1 Corinthians 2:14).
- Reaping What We Sow: As in the case of Jacob, who deceived his father and his brother and was later deceived by Laban (Galatians 6:7).
- Love of Pleasures: As in the case of Dinah, whose desire for worldly experiences led her into danger. She was just strolling around, trying to see the ladies of the land. How they dressed, how they looked etc. Before you know it, evil eyes had seen her and sooner than she probably expected, she was being feasted on! (James 4:1-3).
- Talkativeness: As in the case of Joseph, who unwisely shared his dreams with his jealous brothers (Proverbs 13:3). Joseph had the first dream and foolishly let it out. The second one, he still foolishly announced it. He thought it was his brethren he was sharing the dreams with. Little did he know that they were his enemies! He became victims of circumstances but for God’s mercies.
- Father’s Sins: As in the case of Hezekiah’s son, who suffered due to his father’s actions (Exodus 20:5).
- Laziness and Spiritual Laxity: As in the case of David, who fell into sin during a moment of idleness (2 Samuel 11:1-2).
EFFECTS OF THIS CURSE
- Makes Life Difficult and Unbearable: Victims of circumstances often find life extremely challenging.
- Destroys Hope: It can make people wonder what their hope is and where God is in their suffering.
- Hinders Progress: Creates barriers to success and fulfillment.
- Induces Fear and Anxiety: Leads to constant worry about the future.
- Erodes Faith: Makes it challenging to trust in God’s goodness and promises.
- Causes Emotional Distress: Leads to depression, stress, and other mental health issues.
- Generates Financial Hardship: Results in significant economic losses and struggles.
- Strains Relationships: Puts pressure on personal and professional relationships.
- Physical Suffering: Leads to health problems and physical pain.
- Spiritual Dryness: Causes a sense of spiritual emptiness and distance from God.
HOW TO BE FREE FROM THIS CURSE:
- Repentance and Confession: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Turning away from sin and seeking God’s forgiveness is the first step to gaining freedom over this evil curse.
- Breaking Generational Curses: All the circumstances that the sins of our fathers and forefathers have created for us to make us victims when they are gone, we must destroy and break them by the fire of the Holy Ghost.
- Spiritual Warfare: Just like we will do today, when you notice that the Devil seems to have created a victimhood around your life, you must not sit still anymore sis. You must quit the pity party. You must rise up now and fight back!
- Being Watchful: The Bible says we should watch and pray. Being Watchful has to do with growing in the spirit. It is with the Spirit’s eyes and ears that we can them watch carefully without falling victim!
- Don’t be lazy!: Quit spiritual laziness if you would like to live as a victor and not a victim, sis. The Devil is looking for that slightest doze to introduce some naked Bathshebas to you which will destroy your life forever. Don’t be a victim! Arise to all the tasks the Lord has given you. Let your hands not be idle. Be a spiritual person. Build spiritual disciplines, sis!
- Seeking God’s Guidance: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Praying for wisdom and direction in all decisions will keep us away from the curse of the Devil!
- Living Righteously: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). Striving to live according to God’s will and purposes will keep us from harm’s way.
- Talk less: Don’t be too loose and too open. The world encourages that because the Devil uses that to get information from and about you. The Bible instructs us to be slow to speak! Let God lead you to the people He’d love you to talk to, the people He’d love you to open up to- that’s if He so desires! Let it come from Him, sis! Be wise like a serpent!

PRAYER TIME
WORSHIP
Let us take some quality time to worship the Lord for His Word that we have just gone through. Thank Him for the specific revelations that He has given you today. Adore the Lord for who He is. Tell Him how wonderful His works are! Tell the Creator how excellent all He has made are.
SPIRITUAL SANITATION
Begin to sanitize your life right now. Rid your life of every sins and iniquities with the Blood of Jesus. The Lord does not hear the prayers coming from the mouth of a sinner, but if such confesses and forsakes the sins, the Lord will have mercy, hear and forgive.
ATMOSPHERIC SANITATION
Now, take charge of your environment. Begin to cover where you are now with the Blood of Jesus. Cover yourself with the fire of the Holy Ghost.
NOW, LET’S PRAY
Heavenly Father, I thank You because You are sovereign over every circumstance in my life. I acknowledge Your supreme power and control over all things.
Lord, I repent of any sin, carelessness, or disobedience that has opened the door for this curse in my life. Cleanse me with the blood of Jesus and make me whole.
In the name of Jesus, I break every generational curse and negative pattern that has affected me and my family. I declare that we are free from all ancestral bondages.
(Hold your head tightly and declare) Oh my head, you will never be unfortunate in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
Father, help me never to join myself together to a boat, a ship, a life that has been destined for destruction in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Spirit of victimhood (7x), get out of my life now! Get out of my way now! In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ!
Father, grant me spiritual sensitivity and discernment to recognize and avoid traps and pitfalls. Open my eyes to see and my ears to hear Your guidance.
Lord, cover me with Your protection. Guard me against every form of evil, accident, and harm. Let Your angels encamp around me and my loved ones.
Empower me, O Lord, to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Strengthen me to resist every attack and to overcome every trial by the power of Your Spirit.
Father, I confess my gullibility, please be my wisdom. I confess my blindness, please be my eyes. I confess my deafness, be my ears, my Lord forever.
(Touch yourself from head to toes) ………(Call your name) You will never cooperate with the evil spirits seeking to destroy you from this day forward. May every part of you refuse every onslaughts of the enemy from this day forward in Jesus Name. Amen. Qq
Father, deliver me from every association or relationship that is not of You and that brings harm or negativity into my life. Help me to discern and distance myself from such influences.
Lord, grant me wisdom and guidance in all my decisions and actions. Lead me in the path of righteousness for Your name’s sake.
Heavenly Father, restore and redeem every area of my life where I have been a victim of circumstances. Turn my trials into testimonies and my pain into purpose.
Increase my faith and trust in You, O Lord. Help me to rely on Your promises and to walk by faith, not by sight.
In the name of Jesus, I declare victory over every adversity and challenge. I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me.
Lord, surround me with Your favor as a shield. Open doors of opportunities and blessings for me, and close every door that leads to harm or misfortune.
Father, heal me from all past hurts and trauma caused by being a victim of circumstances. Mend my broken heart and restore my joy.
Give me the boldness to proclaim Your deliverance and testify of Your goodness. Let my life be a testimony of Your power to save and set free.
Lord, help me to stay committed to Your Word and prayer. Let Your Word be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
From this day forward, Lord, take me to the level of a victor, I have been a victim for too long, dear Father. Upgrade my status in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
DECLARE THESE BOLDLY:
In the mighty name of Jesus, I declare that I am no longer a victim of circumstances. I am a child of God, victorious, and walking in the freedom and authority given to me by Christ. Amen!
I declare that every chain of bondage, misfortune, and hardship is broken in my life. I am free and triumphant through the power of Jesus Christ. Amen!
By the power of the Holy Spirit, I declare that I am covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Amen!
I proclaim that I am surrounded by God’s favor and protection. Every plan of the enemy against my life is nullified and void. Amen!
In Jesus’ name, I declare that my steps are ordered by the Lord, and I walk in divine wisdom, avoiding every trap and snare of the enemy. Amen!
I declare that I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me. No circumstance can defeat me because God is with me. Amen!
By faith, I declare that I am blessed and highly favoured. The blessings of God overtake me, and I experience His goodness in every area of my life. Amen!
I declare that I have the mind of Christ. I am not ruled by fear or anxiety, but by the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. Amen!
By the authority of Jesus Christ, I declare that every negative circumstance in my life is turning around for my good. What the enemy meant for evil, God is using for my benefit. Amen!
I proclaim that I am a victor, not a victim. I am rising above every challenge and walking in the victory that Christ has won for me. Amen!
I declare that I am anchored in God’s truth and promises. I stand firm and unshaken, knowing that my God is faithful and will deliver me from all harm. Amen!
By the power of Jesus’ name, I declare that I am free from every curse, and I walk in the fullness of God’s blessings and favor. Amen!

Lord pls connect me to my destiny helpers. Lord pls give me a good and a better job. Lord pls take me from where I am now to where I need and ought to be in life and destiny. Lord pls have mercy on me, send me help and favour me. Lord pls keep and preserve me and my household from all evils and perfect all that concerns us. Lord pls connect me to my husband so we can get married for your glorification. Lord help me to burn for you, love you, serve you and be closer to you like never before. Lord pls guide and direct me to the right place to relocate to. Lord pls help my life and destiny.
I want to be engaged with one of your favorite and best son. My God, I want you to help me to fast-track the process of my dad’s gratuity. I want you to save Blessing from sins. My Lord, I want to work with the ministry of works or in an environmental sector like NMGSA. CONNECT me and provide the job for me in Jesus name. My God, I want Favour, my sister to get married before the end of this year according to your will and if is not your will, open her eye to see in Jesus name. Build me up to become the lady or woman you want me to become spiritually, emotionally, martially, and intellectually. Provide money for me to complete my project in Jesus name amen
The road that leads to our house has been blocked for like 3years now just by a single person and the matter has been in court but this people are diabolical and it seems it’s impossible for this road to be opened. I want God to make a way back on this street miraculously, and grants victory over this case even before this year runs out. There’s a house project we embarked on, I want God to help us finish it as it is literal beyond us. God should restore Judah’s sight, we’ve gone for eye surgery, but something went wrong he still couldn’t see properly, we need God’s intervention.
I woke up about 3 weeks ago with first a rash on my hand and then my chest and now it’s a full blown terrible hives like on the whole of my body except my face. I was told it’s allergic reaction. I’ve gone to the hospital used various recommendations but I’m seeing little to no serious progress. I want the daughters of God to please pray that God will heal me completely from the inside and clear my skin to make it like that of a baby before the end of this month. I also want prayers concerning our project that it will never be marked for destruction, demolition will never come near that area and what God has given to us, it will never be taken away from us in Jesus name. Amen. Also that the project of my parents will be completed before this year ends and to the glory of God’s name. Amen
I want sisters to join me in prayer for my father. He has health challenge related to bladder causing him to be urinating incessantly. He has become so lean due to this. He has been going to the hospital for series of tests and all. I want every health challenge to disappear without any trace with divine and perfect healing. My elder sister is in battling with different disappointment maritally. This is affecting a lot of things. I want God to intervene, direct her to get it right and perfect her marital life with divine settlement before the end of this year. My younger brother is starting exam next week Monday, he’s in his final year at the University. I ask for exceptional spirit of excellence in his final programs.
My brother just gained admission to uni and his first semester result wasn’t okay at all, I want us to pray that God will help him in the remaining semesters he has in the school, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit and ability to be able to read and also God should raise help for him(in every area) and give him God ordained Friends., that whatever he needs to succeed in school God should give to him . I would also want God to touch him spiritually too, I want my brother to know and experience God( not just the head knowledge but an intimate relationship with Christ), I want him to Love Jesus, let him come to the purpose to which God has called him to be. God should reveal himself to him. The Holy Spirit should continually touch him and convict him till he submits totally to Christ. I want God to work on me too. I want to know God more, I want to have an hunger and thirst that will always drive me to the presence of God. I want to always want to pray, I want to read the Bible and understand it better and hear the holyspirit speaking to me.
My little sister(9 yrs) told me recently of how she heard the voice of God from her sleep and how she woke up and gave her life to Christ. I really don’t know what to pray about but I want God to perfect the work He has started in her. God should give her hunger and thirst for him. I know she’s not too young to know God.. In all, that the will of God be fulfilled in I and my siblings life. God should help me in my exams and give me a perfect gpa this semester (5.0).
I want the children of God to join me in prayers for my family. For the past 5 to 6 years now we’ve not made any significant progress especially my elder siblings. Help me pray that every stronghold working against my family’s progress be broken. My sister’s life is restored, she goes back to her normal state and make progress spiritually, financially and maritally in Jesus name! My brother’s life takes a new shape and the glory that the enemy has kept from shining all this while breaks forth and shines bright in Jesus name! My parents’ finances be revived! I make progress in my career, get a good job and my marital life is settled by the power of the Lord in Jesus name! Enough is enough for all the works of darkness working against my life and family in Jesus name. Amen!
NOW TO OUR PRAYER JOURNALS
Let us raise our prayer list to the Lord and tell Him all about our requests. Let us ask the Father in the Name of Jesus to turn those requests into testimonies for us according to His Will in Jesus’ Name. Let us pray fervently on them before we move on.
