The BUD Family Africa is a Christ-centred, interdenominational family of women committed to walking in the footsteps of Jesus, embracing biblical femininity, and living in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our full name is The BABES of Unique Dynamite Family, where BABES stands for

Sister
We began in February 2016 under the leadership of Lizzy Oyebola Yakubu (Mrs. Yaks) as a small gathering of women longing for purity, purpose, strength, and intimacy with God. Today, we are a growing family of sisters across Africa and beyond, women whose hearts burn for God’s Will above all else.
The BUD Family Africa exists to raise women who walk in the footsteps of Jesus; women who live for the glory of God and carry the fragrance of Christ to their homes, campuses, workplaces, and nations.
Restore true womanhood in a generation drowning in confusion.
Raise quality disciples, not followers of trends or emotions.
Call women back to the ancient paths of holiness, submission, purity, and strength.
Train women to host the Holy Spirit in their daily decisions, thoughts, words, and lifestyles.
Build godly families, because families build the Church, and the Church shapes society.
Equip women for spiritual warfare, intercession, discernment, and doctrinal purity.
Flood the world with godly media that reflects Heaven and silences darkness.
Strengthen African women to take their place as pillars, priests, and builders in God’s kingdom.
The BUD Family is first and foremost a home, a family of God’s daughters. We are a community of sisters who believe that no woman should walk this journey alone. We choose to flock, to grow together, to honour the Scripture that says “do not forsake the assembling of the brethren.”
Whether online or during our occasional physical meet-ups, we are constantly connected. We encourage one another. We pray for one another. We share burdens and victories. We give counsel, wisdom, and sisterly warmth. We walk side by side, holding each other up as the Lord helps us.
We offer structured discipleship programs such as:
These programs train African women to walk closely with God, cultivate deep roots, overcome the flesh, and become pillars in their generation.
The BUD Family is a house of prayer. Prayer is one of our strongest foundations, and we give ourselves to it continually. Through Juicy July (our seven-year-strong annual prayer journey), Dynamite December, and our monthly fasts, we stay on our knees before God.
And recently, through The Women on the Wall Intercessors, we are raising watchwomen who pray for our homes, our churches, our sisters, and the continent of Africa. We contend for the faith, wage spiritual warfare, and stand in prophetic intercession as the Lord helps us.
We use digital platforms to spread truth, purity, and holiness through:
We believe the media is a mission field and we are called to shine vigorously there.
We host powerful monthly and annual programs, both online and occasionally in person. Every gathering is designed to strengthen women spiritually, emotionally, and practically, helping each sister grow into the woman God has called her to be.
We believe Africa is rising, and that God is using women to build the foundations of righteousness again. We stand on the walls of nations, praying until revival burns from city to city. We teach truth. We fight false doctrines. We disciple the coming generation. We build godly marriages and homes. We raise women who carry the burden of their continent in prayer.
Whether young or mature, single or married, seasoned in faith or just starting your journey, there is a place for you here.
If you long for:
…then welcome home.
